  • Drupal: CCK ImageField, multi-line description

    - by Patrick
    hi, I'm using CCK Image field (multi-images) and for each image I have the "Description" field, where I can add the image description. I was wondering if I can have multi-line description, instead of only one line. (Even using some specific symbol to go next line) thanks

  • Iphone memory leak with malloc

    - by Icky
    Hello. I have memory leak, found by instruments and it is supposed to be in this line of code: indices = malloc( sizeof(indices[0]) * totalQuads * 6); This is actually a code snippet from a tutorial, something which i think is leak-free so to say. Now I reckon, the error is somewhere else, but I do not know, where. These are the last trackbacks: 5 ColorRun -[EAGLView initWithCoder:] /Users/thomaskopinski/programming/colorrun_3.26/Classes/EAGLView.m:98 4 ColorRun -[EAGLView initGame] /Users/thomaskopinski/programming/colorrun_3.26/Classes/EAGLView.m:201 3 ColorRun -[SpriteSheet initWithImageNamed:spriteWidth:spriteHeight:spacing:imageScale:] /Users/thomaskopinski/programming/colorrun_3.26/SpriteSheet.m:68 2 ColorRun -[Image initWithImage:scale:] /Users/thomaskopinski/programming/colorrun_3.26/Image.m:122 1 ColorRun -[Image initImpl] /Users/thomaskopinski/programming/colorrun_3.26/Image.m:158 0 libSystem.B.dylib malloc Does anyone know how to approach this?

  • How does Core Data determine if an NSObjects data can be dropped?

    - by Kevin
    In the app I am working on now I was storing about 500 images in Core Data. I have since pulled those images out and store them in the file system now, but in the process I found that the app would crash on the device if I had an array of 500 objects with image data in them. An array with 500 object ids with the image data in those objects worked fine. The 500 objects without the image data also worked fine. I found that I got the best performance with both an array of object ids and image data stored on the filesystem instead of in core data. The conclusion I came to was that if I had an object in an array that told Core Data I was "using" that object and Core Data would hold on to the data. Is this correct?

  • Programatically opening an xml file in MS Word

    - by Dan Revell
    I'm opening an xml file in Microsoft Word 2007 using C#. I'm using an xsl file to define the layout which worked up to the point that I needed to include an image. I used the typical src html tag and the image displays when the xml is viewed in ie but not when it's opened in Word. I get the image place holder so I can only assume Word simply can't find the image. It's sitting next to both the xml file and xsl file but that doesn't make any difference. To open the document I'm passing the filenames for both the xml and xsl. I would imagine that as the src is in the xsl it would just look relative to one of these files. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. [EDIT] Apologies I lost track of this one. I fixed it in the end. I'll check what my solution was tomorrow and update this.

  • Imagecache, Views, file renaming, and output directories

    - by Bruno
    I have been trying to figure this one out for awhile and just seem to be getting myself deeper into a rabbit hole.. I think it would be best if I would just explain what I am trying to accomplish and go from there.. Essentially what I would like to happen is a user would upload a photograph from the filefield sources on a content type, and then using views, it would output that different image through different imagecache actions.. The problem seems to be that the actual directories it is making is really cluttered and I would like it to be a little bit more organized due to some file renaming. Here is how I would like the process to happen: Upload image.jpg Imagecache resize 100x100 square and save file to same directory and name the file image-100.jpg Imagecache desaturate 100x100 square and save file to same directory and name the file image-d-100.jpg Currently it seems that every imagecache action will save that file in its own directory.. How can I specify a more customized output? Thanks, Anthony

  • UITableViewCell separator line disappears on scroll

    - by iconso
    I'm trying to have a separator cell with a custom image. I did try something like that: In my cellForRowAtIndexPath: NSString *cellIdentifier = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"identifier"]; UITableViewCell *cell = [tableView dequeueReusableCellWithIdentifier:cellIdentifier]; if (cell == nil) { cell = [[UITableViewCell alloc] initWithStyle:UITableViewCellStyleSubtitle reuseIdentifier:cellIdentifier]; } cell.textLabel.font = [UIFont fontWithName:@"Helvetica" size:19]; cell.textLabel.text = [self.menuItems objectAtIndex:indexPath.row]; cell.textLabel.textColor = [UIColor colorWithRed:128/255.0f green:129/255.0f blue:132/255.0f alpha:1.0f]; cell.backgroundColor = [UIColor whiteColor]; UIImageView *imagView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"reaL.png"]]; imagView.frame = CGRectMake(0, cellHeight, cellWidth, 1); [cell.contentView addSubview:imagView]; switch (indexPath.row) { case 0: cell.imageView.image = [self imageWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"img1.png"] scaledToSize:CGSizeMake(27, 27)]; cell.imageView.highlightedImage = [self imageWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"route.png"] scaledToSize:CGSizeMake(27, 27)]; break; case 1: cell.imageView.image = [self imageWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"img.png"] scaledToSize:CGSizeMake(27, 27)]; cell.imageView.highlightedImage = [self imageWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"money.png"] scaledToSize:CGSizeMake(27, 27)]; break; case 2: cell.imageView.image = [self imageWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"auto.png"] scaledToSize:CGSizeMake(27, 27)]; cell.imageView.highlightedImage = [self imageWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"cars.png"] scaledToSize:CGSizeMake(27, 27)]; break; case 3: cell.imageView.image = [self imageWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"impostazioni.png"] scaledToSize:CGSizeMake(27, 27)]; cell.imageView.highlightedImage = [self imageWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"impostazioni.png"] scaledToSize:CGSizeMake(27, 27)]; // cell.imageView.contentMode = UIViewContentModeScaleAspectFill; break; case 4: cell.imageView.image = [self imageWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"info.png"] scaledToSize:CGSizeMake(27, 27)]; cell.imageView.highlightedImage = [self imageWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"info.png"] scaledToSize:CGSizeMake(27, 27)]; break; default: break; } return cell; When I lunch the app everything is good, but when I scroll the the table, or when I select a cell the separator lines disappear. How I can have a permanent custom line separator?

  • How do you leave comments/like a specific page of a Facebook Canvas app?

    - by Sebastian
    I'm building a tabbed Facebook Canvas app that requires individual images to be "Like"d and commented on. Since each image is loaded up as its own page, in this style: http://apps.facebook.com/appname/image/333/ (which translates to: www.mydomain.com/image/333/) I was hoping I could just get a UID for each "image" page and then comment/like based off that. If that's possible, how exactly do I get the id for dynamically generated pages? Or any page for that matter? Thanks in advance.

  • iPhone transparent images rendering poorly

    - by alku83
    I'm developing an iPad application. I have been provided with a PNG image that contains some transparency - basically a drop shadow. The problem I'm having is that this is rendering poorly within the application, both on the device and in the sim. I can't provide the whole image but I've made up some samples to illustrate. The first is how the image appears in the PSD (correctly that is). The second is how it appears on the device. You can see that the strip of shadow in the middle of the image is distinctly more yellow and poorly looking. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

  • Ubuntu 12.10 installation. Hit or miss Booting

    - by Robert
    I just recently downloaded and installed Ubuntu 12.10. I also completely wiped the laptop. The Ubuntu OS will only boot part of the time but never on the first time. Always, the first start up will automatically go to a purple screen and stay there. At first I waited for 45 minutes and nothing changed. Once I held down the power button to turn it off, I turned it back on to see the Asus screen followed by the grub menu. I can select "Ubuntu" and then there is a white box blinking in the top left corner. Then, it will either keep blinking or transfer to the Ubuntu loading screen(everything works fine if it gets to the loading screen). This has never happened before with prior versions of Ubuntu. Any ideas are helpful. Thanks!

  • Resize with minimal loss of quality

    - by oidfrosty
    Hi, I need to resize an image, but the image quality cannot be affected by this, the images will be from like 10x10 to 1000x1000, it will have some major congestions and some empty times it has to scale both up and down "potentially losing some image quality." is OK but it has to be at minimum, everything with raster graphics indeed NO libraries or other external binaries please

  • Fading transition slideshow

    - by Simon Carlson
    I've got a JavaScript that produces a slideshow. It loads the pictures before starting the actual slideshow. Code below. var image1=new Image() image1.src="filename1.jpg" var image2=new Image() image2.src="filename2.jpg" var image3=new Image() image3.src="filename3.jpg" var step=1 function slideit(){ if (!document.images) return document.images.slide.src=eval("image"+step+".src") if (step<3) step++ else step=1 setTimeout("slideit()",1000) } And this is the required HTML for it to work: <img src="filename1.jpg" name="slide" /> Now, if I want to have fading transitions instead of just having new pictures popping up, how do I approach this? By fading I mean either have the old picture fade out, the new fade in or possibly and most likely both fade in/out. Can this be achieved with pure JavaScript and no jQuery or Ajax?

  • PHP problem with getimagesize()

    - by RobHardgood
    I'm using the getimagesize() function in PHP and it keeps returning an error: getimagesize(image.php?name=username&pic=picture) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory I'm not doing anything strange with it. The only problem I can imagine is that the path URL is another PHP script that returns a page with an image header, and there is an ampersand in that URL. Here is my code: $location = "image.php?name=username&pic=picture"; $size = getimagesize($location);

  • Distance between hyperplanes

    - by michael dillard
    I'm trying to teach myself some machine learning, and have been using the MNIST database (http://yann.lecun.com/exdb/mnist/) do so. The author of that site wrote a paper in '98 on all different kinds of handwriting recognition techniques, available at http://yann.lecun.com/exdb/publis/pdf/lecun-98.pdf. The 10th method mentioned is a "Tangent Distance Classifier". The idea being that if you place each image in a (NxM)-dimensional vector space, you can compute the distance between two images as the distance between the hyperplanes formed by each where the hyperplane is given by taking the point, and rotating the image, rescaling the image, translating the image, etc. I can't figure out enough to fill in the missing details. I understand that most of these are indeed linear operators, so how does one use that fact to then create the hyperplane? And once we have a hyperplane, how do we take its distance with other hyperplanes?

  • Android - Take a photo, save it in app drawables and display it in an ImageButton

    - by Andres7X
    I have an Android app with an ImageButton. When user clicks on it, intent launches to show camera activity. When user capture the image, I'd like to save it in drawable folder of the app and display it in the same ImageButton clicked by the user, replacing the previous drawable image. I used the activity posted here: Capture Image from Camera and Display in Activity ...but when I capture an image, activity doesn't return to activity which contains ImageButton. Edit code is: public void manage_shop() { static final int CAMERA_REQUEST = 1888; [...] ImageView photo = (ImageView)findViewById(R.id.getimg); photo.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View v) { Intent camera = new Intent(android.provider.MediaStore.ACTION_IMAGE_CAPTURE); startActivityForResult(camera, CAMERA_REQUEST); } }); [...] } And onActivityResult(): protected void onActivityResult(int requestCode, int resultCode, Intent data) { ImageButton getimage = (ImageButton)findViewById(R.id.getimg); if (requestCode == CAMERA_REQUEST && resultCode == RESULT_OK) { Bitmap getphoto = (Bitmap) data.getExtras().get("data"); getimage.setImageBitmap(getphoto); } } How can I also store the captured image in drawable folder?

  • Paperclip: Stay put on edit

    - by EricR
    When a user edits something in my application, they're forced to re-upload their image via paperclip even if they aren't changing it. Failing to do so will cause an error, since I validate_presence_of :image. This is quite annoying. How can I make it so Paperclip won't update its attributes if a user simply doesn't supply a new image on an edit? The photo controller is fresh out of Rails' scaffold generator. The rest of the source code is provided below. models/accommodation.rb class Accommodation < ActiveRecord::Base attr_accessible :photo validates_presence_of :photo has_one :photo has_many :notifications belongs_to :user accepts_nested_attributes_for :photo, :allow_destroy => true end controllers/accommodation_controller.rb class AccommodationsController < ApplicationController def index @accommodations = Accommodation.all end def show @accommodation = Accommodation.find(params[:id]) rescue ActiveRecord::RecordNotFound flash[:error] = "Accommodation not found." redirect_to :home end def new @accommodation = current_user.accommodations.build @accommodation.build_photo end def create @accommodation = current_user.accommodations.build(params[:accommodation]) if @accommodation.save flash[:notice] = "Successfully created your accommodation." redirect_to @accommodation else @accommodation.build_photo render :new end end def edit @accommodation = Accommodation.find(params[:id]) @accommodation.build_photo rescue ActiveRecord::RecordNotFound flash[:error] = "Accommodation not found." redirect_to :home end def update @accommodation = Accommodation.find(params[:id]) if @accommodation.update_attributes(params[:accommodation]) flash[:notice] = "Successfully updated accommodation." redirect_to @accommodation else @accommodation.build_photo render :edit end end def destroy @accommodation = Accommodation.find(params[:id]) @accommodation.destroy flash[:notice] = "Successfully destroyed accommodation." redirect_to :inkeep end end models/photo.rb class Photo < ActiveRecord::Base attr_accessible :image, :primary belongs_to :accommodation has_attached_file :image, :styles => { :thumb=> "100x100#", :small => "150x150>" } end

  • Error after installing Ubuntu 12.04 using Wubi

    - by KJ50
    After using Windows Ubuntu Installer from within Windows, I am prompted to restart, so I follow the directions. When I try to start Ubuntu after restarting, the desktop background appears, but then a loading bar with this title appears. Verifying the installation configuration... While this is loading, an error window pops up that says No root file system is defined Please correct this from the partitioning menu There is only an 'Ok' button available to click, and if I click that the same error window appears. I do not know how to get to the "partitioning menu" from this state, so the only option I have is to shut down my computer. What can I do so that Ubuntu finds a "root file system"? Can I diagnose this problem via Windows? Does anyone have any insight? FYI - I am using a new ultrabook with 6GB RAM, Intel i7 3rd gen processor, and no CD/DVD drive.

  • Force Response to Download File(s) to Desktop with Ruby?

    - by viatropos
    I was thinking about making a little crop/resize batch processor online, and wanted to know if there was a way for me to do the following: upload image and specify dimensions click "process" and remote app resizes image image downloads automatically locally to wherever it was I uploaded it (say from my desktop), but with a new name (based on the time for example). This would make it so I could host a free image processor that never stored any data other than tempfiles. Is that possible? Something like Rails' send_file method, but I'm using Sinatra and am looking for something in pure ruby. What's the basic concept behind this? What if I wanted to do this for multiple files? Åssuming I can get multiple files uploaded no problem, how can I download all of them automatically?

  • Ria Services - Delay load images (or any heavy binary data)

    - by vidalsasoon
    I have an RIA Service that returns image data (Byte[]) and caption of image (String) from SQL Server. The data part can sometimes be a few MB's so it can take quite a while to load. I would like to load the bytes independently of the caption (which loads very fast). Is there a way to do this without having to create a second image context?
