  • Is ther anyone familiar with Erica Sadun's APIKit(app private api scanner)?

    Hello everyone I'm trying to use APIKit to scan my codes to detect if there is private API. apiscanner should run as ./apiscanner ~/Desktop/MyPath/myapp.app I used command 'cd' go to the directory where apiscanner is. But if I call ./apiscanner ~/Desktop/MyPath/MyApp.app on terminal it reports Last login: Sun Jun 13 07:22:07 on ttys002 unknown required load command 0x80000022 Trace/BPT trap logout Even if I copy the files apiscanner and doit to MyPath, then execute, I get the same problem. I think there is something wrong when I run apiscanner under Mac OS X. Welcome any comment Thanks

  • Rails - embedded polymorphic comment list + add comment form - example?

    Hey, all. Working on my first Rails app. I've searched all around - read a bunch of tutorials, articles, and forum posts, watched some screencasts, and I've found a few examples that come close to what I'm trying to do (notably http://railscasts.com/episodes/154-polymorphic-association and ep 196 about nested model forms), but not exactly. I have two models (Podcast and BlogPost) that need to be commentable, and I have a Comment model that is polymorphically related to both. The railscasts above had a very similar example (ep 154), but Ryan used a full set of nested routes, so there were specific templates for adding and editing comments. What I want to do is show the list of comments right on the Podcast or BlogPost page, along with an Add Comment form at the bottom. I don't need a separate add template/route, and I don't need the ability to edit, only delete. This is a pretty common design on the web, but I can't find a Rails example specifically about this pattern. Here's my current understanding: I need routes for the create and delete actions, of course, but there are no templates associated with those. I'm also guessing that the right approach is to create a partial that can be included at the bottom of both the Podcast and BlogPost show template. The logical name for the partial seems to me to be something like _comments.html.haml. I know it's a common convention to have the object passed to the partial be named after the template, but calling the object 'comments' seems to not match my use case, since what I really need to pass is the commentable object (Podcast or BlogPost). So, I guess I'd use the locals option for the render partial call? (:commentable = @podcast). Inside the partial, I could call commentable.comments to get the comments collection, render that with a second partial (this time with the conventional use case, calling the partial _comment.html.haml), then create a form that submits to... what? REST-wise, it should be a POST to the collection, which would be /podcast|blogpost/:id/comments, and I think the helper for that is podcast_comments_path(podcast) if it were a podcast - not sure what to do though, since I'm using polymorphic comments. That would trigger the Comment.create action, which would then need to redirect back to the podcast|blogpost path /podcast|blogpost/:id. It's all a bit overwhelming, which is why I was really hoping to find a screencast or example that specifically implements this design.

    Hi, I have an NSView in which the user can draw circles. These circles are stored as an array of NSBezierPaths, and in drawRect:, I loop through the array and call -stroke on each of the paths. How do I add a button to zoom in and out the NSView? Just change the bounds of the view? Thanks.

  • ModalPopup CodeBehind Function Wait For User Response

    I have set up a function which returns an enum of the button that the user clicked in the ModalPopup. I have a variable of type enum to store which button the user clicks in the button click event. In this function, I call the ModalPopupExtender's Show() method. My problem is, the function finishes out and returns the default enum (which is "none" since no button was clicked yet) before the ModalPopup can be shown and store which button the user clicks. So without changing the function to a method and using a different way to store the user's button click, how can I pause the function after the Show() method of the MPE has been called and wait for the user to click a button? Edit(11/20/2009): Clarification: On the aspx page, I include a ScriptManager, PlaceHolder, and an asp:Button with a codebehind click event. What I want is to click the button, then in the click event handler, I want to call a custom static class function that returns a variable. One of the arguments it takes is the PlaceHolder. The function creates all the necessary controls in the PlaceHolder needed to display a ModalPopup. It calls the created ModalPopupExtender's Show() method. What should happen: At this point is the ModalPopup gets displayed, the user clicks a button, that button's event handler fires, the button sets a variable indicating that it was clicked, it then calls the ModalPopupExtender's .Hide() method, and then the function returns the variable that indicates which button was clicked. We then return to the event handler from the original button that was clicked and the programmer can then perform some logic based on what variable was returned. Crux: When the ModalPopupExtender's .Show() method gets called, it does not display the ModalPopup until AFTER the function returns a default variable (because no button was clicked yet) and after the event handler from the original button that was clicked ends. What I need: After the ModalPopupExtender's .Show() method is called, I need the ModalPopup to get displayed immediately and I need the function to wait for a button click to be made from the ModalPopup. My thoughts: Some PostBack needs to be made to the page telling it to update and display the ModalPopup Panel. Then maybe a while loop can be run in the function that waits for a button to be clicked in the ModalPopup.

    I want to use System.Net.Mail.SendAync in an ASP.NET MVC2 application. I see that it throws an InvalidOperationException if there is already a SendAsync call in progress. Does this mean only one SendAsync is allowed per host, or per thread? For example, if I simultaneously have 2 web users from 2 different remote hosts, can each use SendAsync at the same time?

  • JNDI / Classpath problem in glassfish

    I am in the process of converting a large J2EE app from EJB 2 to EJB 3 (all stateless session beans, using glassfish 2.1.1), and running out of ideas. The first EJB I converted (let's call it Foo) ran without major problems (it was the only one in its ejb-module and I could completely replace the deployment descriptor with annotations) and the app ran fine. But after converting the second one (let's call it Bar, one of several in a different ejb-module) there is a weird combination of problems: The app deploys without errors (nothing in the logs either) There is an error when looking up Bar via JNDI When looking at the JNDI tree in the glassfish admin console, Bar is not present at all. Is there a way to see the ClassPath that Glassfish is actually using?

  • Asynchronous readback from opengl front buffer using multiple PBO's

    I am developing an application that needs to read back the whole frame from the front buffer of an openGL application. I can hijack the application's opengl library and insert my code on swapbuffers. At the moment I am successfully using a simple but excruciating slow glReadPixels command without PBO's. Now I read about using multiple PBO's to speed things up. While I think I've found enough resources to actually program that (isn't that hard), I have some operational questions left. I would do something like this: create a series (e.g. 3) of PBO's use glReadPixels in my swapBuffers override to read data from front buffer to a PBO (should be fast and non-blocking, right?) Create a seperate thread to call glMapBufferARB, once per PBO after a glReadPixels, because this will block until the pixels are in client memory. Process the data from step 3. Now my main concern is of course in steps 2 and 3. I read about glReadPixels used on PBO's being non-blocking, will this be an issue if I issue new opengl commands after that very fast? Will those opengl commands block? Or will they continue (my guess), and if so, I guess only swapbuffers can be a problem, will this one stall or will glReadPixels from front buffer be many times faster than swapping (about each 15-30ms) or, worst case scenario, will swapbuffers be executed while glReadPixels is still reading data to the PBO? My current guess is this logic will do something like this: copy FRONT_BUFFER - generic place in VRAM, copy VRAM-RAM. But I have no idea which of those 2 is the real bottleneck and more, what the influence on the normal opengl command stream is. Then in step 3. Is it wise to do this asynchronously in a thread separated from normal opengl logic? At the moment I think not, It seems you have to restore buffer operations to normal after doing this and I can't install synchronization objects in the original code to temporarily block those. So I think my best option is to define a certain swapbuffer delay before reading them out, so e.g. calling glReadPixels on PBO i%3 and glMapBufferARB on PBO (i+2)%3 in the same thread, resulting in a delay of 2 frames. Also, when I call glMapBufferARB to use data in client memory, will this be the bottleneck or will glReadPixels (asynchronously) be the bottleneck? And finally, if you have some better ideas to speed up frame readback from GPU in opengl, please tell me, because this is a painful bottleneck in my current system. I hope my question is clear enough, I know the answer will probably also be somewhere on the internet but I mostly came up with results that used PBO's to keep buffers in video memory and do processing there. I really need to read back the front buffer to RAM and I do not find any clear explanations about performance in that case (which I need, I cannot rely on "it's faster", I need to explain why it's faster).   • MKMapView Not Loading When Called on an NSThread?

    I am creating a MKMapView in a method named "generateMap". From inside viewDidLoad, this works: [self generateMap]; but this causes the map to quickly load and then disappear, leaving only the blank grey grid: [NSThread detachNewThreadSelector:@selector(spinTheSpinner) toTarget:self withObject:nil]; Any ideas why this might be happening when I call the method through a thread?

I think the video window is covering the whole area. How can I solve that?

  • Java Copy/Paste org.w3c.dom.Node between two running copies of the same program

    I have a program that shows a tree representation of an XML file. Using a number of sources online I have Copy/Paste within a single instance of the program working. I am using the system Clipboard. What I need though is to be able to copy a node from one instance of the program and paste to a different instance of the same program. I have tried a number of different options, all resulting in the same behavior. When pasting from within the same application the clipboardContent contains a "transferable" object with the correct data along with an isLocal set to "true". When I perform the copy and then attempt the paste from another instance of the same program running the clipboardContent contains a "flavorsToData" HashMap and "flavors" values, the check for isDataFlavorSupported fails (never hits my custom class that represents the new flavor). I have tried using different values for the requestor object in the getContents() call. Likewise I have tried a few different ClipboardOwners for the setContent() call. Neither seem to change the behavior in any way. I am sorely tempted to convert the node that is being copied back into a textual XML format, and then on the paste convert back to the DOM model, but would rather not if possible.     I know that fork() returns differently for the son and father processes, but I'm unable to find information on how this happens. How does the son process receive the return value 0 from fork? And what is the difference in regards to the call stack? As I understand it, for the father it goes something like this: father process--invokes fork--system_call--calls fork--fork executes--returns to--system_call--returns to--father process. What happens in the son side?
