I'm lost :-( Best Regards.

  • "vagrant up" fails with "NS_ERROR_CALL_FAILED" error [on hold]

    - by TahitiPetey
    I am following the basic "Getting Started" guide: http://docs.vagrantup.com/v2/getting-started/index.html I ran vagrant init <etc> followed by vagrant up, but it fails with "NS_ERROR_CALL_FAILED" error. Then by enabling debug logging with VAGRANT_LOG=debug vagrant up, I get the following error output: ERROR vagrant: /Applications/Vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.2.2/plugins/providers/virtualbox/driver/base.rb:316:in `execute' /Applications/Vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.2.2/plugins/providers/virtualbox/driver/version_4_2.rb:165:in `import' /Applications/Vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.2.2/plugins/providers/virtualbox/action/import.rb:15:in `call' /Applications/Vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.2.2/lib/vagrant/action/warden.rb:34:in `call' /Applications/Vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.2.2/lib/vagrant/action/builtin/handle_box_url.rb:72:in `call' /Applications/Vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.2.2/lib/vagrant/action/warden.rb:34:in `call' /Applications/Vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.2.2/plugins/providers/virtualbox/action/check_accessible.rb:18:in `call' /Applications/Vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.2.2/lib/vagrant/action/warden.rb:34:in `call' /Applications/Vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.2.2/lib/vagrant/action/runner.rb:61:in `block in run' /Applications/Vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.2.2/lib/vagrant/util/busy.rb:19:in `busy' /Applications/Vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.2.2/lib/vagrant/action/runner.rb:61:in `run' /Applications/Vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.2.2/lib/vagrant/action/builtin/call.rb:51:in `call' /Applications/Vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.2.2/lib/vagrant/action/warden.rb:34:in `call' /Applications/Vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.2.2/lib/vagrant/action/builtin/config_validate.rb:25:in `call' /Applications/Vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.2.2/lib/vagrant/action/warden.rb:34:in `call' /Applications/Vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.2.2/plugins/providers/virtualbox/action/check_virtualbox.rb:17:in `call' /Applications/Vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.2.2/lib/vagrant/action/warden.rb:34:in `call' /Applications/Vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.2.2/lib/vagrant/action/builder.rb:116:in `call' /Applications/Vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.2.2/lib/vagrant/action/runner.rb:61:in `block in run' /Applications/Vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.2.2/lib/vagrant/util/busy.rb:19:in `busy' /Applications/Vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.2.2/lib/vagrant/action/runner.rb:61:in `run' /Applications/Vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.2.2/lib/vagrant/machine.rb:147:in `action' /Applications/Vagrant/embedded/gems/gems/vagrant-1.2.2/lib/vagrant/batch_action.rb:63:in `block (2 levels) in run' INFO interface: error: There was an error while executing `VBoxManage`, a CLI used by Vagrant for controlling VirtualBox. • mysqld_multi stop doesn't seem to work

    - by gravyface
mysqld_multi stop 1 followed by (repeatedly, a few moments later) mysqld_multi report 1 returns: Reporting MySQL servers MySQL server from group: mysqld1 is running The instances work fine and when I reboot, I have to start the instances to get them to come back up (a separate issue I need to resolve), but the stop command doesn't seem to do anything. It truly doesn't stop the instance because in the instance log file I see this: 120619 11:12:39 mysqld_safe A mysqld process already exists after trying to run start after.

  • Windows 7 boot log missing?

    - by matt lohkamp
After hitting F8 before startup and selecting "enable boot logging", I let windows try to start up and blue screen / restart (which I'm currently trying to troubleshoot) - I run the 'repair' function, open a command prompt, and try to find the boot log file, which I expected to be at %SystemRoot%\ntbtlog.txt - but it's not. Where is it? PS - probably makes no difference, but this is windows 7 ultimate 64bit to be precise.

I'm looking for a command line interface program that gives me the ability to write formatted text easily interoperable with MS Word and OpenOffice. I figured RTF would be the common ground. An example of what I was hoping for would be: [Heading 1] Hello Heading [Paragraph Style 1] My name is hello world, I'm awesome.

  • Microsoft signed drivers appears as publisher not verfied

    - by Priyanka Gupta
Task at hand: Microsoft sign drivers on Win 7. I microsoft signed my driver package 3 times every time thinking I might have missed a step or something. However, I cannot seem to get rid of the Windows Security error message "Windows can't verify the publisher of this driver software'. This is not the first time I have signed the driver packages. I was successfully able to sign other driver packages a few months ago. However, with this driver package I keep getting Windows security dialog box. Here's the procedure I follow - Create a new cat file using INF2CAT tool. Self sign the driver using a Versign Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority - G5.cer. Run the microsoft tests on DTM Servers and clients with the devices that use this driver. Create WLK submission package. Self sign the cab file. Submit the package for certification. The catalog file that comes back after successfully passing tests says Name of signer "Microsoft Windows Hardware Comptibility Publisher". When I check the validity of signature using SignTool, it says the signature is vaild. However, when I try to install the driver with new signed catalog file the windows complain. Any ideas? Edit 11/12/2012: Reply to Eugene's comment Thanks for the help, Eugene. Yes. I did sign two other driver packages before. One of them was modified version of WinUSB driver. I am using the same certificate I used when I signed those two driver packages a few months ago. It costs $250 per signing from Microsoft. I would think that Microsoft would complain about it during certification if the certificate is wrong. I use the following command to self sign the CAT file. I don't have to specify the ceritificate name as there's only one certificate in the directory - Signtool sign /v /a /n CompanyName /t http://timestamp.verisign.com/scripts/timestamp.dll OurCatalogFile.cat Below is the result from running Verify command on the Microsoft signed OutCatalogFile.cat C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.1\Bin\x64signtool verify /v "C:\User s\logotest\Documents\serialdriversigning\OurCatalogFile.cat" Verifying: C:\Users\logotest\Documents\serialdriversigning\OurCatalogFile.cat" Hash of file (sha1): BDDF39B1DD95881B462164129758A7FFD54F47D9 Signing Certificate Chain: Issued to: Microsoft Root Certificate Authority Issued by: Microsoft Root Certificate Authority Expires: Sun May 09 18:28:13 2021 SHA1 hash: CDD4EEAE6000AC7F40C3802C171E30148030C072 Issued to: Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility PCA Issued by: Microsoft Root Certificate Authority Expires: Thu Jun 04 16:15:46 2020 SHA1 hash: 8D42419D8B21E5CF9C3204D0060B19312B96EB78 Issued to: Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher Issued by: Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility PCA Expires: Wed Sep 18 18:20:55 2013 SHA1 hash: D94345C032D23404231DD3902F22AB1C2100341E The signature is timestamped: Tue Nov 06 11:26:48 2012 Timestamp Verified by: Issued to: Microsoft Root Authority Issued by: Microsoft Root Authority Expires: Thu Dec 31 02:00:00 2020 SHA1 hash: A43489159A520F0D93D032CCAF37E7FE20A8B419 Issued to: Microsoft Timestamping PCA Issued by: Microsoft Root Authority Expires: Sun Sep 15 02:00:00 2019 SHA1 hash: 3EA99A60058275E0ED83B892A909449F8C33B245 Issued to: Microsoft Time-Stamp Service Issued by: Microsoft Timestamping PCA Expires: Tue Apr 09 16:53:56 2013 SHA1 hash: 1895C2C907E0D7E5C0292B92C6EA8D0E236F525E Successfully verified: C:\Users\logotest\Documents\serialdriversigning\OurCatalogFile.cat" Number of files successfully Verified: 1 Number of warnings: 0 Number of errors: 0 Thank you!

  • List all files and dirs without recursion with junctions

    - by naxa
Is there a native|portable tool that can give me an unicode (or at least system local-compatible) list of all files and directories under a path recursively, without recursing into junction points or links, in Windows? For example, the built-in dir command, as well as takeown and icacls run into an infinite loop with the Application Data directory (1). EDIT I would like to be able to get a text file or at least easy clipboard transfer as output.

  • sshfs mount won't start from /etc/rc.local

    - by Alex Flo
I have the following commands in /etc/rc.local chmod 666 /dev/fuse chmod +x /usr/bin/fusermount /bin/su someuser -c "/usr/bin/sshfs someuser@someserver:/usr/local/storage /usr/local/storage_remote -o nonempty -o reconnect" If I run them from command line, as root, they work. If I reboot the server they won't run from /etc/rc.local. I try to figure out what I do wrong but I don't have console access and I couldn't find any errors in /var/log related to sshfs.

  • FreeBSD - customizing packages

    - by Walter White
Hi all, I am experimenting with FreeBSD and have used Gentoo in the past. In Gentoo, we have make.conf where we can specify global use flags, and /etc/portage/package.use for package-specific use flags. I found a reference indicating that if you want to customize ports in FreeBSD, you have to pass them on the command-line meaning you will lose those customizations if you forget or simply by doing updates. Any ideas? Walter

  • What are ping packets made of?

    - by Mr. Man
What exactly are in the packets that are sent via the ping command? I was reading a Wikipedia article about magic numbers and saw this: DHCP packets use a "magic cookie" value of '63 82 53 63' at the start of the options section of the packet. This value is included in all DHCP packet types. so what else is in the packets?

  • Damn Small Linux - Setting system-wide proxy

    - by ryanfernandes
I've just installed DSL on virtualbox. The network works fine. However, to connect to the internet, I need to use a proxy with authentication. I can do this in the brower, but I need to allow other command line utilities to access the internet too. Is there a way that I can set a system-wide proxy with authentication information (username/password) on DSL?
