I need to render SVG files to other file formats (.png, for example.) What's a good application for performing that render or conversion?
Specifically, I need an application that runs on Windows.
I'd welcome suggestions for other platforms, as well.
I have an FTP connection active through the Map Network Drive option in Windows 7 64-bit.
When navigating the remote directory, I see no way to edit files. Windows is completely ignoring file-type associations and "opens" everything with my default browser.
Is there any way that I can simply edit these files?
I'm open to suggestions of other software as well, but from what I can see, NetDrive doesn't work with 64-bit.
I am using the follwing to auto login and then run file containng a command.
C:\path\to\putty.exe -load "[Sessionname]" -l [user] -pw [password] -m C:\path\to\commands.txt
Commands.txt contains the following command
ps -elf|grep 'sometext'
but when I try to do so a new window for putty comes and exits instantly after login. I cannot see the output of command in commands.txt
What is the problem;. Is there error in my approach or I need some more command to make the putty window pause for sometime before exiting.
I followed the steps here to set up Sharepoint integration with reporting services (SSRS) using native mode. (i.e., get a report explorer and viewer web parts)
However after adding the cabinet file e.g.,
STSADM.EXE -o addwppack -filename "C:\ Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Reporting Services\SharePoint\RSWebParts.cab" -globalinstall
I still don't see report explorer in the web parts list. I'm very stuck and confused :-(
I have a scheduled backup that backs up the shared files and system state. It is set to run as "normal" mode. However, when it runs it only makes a 2K size file when it should be like 60GB.What rookie mistake am I making?
I recently downloaded a piece of software that came in a .ZIP archive, but the .EXE software inside of the archive had a password on it. The website that I would have gotten the password from closed a while ago.
Because the executable is password protected it cannot be extracted.
I'm on Windows 7 Home Premium, and I use winrar for my archives.
So, I guess my question is is it possible to crack a password for a file within an archive without extracting it?
Varnish Security main.vcl contains
# clear all internal variables
include "/etc/varnish/security/build/variables.vcl";
and
# fallthrough: clear all internal variables on security.vcl_recv exit
include "/etc/varnish/security/build/variables.vcl";
but /etc/varnish/security/build/variables.vcl is not included into the git.
I commented it out, and it is working fine but where can I get that file?
I have a serious bad situation: I have an Excel file that is password protected and I need to access the information asap for a deadline for a project. Are there any good Excel password recovery tools available for Ubuntu that I could use to achieve this task?
Hello guys,
can somebody tell me how to pipe the output of the serial port to a file in Windows?
In Linux the command would be:
cat /dev/ttyS0 > /opt/logs/Serial.log
Thanks in advance
Is there any single application that convert all the following video file formats (3g2, 3gp, 3gp2, 3gpp, 3p, asf, avi, divx, dv, dvx, flv, gif, moov, mov, mp4, mpeg4, mpg4, mpe, mpeg, mpg, qt, wmv, xvid) to Flv?
Without booting to Linux, how do you delete a directory that was created in Linux on an NTFS partition that contains a pipe in the file name?
For example:
f:\flac\foreign\Yoshida_Brothers\Best_of_Yoshida_Brothers_|_Tsugaru_Shamisen
Tried and failed:
Midnight Commander
Recursively deleting the parent folder
del /f /s /q Yoshida_Brothers
del /f /s /q "\\?f:\flac\foreign\Yoshida_Brothers\
rmdir /s Yoshida_Brothers
FileASSASSIN

Our internal website links to Excel files on a network-mapped drive. The links specify the filename and worksheet to open, in the following format (path and link information omitted):
ExcelFileName#'SheetName'!$A$1
This works fine with Excel 2003, but we're moving to Excel 2007, which won't even open the file if that extra information is present.
I haven't been able to find a definitive answer on whether this feature has been removed (or the syntax changed) in 2007. Any help will be highly appreciated!
Working on Vista & Window 7, I use Winamp 5.57 for listening to mp3 and VLC player for watching movies. I made those two as my default players for corresponding media respectively. But when I launch winamp for playing mp3, some of the video files( like .flv, etc.,) automatically get changed the file opening mode to winamp player. This happens every time even if I set it back to 'default program'. Can someone please help me out.
I've mapped my domain users to a remote share, and I'm trying to get rid of the security warning that appears whenever a file is run from the remote share.
I've tried adding the FQDN to the intranet list with no prevail and I'm starting to go crazy. I've also turned off IE Enhanced Security Configuration for both Admins and Users.
The group policies are being applied, and I can see the FQDN in the intranet list in internet options.

By Googling I got few solution. One of them is added HEROKU_SSL_VERIFY=disable to .bashrc. Unfortunately, I am not able to edit that file, gives an error of

Is there a simple way to export the current selected layer as a png/jpg file in Gimp 2.8.4 ?
I did some searching in google, and the export should do it in gimp 2.6 if the layer is the only visible layer, but I can't get that to work for gimp 2.8
The way I currently do it now is that I select the content, and cut/paste it to a new image, then export the image and close it, but a simple export selected layer would be much more easy to use.
I have a zip file here, and i want to determine how it was compressed (the specific algorithm, properties used to apply that algorithm, etc.). What software can do this for me?
For some reason file copies are taking too long to/from my Dell Inspiron 530. It is possible that the performance deteriorated after upgrading to Windows 7.
I'm trying to add a linked server to an Excel 2010 file from SQL Server 2012. Every reference I've found online for doing this is using older versions of SQL Server, and the driver that they tell you to use 'Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0', is not present in 2012 from what I can tell.
Can anyone tell me which provider I need to use and what the product name, data source, and provider string should be?
For reference, this is the screen I'm looking at:
Thanks.
I have a task to write a bash script showing permissions to biggest and smallest file in catalog. How I could obtain that ?
I've tried ls -s but it shows me all files sorted by the size.
I feel that it's going to be very difficult for a virus to infect an ISO file. What's your experience? Have you seen it happening ever? Is it not nearly unlikely?
I ask because I've just found that my computer is infected and I wish to salvage as much stuff as possible. So I was wondering if I could keep my ISO files.
