  • Compute hash of class code at runtime (C#)?

    Is it possible to compute the hash of a class at runtime in C# (presumably through reflection)? To be clear, I don't want to compute the hashcode of an instance of said class, I want to compute the hash of the class code itself (if a function in the class changes, I'd expect a different hash code to be computed). Ideally this would only be sensitive to changes in the object code (and not just a hash of the string representation of the code itself). Thanks in advance for your help, -- Breck

  • Why do I have to log into hotmail twice?

    I just recently noticed I have to attempt a login into hotmail twice before it succeeds. Although I'm using Google Chrome (3.0.195.21), the symptoms are well described in a Mozilla thread. In short, I'm told: The e-mail address or password is incorrect. Please try again. The thread on mozilla's site that supposed to describe the latest details (and the 1st hit on google when I search for "hotmail login twice") requires an account to read so I'm hoping someone here has a good synopsis of what the cause is. I normally start at hotmail.com, which redirects to login.live.com/.... I can login by starting at mail.live.com, using IE8 or attempting a 2nd login. Oddly, if I start at login.live.com Chrome tells me there is a redirect loop. Does anyone know or have a public link to the root cause of the double login? (it is a hotmail account I'm login into) EDIT - Caused by my 'restricting how 3rd parties can use cookies'. If I allow all cookies, it works first time.

  • Geolocation and jQuery - Can't post results using ajax

    I'm currently working on a project to make a location-aware site. In essence, the user comes to the page, and their location is found using the HTML5 method and then using jQuery, the location is posted to a page which saves the location/address to a codeigniter session, but if they want to update their location, or change to a different location(IE they want to use their work address as the location instead of their present address), theres a jQuery colorbox that displays and lets them type in a custom address. Everything works flawlessly to get the initial location, but when I try and get the updated location saved, I receive the error "Uncaught TypeError: Object [object DOMWindow] has no method 'lat'" which then Google Chrome references as being an error not in jQuery, but in the file for Google Maps API. For one of the fields, i have a input helper that displays a google map location which I can use to pick out a location which is stored in comma separated variable.   • Disable CTRL+mouse wheel zooming in Chrome?

    I'm a normal-sighted person and I would like to view pages at 100% all the time. I use keyboard shortcuts that involve CTRL a lot, so about twenty times a day I accidentally hit CTRL at the same time that I'm scrolling, which results in the page being reflowed and repainted. This in is annoying because it can take up to 30 seconds to fix the issue, depending on how complex the site layout is. On sites with dynamic layout such as Google Docs the problem is more serious; accidentally hitting CTRL+mouse wheel corrupts the display and forces me to refresh the page entirely, sometimes causing me to loose information in the process. I would like to either decouple CTRL+mouse wheel from zoom, or disable zoom functionality altogether. This is possible on Firefox by using about:config; is there a similar way to edit detailed settings in Chrome? Would I have access to the detailed settings if I used Chromium instead of Chrome? I'll probably jump ship back to Firefox if I can't solve this problem. There is a superuser question that asks basically the same thing I'm asking, but for Firefox and Internet Explorer exclusively. Other people on the Chrome forum have had related issues, but none have the same problem. "I would really like it if I could deactivate the auto zoom in/out." had "something with laptops and Windows 7", not the feature built into Chrome. Other people have had PDF specific issues, which doesn't concern me. I've also tried searching for extensions that allow you to disable the scroll; I had hoped that "Zoom Lock" would have the ability to lock the zoom at 100% and prevent CTRL+scroll wheel from distorting the display, but it doesn't work for my use case.   • View dynamic code in Visual Studio

    I generate a dynamic assembly with CSharpCodeProvider, from a C# source saved into a string. I can run the synamic code at runtime, but if I pause the execution Visual Studio doesn't show me the dinamic source code in the call stack. It says "External code" and I can't step into that source code. I think VS can't find PDB or other debug info. Can you help me?

  • QMail do not delivery to remote mailboxes for my own domain

    Sorry for the title, I don't know how to sum up this situation. I have a web server at mydomain.com, running qmail for website related mail delivery (i.e. newsletter, sign up confirmation, etc). qmail here is used only to send mails, because I have a fully working Google App Gmail associated with mydomain.com for normal email receiving. qmail runs fine when sending email to remote addresses, for example to [email protected], but fails when sending to [email protected]. I think it's because the server thinks that he have to manage mailboxes for mydomain.com locally, instead of redirect them to Gmail.   • How to select all text inside text area of code field on web pages

When the download links are in large numbers then there are scroll bars. I find it difficult to scroll up and then select and then drag down to select all links. Is there any way to select all , when I click on select all on right click then it usually selects the text from whole page not from that code segment

    I almost like Picasa, but there are two issues that irk me and I wondered if anyone knew of an application that does what Picasa does but without the following problems: Network drives. Picasa is hopeless with network drives. Ideally, I'd like photos to be stored remotely and thumbnail databases to be stored locally with a client-server set-up to update client databases. The main aim is to get updates propagated to clients efficently, reduce network bandwidth and have quick browsing on the client. It needs to be snappy when used over a wireless network. This is just a minor point but the folder view looks awful, especially when it uses those tiny thumbnails. (Also, what is it with folders being drawn vertically. Having spent years looking at folders orientated horizontally, turning them on their side looks so wrong.)

    I use the GMall 'Call phone' feature a lot, and the numeric keyboard pad works great for entering conference codes, but most conference call services want you "Enter your conference code followed by the 'hash' or 'pound' sign. So I end up typing the 10 digit conference code using the keyboard but then I have to use my mouse to push the # or hash sign. Is their a way to push the # with the keyboard?
