    I had been using Netbeans all the while to develop Swing application. So far, I am a Happy Netbeans User Currently, I had a project (GWT, J2EE and Swing), which I need to use Eclipse (Please do not ask Why) Here is the step I had been taken. Download Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers (190 MB) from http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/ I thought this should be the correct choice, as I see most features are found in that edition http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/compare-packages After struggling a while to get use to the user interface of Eclipse, I still cannot find a Visual GUI Editor! After doing some Googling, I realize I need to install something called Plugins However, tones of plugins which had similar features has confused me, as I found http://www.cloudgarden.com/jigloo/index.html http://www.eclipse.org/vep/WebContent/main.php http://code.google.com/p/visualswing4eclipse/ This makes me even more confuse?   • Codeigniter redirect repeats controller name in URL

    This is my controller: class Timesheet extends Controller { ... function index() { //loads view with a form that submits to "timesheet/change_date" } function summary() { //loads view with a form that submits to "timesheet/change_week" } function change_date() { ... redirect('timesheet'); } function change_week() { ... redirect('timesheet/summary'); } ... } The first form is located at http://localhost/dts/index.php/timesheet and when I submit the change_date form, it correctly goes thru the change_date() function and re-loads http://localhost/dts/index.php/timesheet correctly. However, the second form is located at http://localhost/dts/index.php/timesheet/summary, and when I submit the change-week form, it goes thru the change_week() function but goes to http://localhost/dts/index.php/timesheet/timesheet/change_week. Notice the word timesheet is repeated. When I submit the form again, another timesheet is added. What's wrong and how do I improve my code?   • Checking if language is set in url with regex

    I have am working on a multi language file. My urls look something like this: http://www.mydomain.com/en/about/info http://www.mydomain.com/nl/about/info Now I use a small regex script that redirect the user when they use a link without language. The script looks like this: preg_match('~^/[a-z]{2}/~', $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] This finds out is there is a language set en|nl|de etc. This works fine on all links except for these: http://www.mydomain.com/en http://www.mydomain.com/nl There is no trailing slash so the regex can not find the given values. Anyone know a fix for this?

  • Double encoded url being fully decoded in ASP.NET

    I have just come across something that is quite strange and yet I haven't found any mention on the interwebs of others having the same problem. If I hit my ASP.NET application with a double encoded url then the Request["myQueryParam"] will do a double decode of the query for me. This is not desirable as I have double encoded my query string for a good reason. Can others confirm I'm not doing something obviously wrong, and why this would happen. A solution to prevent it, without doing some nasty query string parsing, would be great too! As an example if you hit the url: http://localhost/MyApp?originalUrl=http%3a%2f%2flocalhost%2fAction%2fRedirect%3fUrl%3d%252fsomeUrl%253futm_medium%253dabc%2526utm_source%253dabc%2526utm_campaign%253dabc (For reference %25 is the % symbol) Then look at the Request["originalUrl"] (page or controller) the string returned is: http://localhost/Action/Redirect?Url=/someUrl?utm_medium=abc&utm_source=abc&utm_campaign=abc I would expect: http://localhost/Action/Redirect?Url=%2fsomeUrl%3futm_medium%3dabc%26utm_source%3dabc%26utm_campaign%3dabc I have also checked in Fiddler and the URL is being passed to the server correctly (one possible culprit could have been the browser decoding the URL before sending).

  • Handling Character Encoding in URI on Tomcat

    On the web site I am trying to help with, user can type in an URL in the browser, like following Chinese characters, http://localhost:8080?a=?? On server, we get GET /a=%E6%B5%8B%E8%AF%95 HTTP/1.1 As you can see, it's UTF-8 encoded, then URL encoded. We can handle this correctly by setting encoding to UTF-8 in Tomcat. However, sometimes we get Latin1 encoding on certain browsers, http://localhost:8080?a=ß turns into GET /a=%DF HTTP/1.1 Is there anyway to handle this correctly in Tomcat? Looks like the server has to do some intelligent guessing. We don't expect to handle the Latin1 correctly 100% but anything is better than what we are doing now by assuming everything is UTF-8. The server is Tomcat 5.5. The supported browsers are IE 6+, Firefox 2+ and Safari on iPhone.

My question is: Is it possible to secure this tile so that a user needs to be logged in before the data loads? Since that time, when UserResolver.Current executed (after Login), HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.IsAuthenticated was false and I couldn't get the user data. When I removed the Warehouse[] from user structure, it starts to be ok again and HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.IsAuthenticated become true after I Login. What is the reason to this weird behaviour?

    I have this method that receives an ID number and downloads an HTML website according to that ID. Typically, an IMDB link is like this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0892791/ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1226229/ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0000429/ They all follow the 'tt' then 7 digits, with lack of digits turning into zeroes to fill out the left spaces. How can I accomplish this using C#? I'm kind of stumped.     I'm sending off 2 requests simultaneously with Restkit and I receive a response back from both of them, but only one of the requests receives any objects. If I send them off one by one, then my objectloader receives all objects.   • Empty namespace using Linq Xml

    I'm trying to create a sitemap using Linq to Xml, but am getting an empty namespace attribute, which I would like to get rid of. e.g. XNamespace ns = "http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9"; XDocument xdoc = new XDocument(new XDeclaration("1.0", "utf-8", "true"), new XElement(ns + "urlset", new XElement("url", new XElement("loc", "http://www.example.com/page"), new XElement("lastmod", "2008-09-14")))); The result is ... <urlset xmlns="http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9"> <url xmlns=""> <loc>http://www.example.com/page</loc> <lastmod>2008-09-14</lastmod> </url> </urlset> I would rather not have the xmlns="" on the url element. I can strip it out using Replace on the final xdoc.ToString(), but is there a more correct way?

    Hi guys, I want to read XML data using XPath in Java, so for the information I have gathered I am not able to parse XML according to my requirement. here is what I want to do: Get XML file from online via its URL, then use XPath to parse it, I want to create two methods in it. One is in which I enter a specific node attribute id, and I get all the child nodes as result, and second is suppose I just want to get a specific child node value only <?xml version="1.0"?><howto> <topic name="Java"> <url>http://www.rgagnonjavahowto.htm</url> <car>taxi</car> </topic> <topic ame="PowerBuilder"> <url>http://www.rgagnon/pbhowto.htm</url> <url>http://www.rgagnon/pbhowtonew.htm</url> </topic> <topic name="Javascript"> <url>http://www.rgagnon/jshowto.htm</url> </topic> <topic name="VBScript"> <url>http://www.rgagnon/vbshowto.htm</url> </topic></howto> In above example I want to read all the elements if I search via @name and also one function in which I just want the url from @name 'Javascript' only return one node element.
