  • Clojure evaluation without SLIME

    Hi, I'm a starter with Emacs (but quite experienced Vim user) and trying to play with Emacs+Clojure combination. Maybe my setup will be unusual for Emacs world, as I'm not using SLIME/swank-clojure, but Emacs + eshell with running clojure REPL in it, mostly due simplicity (or probably because SLIME quite scares me off :D). So, maybe there is a Emacs guru that can help me here: does exists any shortcut (or maybe some elisp sample) to copy/paste code chunks (sexps) from editing buffer to eshell (and possibly execute it)?   • When does a PHP script end?

    In my mind, a web app something that runs continuously; therefore, I'm confused by documentation pages that talk about the "end" of a PHP script (eg this one). Such references seem to refer to the end of each web request, but if the script ends there, doesn't that mean that the OS has to setup a whole new process for each request? That seems unlikely, because spinning up a whole new process is expensive, and be very inefficient for the whole site.

  • Issue building C++ DLL with Visual Studio 2010

    I have a very simple DLL written in unmanaged C++ that I access from my application. I recently switch to Visual Studio 2010, and the DLL went from 55k down to 35k with no code changes, and now it will no longer load in Windows 2000. I didn't change any code or compiler settings. I have my defines setup for 0x0500, which should include Windows 2000 support. Has anyone else run into this, or have any ideas of what I can do?

    Can someone explain to me in plain English what SIP trunking is, please? I've read about it on Google, but I don't really grasp it yet. Does it allow a VoIP call to be placed outside of the LAN? So if you had Asterisk setup as the PBX, then IP calls could be made outside of the network? Am I close or am I just saying stupid words?

    i am doing load test on this REST API using SOAPUI. http://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/geocode/xml?address=1600+Amphitheatre+Parkway,+Mountain+View,+CA&sensor=false i ve successfully setup the testsuite and all. my doubt is is it possible to change the query parameters in the REST API url by passing values from the script editor(either javascript or groovy) for the test suite when i perform test? if so, how should i write the script? I've written an app that is very simple in C#. I want this to compile to a stand alone exe file, but I can't seem to find the proper settings to do this.     I am trying to setup a many-to-many mapping in Fluent Nhibernate that has a where clause attached to the child table. This is basically how it should work: HasManyToMany(p => p.Images) .Table("ProductImages") .ParentKeyColumn("ProductID") .ChildKeyColumn("ImageID") .Where("ImageTypeID = 2"); The ImageTypeID column is in the Images table, but NHibernate is assuming it is part of the ProductImages table. Any idea how I can specify this? Thanks!

    I'm running the latest Mercurial and Python 2.6; IIS6 is using the wildcard ISAPI method to attach the site to the Mecurial hgwebdir_wsgi [paths] \ = \\COMP3254\TestRepo\* [web] baseurl = / allow_push = * push_ssl = false style = monoblue The setup works perfectly if I reference the local drive E:\repo* but doesnt work if I specify the network as above; I've given the server (MERCDEV01$) full permissions on the shared folder on COMP3254, I can't think of any other reason it wouldn't work. Any ideas?

  • How do I specify a project dependency with Hudson?

    We have common library projects shared amongst many projects that are required to be checked out into a "Libraries" folder which a developer needs to checkout prior to opening the main project in visual studio. How I tell hudson that there is this dependency? I figured one thing I could do is setup a custom workspace and specify the location for all projects, but how do I wire up the dependency between them all? Is simply specifying "Build after other projects are built" enough?

    I installed rvm as root to setup an Ubuntu LTS 8.04 as a web hosting server for my rails apps. rvm is installed in: /usr/local/rvm Everything works fine, gems installation included and users are able to use ruby and gem commands. sudo gem install rails My problem is that the gems EXECUTABLE DIRECTORY is not included in my PATH and thus I cannot use rails command. Is there a way to dynamycally include gems executable directory in my PATH? Can it be done directly through rvm?

However, if I login to my GMail account and send an email to [email protected], then I get an "Unrouteable Address". Thank you for any hints to solve this issue.
