• juju bootstrap fails with a local environment, why?

Is there a system catalog table which holds the logged in users? I see a SYSUSERS.DAT file but when I queried it, it didnt show my login id, date or time.

• non-static variable cannot be referenced from a static context (java)

  I ask that you ignore all logic.. i was taught poorly at first and so i still dont understand everything about static crap and its killing me. My error is with every single variable that i declare then try to use later inside my methods... i get the non-static variable cannot~~ error I can simply put all the rough coding of my methods inside my cases, and it works but then i cannot use recursion...   I get this error when compiling a C# application. Looks like a trivial error, but I can't get around it. My setup is Windows 7 64 bit. Visual-Studio 2010 C# express B2Rel. I added a reference to System.Web.dll located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Reference Assemblies\Microsoft\Framework\.NETFramework\v4.0, but it has a yellow exclamation symbol and I still get the above error. I also have the using System.Web declaration. What am I doing wrong? Update: After getting the prompt answer pointing me at the root cause, I searched a bit in Google to where it states that System.Web.dll is for the full framework. I did not find such a reference. For newbies like me, this blog summarizes the difference between the frameworks (client and full) nicely. I could not find a spot that says whether a certain Dll is supported in the client framework or not. I guess the exclamation mark in Visual Studio should be the first signal...

• Core Data performance deleteObject and save managed object context

  I am trying to figure out the best way to bulk delete objects inside of my Core Data database. I have some objects with a parent/child relationship. At times I need to "refresh" the parent object by clearing out all of the existing children objects and adding new ones to Core Data. The 'delete all' portion of this operation is where I am running into trouble. I accomplish this by looping through the children and calling deleteObject for each one. I have noticed that after the NSManagedObjectContext:Save call following all of the deleteObject calls is very slow when I am deleting 15,000 objects. How can I speed up this call? Are there things happening during the save operation that I can be aware of and avoid by setting parameters different or setting up my model another way? I've noticed that memory spikes during this operation as well. I really just want to "delete * from". Thanks.

I would prefer to avoid writing my own if a decent implementation already exists - while the API doesn't look to complicated, I'd rather not re-invent the wheel (so to speak).   Hello, I am trying to write a simple internal app with some simple authentication. I'm also trying to make this quick and learn about the forms authentication via web.config. So i have my authentication working if I hard code my 'user name' and 'password' into C# code and do a simple conditional. However, I'm having a tough time storing the a user/pass to be checked against in the web.config file. • Android delivering different Cell IDs (Neighboring Cell Info)

  Hello. Using an Android Dev Phone 2, I'm using the GsmCellLocation.getCid() method to get the Cell ID on my network. When I run the command and get all the CellIDs for the NeighboringCellInfo I get this values: 597195726 597185722 597195718 597110191 597101100 597175726 I'm running this using the SDK 1.6. The problem is that when I run the Engineering Mode on a GSM modem that I have, running a command to obtain the Neighboring Cell IDs, I get this values: 34253 0 34223 34262 34181 0 What is the difference here? In what format is Android delivering the Cell IDs? I tried doing a "cell.getCid() & 0xffff" but now I'm getting the values: 21690 31686 37068 11695 11694 31694 Which are still different from the one that the GSM Modem is delivering with the Engineering Mode. Obviously I tried this on at the same time, same location. I'm trying to get the same Cell IDs that the external GSM modem I using is delivering Please provide any help Thanks in advance!

  I'm trying to set org.springframework.beans.factory.config.PropertyPlaceholderConfigurer spring bean, I have jdbc.properties in src/main/config .. when I put this file in src/main/resources and put classpath: in value my app deploys successfuly. This works when jdbc.properties is located in src/main/resources <property name="location" value="classpath:jdbc.properties" /> However I'm required to put any configuration inside src/main/config , how do I point springs towards this location in the right way?

  Hello everyone, I've got a relatively simple one here. I'm making bundles to live inside the Resources folder of my application (and possibly in the Application Support folder). These bundles will contain template information for the data the application handles. I've constructed a bundle, with extension "booksprintstyle", and the directory structure is up to spec. I have an Info.plist all set and I think I've filled in all the values I need to. Do I need to change something in my App to have these folders-with-extensions recognized as bundle files, or am I missing something in my bundle structure? I noticed that some bundles have a file called PkgInfo; is that important? • ORDER BY job failed in the Pig script while running EmbeddedPig using Java

  I have this following pig script, which works perfectly using grunt shell (stored the results to HDFS without any issues); however, the last job (ORDER BY) failed if I ran the same script using Java EmbeddedPig. If I replace the ORDER BY job by others, such as GROUP or FOREACH GENERATE, the whole script then succeeded in Java EmbeddedPig. So I think it's the ORDER BY which causes the issue. Anyone has any experience with this? Any help would be appreciated! • Problem in getting Contact Info

  Hi, I m working on application in which i have to send all contacts from Android mobile to other mobile through SMS. I don't have any problem in getting contact information but when I send those Contacts after few messages there is Alert Window pop up saying "A large number of message have being send" and ask if you want to send or not. I am testing this application on HTC Hero. Is this problem is for specific mobiles or for all? I don't know what should i do to avoid this window because I cant get SMS Sent event. Please help me with any ideas that i can implement........ Thanks

• good documentation about "avoid catching throwable", in context of weblogic server

  hi all, i am currently refactoring an existing codebase (EJBs...) to rip out all blocks where a Throwable is catched inside of the EJB. try { ... do some business logic } catch(Throwable t){ ... log and swallow ... :-( } i want/need to convince the people around me with proper documentation that "catching throwable" is a no-go for an EJB (we have lots of discussions around this :-(( ). weblogic will handle all the "Error" conditions and maybe invalidate EJBs and put fresh(working) EJBs into the pool. catching Throwable would undermine all these security nets provided by weblogic. and catching throwable is bad practice anyway (but people here are reluctant and use the "throwable" hammer everywhere). is anyone able to point me to some online docs where this behaviour is explained (for weblogic or jboss or...). i searched via google and had a look at the weblogic docs but wasn't able to find anything, just generic java doc. any help highly appreciated cheers marcel

S- ABa A- aab B- Ac I know the steps are as follows. 1) Remove epsilon transitions - Done 2) remove unit productions 3) convert to CNF by: 3.1] introduce a new non terminal for each term 3.2] replace terminals in the productions rules with the new nonterminal 3.3] introduce new nonterminals to reduce the length of the right side of each production i'm a bit confused on how i would do that with the problem above. Mostly i am confused on step 2 and unit productions. If i could get some help or perhaps a link to a good tutorial that would be most helpful.

• Debugging NSoperation BAD ACCESS within graphics context

  I tried everything to debug this one but I can't get to the bottom of it. This code lives in a subclass of NSOperation which is processed from a queue: (borders is an ivar NSArray containing 5 UIimage objects) NSMutableArray *images = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init]; for (unsigned i = 0; i < 5; i++) { CGSize size = CGSizeMake(60, 60); UIGraphicsBeginImageContext(size); CGPoint thumbPoint = CGPointMake(6, 6); [controller.image drawAtPoint:thumbPoint]; CGPoint borderPoint = CGPointMake(0, 0); [[borders objectAtIndex:i] drawAtPoint:borderPoint]; [images addObject:UIGraphicsGetImageFromCurrentImageContext()]; UIGraphicsEndImageContext(); } [images release]; The code works fine most of the time but when I push the iphone by access subviews and pressing lots of buttons on the UI I either get this exception which is trapped by the operation: Exception Load view: *** -[NSCFArray insertObject:atIndex:]: attempt to insert nil or I get this: Program received signal: “EXC_BAD_ACCESS”. The exception is caused because UIGraphicsGetImageFromCurrentImageContext() return nil. I don't know how to debug the EXC_BAD_ACCESS but I'm guessing that this error (in fact both of these errors) is caused by low memory. The debugger stops at the line: [controller.image drawAtPoint:thumbPoint]; As I mentioned I've trapped the exception so I can live with that but the EXC_BAD_ACCESS is more serious. IF this is memory related how can I tell and is it possible to increase the memory available to NSOperation?
