    I want to write data at a specified value in a text file from a text box. Here is a example: item_begin etcitem 3344 item_type=etcitem is first line and item_begin weapon 3343 item_type=weapon is second. Well i want to replace item_type=weapon at second line with item_type=armor. Here is code so far: var data2 = File.WriteAllLines("itemdata.txt") .Where(x => x.Contains("3343")) .Take(1) .SelectMany(x => x.Split('\t')) .Select(x => x.Split('=')) .Where(x => x.Length > 1) .ToDictionary(x => x[0].Trim(), x => x[1]); But returns error at WriteAllLines.     I want to use file_get_contents to implement a proxy so I can do ajax cross domain requests. Querystring will be used to supply the URL to file_get_contents. Now the problem is people can muck around with the qurystring in order to read local files on the server. I dont wnat this. Can someone get me a function to sinitize the querystring in order only to accept urls and not local files: ie: ?url=http://google.com.au - OK ?url=./passwords.txt - Not OK

If I actually give the entire path in C# then I am able to retrieve the XML values, but if I give the project path then it is not getting the values. For example: string fileNamePath=ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["XMLDocPath"].ToString() + fileName; m_xmld.Load(fileNamePath); It is throwing a runtime error.

  • How to copy files without slowing down my app?

    I have a bunch of little files in my assets which need to be copied to the SD-card on the first start of my App. The copy code i got from here placed in an IntentService works like a charm. However, when I start to copy many litte files, the whole app gets increddible slow (I'm not really sure why by the way), which is a really bad experience for the user on first start. As I realised other apps running normal in that time, I tried to start a child process for the service, which didn't work, as I can't acess my assets from another process as far as I understood. Has anybody out there an idea how a) to copy the files without blocking my app b) to get through to my assets from a private process (process=":myOtherProcess" in Manifest) or c) solve the problem in a complete different way Edit: To make this clearer: The copying allready takes place in a seperate thread (started automaticaly by IntentService). The problem is not to separate the task of copying but that the copying in a dedicated thread somehow affects the rest of the app (e.g. blocking to many app-specific resources?) but not other apps (so it's not blocking the whole CPU or someting) Edit2: Problem solved, it turns out, there wasn't really a problem. See my answer below.

  • CodeIgniter - Image Validation & Thumbnailing

    I'm currently trying to create a function that validates and creates thumbnails for images on upload - but I'm quite lost on what I'm doing. I'm assuming I'm off on my terminology so I'm not really getting any search results to help point me in the right direction. My playground is a form with 6 upload fields that are required. One of these fields is for a simple 32x32 icon image, another a portrait orientation (most likely) photo, and then 4 standard desktop screenshots -- and I'm using CodeIgniter as my framework. I would like to create a function that validates/thumbnails images, and only have to call it on the validation if at all possible. I know I can achieve this per-image, since the documentation for CI is quite through on this - but to reduce redundancy I'm looking for the better option. Outside of that, I don't even actually understand in full how to manipulate images unless it's just $this-input-post('field') - then calling all functions onto this? I don't know, I'm confused and posting on the actual CI forums has yielded me nothing - so all I'm really looking for is a point in the right direction to understanding what I'm trying to achieve here. This also all might not make any sense, I know it doesn't to me - but I can explain more if needed. Thanks in advance.

    I get this exception when I want to open a keystore java.io.FileNotFoundException: \resources\keystore (The system cannot find the path specified) Basically my application is like src/ client.java server.java resources/ keystore truststore And the faulty code : System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStore","/resources/keystore"); System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.keyStorePassword", "ebanking"); I also tried ./resources/keystore, resources/keystore, \\resources\\keystore etc.. My application is supposed to work in an executable jar so no absolute path technique please.
