    Is there any guidance on creating apps that will run on both professional (touch-screen) and standard (non-touch-screen) devices. I have a simple application that is mostly text and buttons that in theory should be able to run on both professional and standard devices with little if any modification. It seems the IDE wants to make this hard to impossible, but I expect it to be possible. Any advice?

    Hi Experts, I am having an issue with importing a large(60MB) CSV file in MYSQL DB. The problem arises when an address field has multiple comma seperated values e.g. home no, street no, town etc. I tried to use BigDump for it but, the problem did not solved because of a single field containing multiple comma separated values.   • Rails 3 beta 3 -- is it time to start using this for new projects?

    Is it time to start new projects in Rails 3? I'm nervous about using beta versions but at the same time I really like what they are doing and don't want to deal with legacy 2.3.5 issues with these apps.     In iTunes Connect, the first screenshot (on left) is not showing up as the first screenshot in the App Store. In one case the 3rd screenshot in iTunes Connect shows up 1st on the App Store and in another case the 4th screenshot is 1st on the App Store. Does anyone know how to specify the order of images? I found this question, that says the 1st screenshot in iTunes Connect should be 1st on the App Store, but that is not the case for my 2 apps. iTunes connect screenshot order

    I'm trying to figure out if I have points that make for example a square: * * * * and let's say I know the center of this square. I want a formula that will make it for eample twice its size but from the center * * * * * * * * Therefore the new shape is twice as large and from the center of the polygon.     I need to design a new framework for web based apps, including both UX guidelines and the art/graphic design guidelines such as what menus will look like, headers, colors, fonts etc. The UX designers I met, were unable to provide the artistic side, and the graphic designers didn't have the UX skills. Should I continue to look for one person with both skills, or is it better broken to two separate tasks?

  • Does the .NET Framework 4.0 intaller installs .NET 3.5 as well?

    .NET 4.0 is meant to run side-by-side with 3.5 and won't run 3.5 apps, which is making me worried about having to instruct my users to download .NET 3.5 instead of just "the latest version". I've read in a blog that the 4.0 installer will install 3.5 as well if it's not already installed but I can't test it right now, did anyone try this or have an answer from a trusted source?
