Hi there I expose my problem, but first I ask you one example otherwise you will understand why,
In VB6 when surfing the site and google example I set the textbox the value "Test" and then click on commandbotton I just enter the source
webbrowser1.document.all ("g"). value = "Test"
WebBrowser1.document.all ("btnG"). Click**
I would do the same with the vb.Net but I can not, I'd be happy to accept your advice.
Thanks in advance
.NET provides a great library for working with SMTP for sending messages, however, there is not an implementation of a Pop3 client, or IMAP client for working with receiving e-mail from a mail host.
Does anyone know of a good component that can provide Pop, IMAP, or both support? I know that code project has implementations, but from my experience finding a "good" one is hard.
is it possible to solve conflicts on client side with sync services for ado.net?
for example, with Client Insert Server Insert, updating client's table id (on client side) , tks
Hi all,
I have been given a wsdl and have used wsdl.exe to create my proxy classes.
I am able to call the function to initiate the request with some valid parameters and this returns my response object which is always EMPTY.
When i inspect the soap message response using fiddler the soap does have valid data that should be deserialzed to the proxy classes.
Can i manually intercept the derserializing call of the proxy classes generated by wsdl and check that .net is correctly derializing the soap response?
Thank you
What is the best way to put together a "shortcut" to launch a IronRuby REPL with some .NET assemblies preloaded? I think there is a way to do this in Powershell (via Snapin or Module) and I'm looking for something similar in IronRuby.
My team uses TFS for source control and continuous integration. I'd like to come up with a nice, clean way to show release notes to end users each time we deploy. I'm curious what others are doing to manage release notes in an ASP.NET / TFS environment.
My users upload Word 2007 documents to our site and I'd like to load them into a rich edit control of some kind so the users can make modifications/ comment, etc.
What mechanisms are available to:
load the Word document via ASP.NET, and
parse/format/display the document in a rich editing control?
Also, what kinds of rich editing controls are best to use in this circumstance?
Is there a way in .NET to perform the same technique Photoshop uses for Gradient Mapping (Image - Adjustments - Gradient Map [Gradient Editor])? Any ideas, links, code, etc. would be welcome.
I want to do something like this
ffmpeg -i audio.mp3 -f flac - | oggenc2.exe - -o audio.ogg
i know how to do ffmpeg -i audio.mp3 -f flac using the process class in .NET but how do i pipe it to oggenc2?
Any example of how to do this (it doesnt need to be ffmpeg or oggenc2) would be fine.
At the last PDC (can't remember which talk it was) they gave us the information that it will be possible to share assemblies between regular .Net 4 and Silverlight 4.
Unfortunately I can't find anything on this. Was this feature dropped? What options/limitations are there?
(There are similar questions on SO but they don't say if they apply to SL3 or 4.)
As per the question title, How could I take a hex code and convert it to a .Net Color object, and do it the other way?
I googled and keep getting the same way which doesn't work.
ColorTranslator.ToHtml(renderedChart.ForeColor)
Which returns the name of the color as in 'White' instead of '#ffffff'! Doing it the other way seems to have odd results, only working some of the time...
I have a question, which Unicode encoding to use while encoding .NET string into base64? I know strings are UTF-16 encoded on Windows, so is my way of encoding is the right one?
public static String ToBase64String(this String source) {
return Convert.ToBase64String(Encoding.Unicode.GetBytes(source));
}
I am developing an ASP.NET 3.5 web application in which I am allowing my users to upload either jpeg,gif,bmp or png images. If the uploaded image dimensions are greater then 103 x 32 the I want to resize the uploaded image to 103 x 32. I have read some blog posts and articles, and have also tried some of the code samples but nothing seems to work right. Has anyone succeed in doing this?
Is there a way that I can trace every method, basically a line trace, in an asp.net web site in production environment?
I don't want to go about creating db logging for every line - i see an intermittent error and would like to see every line called and performed by the website per user.
Hello,
I have a question about how ASP.NET AJAX partial rendering actually works. Does it:
1) Renders the whole page on the server, transmits the whole page to the client, the client then merges just the area contained in the update panel.
2) Renders the whole page on the server, transmits and merges just the area contained by the update panel.
3) Renders, transmits and merges just the area contained by the update panel.
Thanks,
AJ

I have a .net 4 application that uses a Com Dll to send SMS messages. I used TlbImp to create the interop assembly and that is what is referenced in the application.
When I try to create an instance of this class, it takes a really long time (2-5 seconds).
I ran performance profile in VS 2010 and the call that takes the longest by far is System.Activator.CreateInstance().
I am looking for tips on how to debug or gotchas with using Com Interop.

I am thinking about switching my blog away from Community Server to something that is simpler and focuses more on just being a good blog.
What are the different .NET blogging engines and which one do you recommend?
