I want to create a hgrc file to set the username and password for all paths on some machine, e.g no matter in which directory I am in, hg clone some_path will always work without prompting for a username and a password (this is for an auto-deploy script).
I followed the instructions and created a file: /etc/mercurial/hgrc.d/deploy.rc
it's contents:
[auth]
default.prefix= http://myrepo
default.username = myuname
default.password = pwd
But when I do
hg clone some_path I get abort: error: Connection refused.
What Am i doing wrong?
I have an application on my server that is called leaf.exe, that haves two arguments needed to run, they are: inputfile and outputfile, that will be like this example:
pnote.exe input.pnt output.txt
The executable is at exec/, inputfile is at upload/ and outputfile is on compiled/. But I need that a PHP could run the application like that, then I want to know:
How could I do this on a server that have exec() disabled and I can't turn it on, because I don't have privileges to do it?
How could I echo the output of the program?
I am trying to build a python script that will take in an XML document and remove all of the comment blocks from it.
I tried something along the lines of:
tree = ElementTree()
tree.parse(file)
commentElements = tree.findall('//comment()')
for element in commentElements:
element.parentNode.remove(element)
Doing this yields a weird error from python: "KeyError: '()'
I know there are ways to easily edit the file using other methods ( like sed ), but I have to do it in a python script.
I am writing a servlet which will examine a directory on the server (external to the web container), and recursively search for certain files (by certain files, I mean files that are of a certain extension as well as a certain naming convention). Once these files are found, the servlet responds with a long list of all of the found files (including the full path to the files). My problem is that there are so many files and directories that my servlet goes extremely slow. I was wondering if there was a best practice or existing servlet for this type of problem? Would it be more efficient to simply compile the entire list of files and do the filtering via js/jquery on the client side?

Hi Guys,
I want to call a php file from javascript/AJAX code.This php file process some data, now i want to display this processed data as a output through javascript code.
Thanx in Advance!!!
I'm making a very simple content-management system in Javascript. It uses plugins which are individual .js files which live in a "modules" folder. Currently I'm loading them with JQuery's getScript() function, but I have to manually define the list of available modules.
Is there any way to dynamically load the list of Javascript files so that the user can install additional modules by simply dropping them into the "modules" folder?
Hi,
During my file upload process, I found illegal character getting saved in Table. zurück.pdf, C _Word.doc were the file names. Here ü, space between C and _Word was found as ? in the Table Column. I have validate the filename in client side by replacing non-alpha numeric values by _ (underscore), but still it escapes and persist into DB. How can these handled in Client side?

So I need to load a file from disk somehow, and access its contents.. Sort of like how
<link rel="stylesheet">
works. Is there a way to do this? XHR requires a web server.. and using something like the above doesn't let me access the contents of the file..
I'm reading about Red Gate SQL Backup, and I liked the concept of creating a database backup compressed and writing on disk the compressed backup directly without an intermediate SQL Server native backup.
And I'm wondering how this type of software make backups. It accesses the database files directly? It uses some sort of SQL Server or Windows API? Windows Shadow Copy?
I want to get the file from one host to another host. We can get the file using the NET::FTP module. In that module we can use the get method to get the file. But I want the file contents instead of the file. I know that using the read method we can read the file contents. But how do I call the read function and how do I get the file contents?
How can I load a pre-existing .txt file as a .rtf file in my C# code if
I want to display it on a richTextBox? I am running Visual Studios Windows
Application.
Thank you very much.
I'm trying to download the contents of a web page using PHP.
When I issue the command:
$f = file_get_contents("http://mobile.mybustracker.co.uk/mobile.php?searchMode=2");
It returns a page that reports that the server is down. Yet when I paste the same URL into my browser I get the expected page.
Does anyone have any idea what's causing this? Does file_get_contents transmit any headers that differentiate it from a browser request?
How can I change the icon of a .JAR file I want to distribute? I have changed the icon that shows when the program is run, but I want to change the icon in the environment (e.g. Windows XP), that is for the file itself. I googled, but the best I could find is converting the .JAR to a .EXE, which is not the best choice.
on my rails(2.3.5) app(currently 50-70rpm, maximum response time around 0.7s), uploading even 700k file(using paperclip plugin) locks up the server for web requests for everyone for 2 minutes! (other apps on same server work normally)
does anyone have a clue why that might be happening? i am using some mysql transactions which lock the database also if that might be an issue
i read http://www.therailsway.com/2009/4/23/uploading-files
but it couldn't be locking server for 2 minutes for a small file, could it?!
I have lost all file/folder security permissions of a SBS 2003 installation and was wondering is there some command I can run to restore system file/folder permissions to there default values.
I lost the permissions when I had boot error and had to restore the primary boot sector from backup primary boot sector and had to tun fixboot to get the system booting again.
Many Thanks

Hello,
Im tring to create a manifest for my own.dll, i took the manifest file from C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\Manifests for example. In that, below tag was one of the line.<file name="msvcr90.dll" hashalg="SHA1" hash="e0dcdcbfcb452747da530fae6b000d47c8674671">
In above tag, hash value was assigned with 40 character.
Here comes my doubt,
1) hash value was auto generated, if not, whats it points to?
