    I want to create a link like the following: http://www.myurl.com/?IDHERE What i want to be able to do is be able to goto the above link, and then pull whats after the ? When the function tries to create a new folder in rails root it gives error i.e. Permission denied. The function performs well if not called in background job process. From a best-practice point of view, I should use the Java class libraries classes if they exist, but I'm not sure whether this one does.     Is it faster to do the following: if ($var != 'test1' && $var != 'test2' && $var != 'test3' && $var != 'test4') { ... } Or: if (!in_array($var, array('test1', 'test2', 'test3', 'test4') { ... } Is there a number of values at which point it's faster to do one or the other? (In this case, the array used in the second option doesn't alreay exist.)
