• C++ DLL-Linking UnResolved Externals

  I have a rather big Core project that I'm working with, I'm attempting to adapt it to use a DLL Engine I've built, I'm getting a bunch of errors like: unresolved external symbol "private: static class When including some of the headers from the Core in the DLL, the class is exported via __declspec(dllexport) but any header with static members throws out a crapload of errors regarding the static members. This is a rather big project, I can't exactly run around removing every static class member I see, is there anyway around this kind of thing?

• Visual Studio appears to randomly adopt american keyboard layout

  Gah! this is really causing me hassle today. Suddenly without warning '@' (at symbol) and '"' (double quote) are trading places on my keyboard but ONLY in Visual Studio 2008 !!! I can't seem to find anything in help or online to explain/remedy this. Is there some keyboard shortcut I am inadvertantly executing?? I rebooted my PC and it went away for an hour or two and then suddenly came back. Oh the insanity :(

  Hi I would like to make an animation using some tool (like e.g. Flash CS) and then export it for ActionScript. I thought this could be done in Flash CS but I just tried it by making an animation, converting it to a symbol and then selecting "Export for ActionScript". The problem: in the project folder there are no ActionScript classes generated. Am I doing it wrong or do I have to use a different tool to do the animation? Many many thanks for your help, Gloria

  I have a series of buttons that have suit symbols on them. Currently I provide these suit symbols as bitmaps. In preparation for iPhone 4 I'd like to use text instead. However Interface Builder rescales the button to account for whitespace underneath the symbol so I can't get the image to fill the button completely.   I am getting the message: * _NSAutoreleaseNoPool(): Object 0x3f43660 of class UICFFont autoreleased with no pool in place - just leaking I have placed a break point using the symbol _NSAutoreleaseNoPool and the program does break, however, the stack trace does not show me any of my code only some UIView and Core Animation layer code. Is there a better way to get to the bottom of the issue? There is apparently a thread that does not have an auto release pool, but I can't figure out where. Thanks.
