  • Ajax: strange behaviour while checking a textfield

    - by ilnur777
I have a registration form with checking the available name for username field through ajax. Inputing a username into username field and pushing the "Check!" button, the script sends value to php script. Then php script replaces the username field with the username field + style like this: <input type="text" name="login" value="'.$_GET["user"].'" style="width:205; height:22; border-width:1; border-color:red; border-style:solid; background-color:rgb(255,232,230);"> So when replacing the username field in the form with its equivalent from php script and then submitting a form, it is then get to script on the page that checks whether the username field is empty or not. And it returns an error that it is empty, though after checking through ajax the username field it has value. I don't understand why it gets to empty field checking script, having the same field name and having value?

  • Strange behavior: save video recorded within app?

    - by Josue Espinosa
I allow the user to record a video within my app, then later play it again. When a user records a video, I save the URL of the video, then play the video later from the saved URL. I save the video both in the Photos app and in my app. If I delete the video within the photos app, it still plays. After about 7 days, the video gets deleted. I think I am saving in my tmp directory, but i'm not sure. Here is what I am doing: -(void)imagePickerController:(UIImagePickerController *)picker didFinishPickingMediaWithInfo:(NSDictionary *)info { NSString *mediaType = [info objectForKey: UIImagePickerControllerMediaType]; [self dismissViewControllerAnimated:YES completion:nil]; // Handle a movie capture if (CFStringCompare ((__bridge_retained CFStringRef) mediaType, kUTTypeMovie, 0) == kCFCompareEqualTo) { NSString *moviePath = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@",[[info objectForKey:UIImagePickerControllerMediaURL] path]]; NSURL *videoURL = [info objectForKey:UIImagePickerControllerMediaURL]; NSData *videoData = [NSData dataWithContentsOfURL:videoURL]; _justRecordedVideoURL = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@",videoURL]; AppDelegate *appDelegate = [[UIApplication sharedApplication] delegate]; _managedObjectContext = [appDelegate managedObjectContext]; Video *video = [NSEntityDescription insertNewObjectForEntityForName:@"Video" inManagedObjectContext:_managedObjectContext]; [video setVideoData:videoData]; [video setVideoURL:[NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@",videoURL]]; NSDateFormatter *dateFormatter = [[NSDateFormatter alloc] init]; dateFormatter.dateStyle = NSDateFormatterLongStyle; [dateFormatter setDateStyle:NSDateFormatterLongStyle]; NSDate *date = [dateFormatter dateFromString:[dateFormatter stringFromDate:[NSDate date]]]; NSString *dateAdded = [dateFormatter stringFromDate:date]; [video setDate_recorded:dateAdded]; if(_currentAthlete != nil){ [video setWhosVideo:_currentAthlete]; } NSError *error = nil; if(![_managedObjectContext save:&error]){ //handle dat error } NSArray *paths = NSSearchPathForDirectoriesInDomains(NSDocumentDirectory, NSUserDomainMask, YES); NSString *documentsDirectory = [paths objectAtIndex:0]; NSString *tempPath = [documentsDirectory stringByAppendingFormat:@"/vid1.mp4"]; BOOL success = [videoData writeToFile:tempPath atomically:NO]; if(success == FALSE){ NSLog(@"Video was not successfully saved."); } if (UIVideoAtPathIsCompatibleWithSavedPhotosAlbum(moviePath)) { UISaveVideoAtPathToSavedPhotosAlbum(moviePath, self, @selector(video:didFinishSavingWithError:contextInfo:), nil); } } } Am I saving it incorrectly? When I go to play the video, it works fine, after a couple days the video will play without audio, then eventually it will be gone. Any ideas why?

  • hibernate annotation- extending base class - values are not being set - strange error

    - by gt_ebuddy
I was following Hibernate: Use a Base Class to Map Common Fields and openjpa inheritance tutorial to put common columns like ID, lastModifiedDate etc in base table. My annotated mappings are as follow : BaseTable : @MappedSuperclass public abstract class BaseTable { @Id @GeneratedValue @Column(name = "id") private int id; @Column(name = "lastmodifieddate") private Date lastModifiedDate; ... Person table - @Entity @Table(name = "Person ") public class Person extends BaseTable implements Serializable{ ... Create statement generated : create table Person (id integer not null auto_increment, lastmodifieddate datetime, name varchar(255), primary key (id)) ; After I save a Person object to db, Person p = new Person(); p.setName("Test"); p.setLastModifiedDate(new Date()); .. getSession().save(p); I am setting the date field but, it is saving the record with generated ID and LastModifiedDate = null, and Name="Test". Insert Statement : insert into Person (lastmodifieddate, name) values (?, ?) binding parameter [1] as [TIMESTAMP] - <null> binding parameter [2] as [VARCHAR] - Test Read by ID query : When I do hibernate query (get By ID) as below, It reads person by given ID. Criteria c = getSession().createCriteria(Person.class); c.add(Restrictions.eq("id", id)); Person person= c.list().get(0); //person has generated ID, LastModifiedDate is null select query select person0_.id as id8_, person0_.lastmodifieddate as lastmodi8_, person0_.name as person8_ from Person person0_ - Found [1] as column [id8_] - Found [null] as column [lastmodi8_] - Found [Test] as column [person8_] ReadAll query : //read all Query query = getSession().createQuery("from " + Person.class.getName()); List allPersons=query.list(); Corresponding SQL for read all select query select person0_.id as id8_, person0_.lastmodifieddate as lastmodi8_, person0_.name as person8_ from Person person0_ - Found [1] as column [id8_] - Found [null] as column [lastmodi8_] - Found [Test] as column [person8_] - Found [2] as column [id8_] - Found [null] as column [lastmodi8_] - Found [Test2] as column [person8_] But when I print out the list in console, its being more weird. it is selecting List of Person object with ID fields = all 0 (why all 0 ?) LastModifiedDate = null Name fields have valid values I don't know whats wrong here. Could you please look at it? FYI, My Hibernate-core version : 4.1.2, MySQL Connector version : 5.1.9 . In summary, There are two issues here Why I am getting All ID Fields =0 when using read all? Why the LastModifiedDate is not being inserted?

  • Strange behavior of for loop in scheduler_tick

    - by EpsilonVector
I'm working on Linux kernel 2.4 (homework) and I inserted the following code into the scheduler_tick function: if (unlikely(rt_task(p)) || (p->policy==SCHED_PROD && p->time_ran>=p->process_expected_time)) { /* * RR tasks need a special form of timeslice management. * FIFO tasks have no timeslices. */ if ((p->policy == SCHED_RR || /*change*/p->policy==SCHED_PROD) && !--p->time_slice) { /*changes*/ if (p->policy == SCHED_PROD){ for (i=0; i<5000; i++){ printk("I'm leeching off SCHED_RR code! %d\n", i); } } /*end changes*/ The addition was added for debugging purposes. For some reason this causes very weird behavior: when a SCHED_PROD process triggers this code (and consequently the loop that follows) the loop counts to about 4600 normally, but then goes back to 4600 each time it counts to 4800, and gets stuck in an infinite loop. What's going on?? EDIT: The i variable is my own.

  • Linq to SQL Strange SQL Translation

    - by Master Morality
I have a simple query that is generating some odd SQL translations, which is blowing up my code when the object is saturated. from x in DataContext.MyEntities select new { IsTypeCDA = x.EntityType == "CDA" //x.EntityType is a string and EntityType.CDA is a const string... } I would expect this query should translate to: SELECT (CASE WHEN [t0].[EntityType] = @p1 THEN 1 ELSE 0 END) as [IsTypeCDA] ... Instead I get this : SELECT (CASE WHEN @p1 = [t0].[EntityType] THEN 1 WHEN NOT (@p1 = [t0].[EntityType]) THEN 0 ELSE NULL END) AS [IsTypeCDA] ... Since I'm saturating a POCO where IsTypeCDA is a bool, it blows up stating I can't assign null to bool. Any thoughts? Edit: fixed the property names so they make sense...

  • CKEDITOR, is return some strange characters

    - by nobosh
With CKEDITOR, when I use JS to get the contents of the Text Editor, I'm getting back: <p>\u000a\u0009&nbsp;ad adad ad asd</p>\u000a When I should have gotten: <p>ad adad ad asd</p> Any idea what's going on here? The only difference that could be the cause is that I'm dynamically created textareas on load, and using a class to find the editor: $('.guideItem-textarea').each(function(index, value){ // ID of the textarea var targeteditor = $(this).attr('id'); var targeteditorID = $(this).attr('id').replace('noteguide',''); // Contents in the editor textareacontents = CKEDITOR.instances[targeteditor].getData(); }); Any ideas?

  • JavaScript: Very strange behavior with assigning methods in a loop

    - by Andrey
Consider this code below: <a href="javascript:void(-1)" id="a1">a1</a> <a href="javascript:void(-1)" id="a2">a2</a> <script type="text/javascript"> var buttons = [] buttons.push("a1") buttons.push("a2") var actions = [] for (var i in buttons) { actions[buttons[i]] = function() { alert(i) } } var elements = document.getElementsByTagName("a") for (var k = 0; k < elements.length; k++) { elements[k].onclick = actions[elements[k].id] } </script> Basically, it shows two anchors, a1 and a2, and I expect to see "1" and "2" popping up in an alert when clicking on corresponding anchor. It doesn't happen, I get "2" when clicking on either. After spending an hour meditating on the code, I decided that it probably happens because dynamic onclick methods for both anchors keep the last value of "i". So I change that loop to for (var i in buttons) { var local_i = i.toString() actions[buttons[i]] = function() { alert(local_i) } } hoping that each dynamic function will get its own copy of "i" with immediate value. But after this change I get "1" popping up when I click on either link. What am I doing wrong? It's a huge show stopper for me.

  • C strange array behaviour

    - by LukeN
    After learning that both strncmp is not what it seems to be and strlcpy not being available on my operating system (Linux), I figured I could try and write it myself. I found a quote from Ulrich Drepper, the libc maintainer, who posted an alternative to strlcpy using mempcpy. I don't have mempcpy either, but it's behaviour was easy to replicate. First of, this is the testcase I have #include <stdio.h> #include <string.h> #define BSIZE 10 void insp(const char* s, int n) { int i; for (i = 0; i < n; i++) printf("%c ", s[i]); printf("\n"); for (i = 0; i < n; i++) printf("%02X ", s[i]); printf("\n"); return; } int copy_string(char *dest, const char *src, int n) { int r = strlen(memcpy(dest, src, n-1)); dest[r] = 0; return r; } int main() { char b[BSIZE]; memset(b, 0, BSIZE); printf("Buffer size is %d", BSIZE); insp(b, BSIZE); printf("\nFirst copy:\n"); copy_string(b, "First", BSIZE); insp(b, BSIZE); printf("b = '%s'\n", b); printf("\nSecond copy:\n"); copy_string(b, "Second", BSIZE); insp(b, BSIZE); printf("b = '%s'\n", b); return 0; } And this is its result: Buffer size is 10 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 First copy: F i r s t b = 46 69 72 73 74 00 62 20 3D 00 b = 'First' Second copy: S e c o n d 53 65 63 6F 6E 64 00 00 01 00 b = 'Second' You can see in the internal representation (the lines insp() created) that there's some noise mixed in, like the printf() format string in the inspection after the first copy, and a foreign 0x01 in the second copy. The strings are copied intact and it correctly handles too long source strings (let's ignore the possible issue with passing 0 as length to copy_string for now, I'll fix that later). But why are there foreign array contents (from the format string) inside my destination? It's as if the destination was actually RESIZED to match the new length.

  • .Net in HTML tp return true if reader object not null, otherwise return false

    - by Phill Healey
I'm using a DataList to show some data from the database and populating the fields on the html side. I now have a requirement to change the visibility of a panel based on whether or not a db field has data or not. I need to be able to show the panel if the relevant data field has content, and hide it if it doesn't. Eg: <asp:Panel ID="pnlNew" runat="server" Style="margin:0; padding:0; width:42px; height:18px; bottom:5px; right:10px; float:right; position:relative; background:url(../_imgVideoBadge.png) no-repeat;" Visible='<%# Eval("cheese") != null %>' ToolTip="available"></asp:Panel> Obviously this doesn't work in terms of the visible property. But hopefully it gives an idea of what I'm trying to achieve. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've seen examples previously of doing something along the lines of: a ?? b:c How could this be applied to the above requirement?? Thanks in advance.

  • Strange issue with jQueryUI and .htaccess RewriteRule

    - by dosboy
I have the following rule in my .htaccess which redirects any requests for /labs/... to /projects/...: RewriteRule ^labs/(.+)$ projects/$1 [L] Where projects is a local folder on my web server. I'm using jQueryUI on a page in a subfolder of projects, say projects/project1/index.php. When I hit http://mydomain.com/projects/project1/ everything is fine. However if I hit http://mydomain.com/labs/project1/ almost everything is fine, except that I get the following warning in my JS console: Resource interpreted as image but transferred with MIME type text/html. ui-bg_highlight-soft_60_4ca20b_1x100.png And my jQueryUI button loses its glossy look. I don't even know where to begin to try to solve this. But if anyone has any suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it.

  • PHP class_exists always returns true

    - by Ali
I have a PHP class that needs some pre-defined globals before the file is included: File: includes/Product.inc.php if (class_exists('Product')) { return; } // This class requires some predefined globals if ( !isset($gLogger) || !isset($db) || !isset($glob) ) { return; } class Product { ... } The above is included in other PHP files that need to use Product using require_once. Anyone who wants to use Product must however ensure those globals are available, at least that's the idea. I recently debugged an issue in a function within the Product class which was caused because $gLogger was null. The code requiring the above Product.inc.php had not bothered to create the $gLogger. So The question is how was this class ever included if $gLogger was null? I tried to debug the code (xdebug in NetBeans), put a breakpoint at the start of Product.inc.php to find out and every time it came to the if (class_exists('Product')) clause it would simply step in and return thus never getting to the global checks. So how was it ever included the first time? This is PHP 5.1+ running under MAMP (Apache/MySQL). I don't have any auto loaders defined.

  • iPhone Application: force landscape mode, strange behaviour...?

    - by David Lawson
This is a method I use to switch display views, based on a string passed (for example you could pass MainMenuViewController to switch views to a new instance of that class): - (void)displayView:(NSString *)newView { NSLog(@"%@", newView); [[currentView view] removeFromSuperview]; [currentView release]; UIViewController *newView = [[NSClassFromString(newView) alloc] init]; [[newView view] setFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, 320, 460)]; [self setCurrentView:newView]; [[self view] addSubview:[currentView view]]; } I have my application forced into landscape view (.plist and -shouldRotate), but if you look in the code: [[newView view] setFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, 320, 460)]; I have to set the frame of the newView to a portrait frame for the view to be displayed correctly - otherwise, for example, a button on the new view can only be pressed in certain parts of the screen (rectangle up the top), unresponsive anywhere else. Even though in all my NIB files they are set to landscape.

  • Strange behaviour of NSScanner on simple whitespace removal

    - by Michael Waterfall
I'm trying to replace all multiple whitespace in some text with a single space. This should be a very simple task, however for some reason it's returning a different result than expected. I've read the docs on the NSScanner and it seems like it's not working properly! NSScanner *scanner = [[NSScanner alloc] initWithString:@"This is a test of NSScanner !"]; NSMutableString *result = [[NSMutableString alloc] init]; NSString *temp; NSCharacterSet *whitespace = [NSCharacterSet whitespaceCharacterSet]; while (![scanner isAtEnd]) { // Scan upto and stop before any whitespace [scanner scanUpToCharactersFromSet:whitespace intoString:&temp]; // Add all non whotespace characters to string [result appendString:temp]; // Scan past all whitespace and replace with a single space if ([scanner scanCharactersFromSet:whitespace intoString:NULL]) { [result appendString:@" "]; } } But for some reason the result is @"ThisisatestofNSScanner!" instead of @"This is a test of NSScanner !". If you read through the comments and what each line should achieve it seems simple enough!? scanUpToCharactersFromSet should stop the scanner just as it encounters whitespace. scanCharactersFromSet should then progress the scanner past the whitespace up to the non-whitespace characters. And then the loop continues to the end. What am I missing or not understanding?

Hey ppl, I came across something weird today, and I was wondering if any of you here could explain what's happening... HELLO WORLD! hello world! HELLO WORLD! but instead I got this: hello world! HELLO WORLD! hello world! hello world! I can't really understand why the second toUpper didn't have any effect.

  • Getting true video Height/Width from ASF videos

    - by David
I am trying to convert an ASF video with FFMPEG using an interface called mediahandler. The issue is, the metadata on the ASF video appears to be corrupt. It states that the video is 640x240, and 4:3 aspect ratio. The aspect ratio is correct, but obviously the resolution is not. This causes the converter to incorrectly scale the video, because it uses the resolution to determine the original aspect ratio. I am able to get the aspect ratio metadata, but I'm not sure this solves the issue, because I would think that if the resolution could be incorrect, then so could the aspect ratio metadata. So, is there any way to get the actual height/width? It appears that players like VLC have no issue with this. How do I do such a thing w/ FFMPEG?

And the code is as follows: #include "stdafx.h" #include <stdio.h> /* for printf() and fprintf() */ #include <winsock2.h> /* for socket(), connect(), sendto(), and recvfrom() */ #include <ws2tcpip.h> /* for ip_mreq */ #include <stdlib.h> /* for atoi() and exit() */ #include <string.h> /* for memset() */ #include <time.h> /* for timestamps */ #include <pcap.h> #include <Iphlpapi.h> #pragma comment(lib, "Ws2_32.lib") #pragma comment(lib, "wpcap.lib") #pragma comment(lib, "Iphlpapi.lib") int _tmain(int argc, _TCHAR* argv[]) { int sfd; int on, length, iResult; WSADATA wsaData; struct addrinfo Hints; struct addrinfo *multicastAddr, *localAddr; char buf[46]; // Initialize Winsock iResult = WSAStartup(MAKEWORD(2, 2), &wsaData); if (iResult != 0) { printf("WSAStartup failed: %d\n", iResult); return 1; } /* Resolve destination address for multicast datagrams */ memset(&Hints, 0, sizeof (Hints)); Hints.ai_family = AF_INET6; Hints.ai_socktype = SOCK_DGRAM; Hints.ai_protocol = IPPROTO_UDP; Hints.ai_flags = AI_NUMERICHOST; iResult = getaddrinfo("FF02::1:2", "547", &Hints, &multicastAddr); if (iResult != 0) { /* error handling */ printf("socket error: %d\n", WSAGetLastError()); return -1; } /* Get a local address with the same family (IPv4 or IPv6) as our multicast group */ Hints.ai_family = multicastAddr->ai_family; Hints.ai_socktype = SOCK_DGRAM; Hints.ai_flags = AI_PASSIVE; /* Return an address we can bind to */ if ( getaddrinfo(NULL, "546", &Hints, &localAddr) != 0 ) { printf("getaddrinfo() failed: %d\n", WSAGetLastError()); exit(-1); } // Create sending socket //sfd = socket (multicastAddr->ai_family, multicastAddr->ai_socktype, multicastAddr->ai_protocol); sfd = socket(AF_INET6, SOCK_DGRAM, IPPROTO_UDP); if (sfd == -1) { printf("socket error: %d\n", WSAGetLastError()); return 0; } /* Bind to the multicast port */ if ( bind(sfd, localAddr->ai_addr, localAddr->ai_addrlen) != 0 ) { printf("bind() failed: %d\n", WSAGetLastError()); exit(-1); } if (multicastAddr->ai_family == AF_INET6 && multicastAddr->ai_addrlen == sizeof(struct sockaddr_in6)) /* IPv6 */ { on = 1; if (setsockopt (sfd, IPPROTO_IPV6, IPV6_MULTICAST_IF, (char *)&on, sizeof (on) /*(char *)&interface_addr, sizeof(interface_addr)*/) == -1) { printf("setsockopt error:%d\n", WSAGetLastError()); return -1; } if (setsockopt (sfd, IPPROTO_IPV6, IPV6_MULTICAST_LOOP, (char *)&on, sizeof (on) /*(char *)&interface_addr, sizeof(interface_addr)*/) == -1) { printf("setsockopt error:%d\n", WSAGetLastError()); return -1; } struct ipv6_mreq multicastRequest; /* Multicast address join structure */ /* Specify the multicast group */ memcpy(&multicastRequest.ipv6mr_multiaddr, &((struct sockaddr_in6*)(multicastAddr->ai_addr))->sin6_addr, sizeof(struct in6_addr)); /* Accept multicast from any interface */ multicastRequest.ipv6mr_interface = 0; /* Join the multicast address */ if ( setsockopt(sfd, IPPROTO_IPV6, IPV6_JOIN_GROUP, (char*) &multicastRequest, sizeof(multicastRequest)) != 0 ) { printf("setsockopt() failed: %d\n", WSAGetLastError()); return -1; } on = 1; if (setsockopt (sfd, IPPROTO_IPV6, IPV6_MULTICAST_IF, (char *)&on, sizeof (on)) == -1) { printf("setsockopt error:%d\n", WSAGetLastError()); return 0; } } memset(buf, 0, sizeof(buf)); strcpy(buf, "hello world"); iResult = sendto(sfd, buf, strlen(buf), 0, (LPSOCKADDR) multicastAddr->ai_addr, multicastAddr->ai_addrlen); if (iResult == SOCKET_ERROR) { printf("setsockopt error:%d\n", WSAGetLastError()); return -1; /* Error handling */ } return 0; }
