    I thought about this: Is there a performance difference in these two practices: Store the return value of a function in a temporary variable than give that variable as a parameter to another function. Put the function into the other function. Specification Assuming all classes and functions are written correctly. Case 1. ClassA a = function1(); ClassB b = function2(a); function3(b); Case 2. function3(function2(function1())); I know there aren't a big difference with only one run, but supposed that we could run this a lot of times in a loop, I created some tests.   • Do really need a count lock on Multi threads with one CPU core?

    What I mean is like have to user input a string with multiple variables and get the value of those variable. Like a simple quadratic formula: x^2 + 5x + 10. Or in java: (Math.pow(x,2)) + (x * 5) + 10The user would then enter that and then the program would solve for x. I will be using the BeanShell Interpreter class to interpret the string as an equation. But how would I solve for x?

  • Maintain case sensitivity when importing db into windows

    I have an export from a MYSQL database on a linux machine however when importing that database into MYSQL on windows all of the table names that were camel cased are now all lower case. The sql dump has the correct case in it but the importing via phpmyadmin seams to remove these. How can I import it and keep the case? Thanks

    I am dynamically creating a report, where I create a worksheet, bring in the records afresh. How can I easily type the field names and copy them to the cells. Without doing one cell per line, there are ~20 columns.
