  I'm using tagsoup to clean some HTML I'm scraping from the internet, and I'm getting the following error when parsing through pages with comments: The data "- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - " is not legal for a JDOM comment: Comment data cannot start with a hyphen. • In ExtJS, how do I place two fieldsets side-by-side in a panel with a hbox layout?

  In ExtJS, I'm having a little trouble placing two fieldsets side-by-side in a panel with a hbox layout. The hbox layout seems to be unaware of the fieldset's height, and cuts it off, even if I explicitly set the panel's height to something large. Here's what it looks like: The blue border is the hbox panel, and there's 2 fieldsets inside, 'Client Info' and 'Owner Info'.   I can't seem to get inline Javascript indenting properly in Vim. Consider the following: $(document).ready(function() { // Closing brace correctly indented $("input").focus(function() { $(this).closest("li").addClass("cur-focus"); }); // <-- I had to manually unindent this // Closing brace incorrectly indented $("input").blur(function() { $(this).closest("li").removeClass("cur-focus"); }); // <-- This is what it does by default. Argh! }); Vim seems to insist on automatically indenting the closing brace shown in the second case there. It does the same if I re-indent the whole file. How do I get it to automatically indent using the more standard JS indenting style seen in the first case?

  Now I am developing a firefox extension, can I define a global array in a js with the main xul . and I found when I use it in another js with another xul , it could not worked , so I searched the document of Firefox development. I found a common array can not be transfered between two js files with different xul files. and then I difined a xpcom mutablearray in a js: var eleList = Components.classes["@mozilla.org/array;1"] .createInstance(Components.interfaces.nsIMutableArray); but when I want to use it in another js : it still not work , why?   HI, I started implementing a HTML Browser in Swing. I want to use the Lobo Cobra toolkit because this toolkit inclused a renderer and parser for CSS and JavaScript. The pages are looking very nice and it is easy to use (one class implementation to show a html page). I want to show HTML pages in swing which can show javascript generated and modified objects, like a flashing circle. As far as i know, the cobra toolkit can show static javascript commands like 'document.write' or closwWindow() implementations, but not updating the GUI from a JavaScript. Did someone works with Lobo Cobra Toolkit before and give me some sample code or tips for showing HTML pages with animated JavaScript objects inside.

  I am working on a pretty simple web application (famous last words) and am working with Rails 2.3.5 + MongoMapper 0.7.2 and using embedded documents. I have two questions to ask: First, are there any example applications out there using Rails + MongoMapper + EmbeddedDocument? Preferably on GitHub or some other similar site so that I can take a look at the source and see where I am supposed to head? If not ... ... what is the best way to approach this task? How would I go about creating a form to handle an embedded document. What I am attempting to do is add addresses to users. I can toss up the two models in question if you would like. To load a document into a IHTMLDocument I need to do this: while Doc.readyState <> 'complete' do Application.ProcessMessages; I want not to process all the message queue during the loading, because I would be changing my application flow, in other words, some messages that should be processed after the loading to be completed can be processed earlier, even before the loading end. There is a special message code that the IHTMLDocument expect to advance in the loading process? Or there is another way to load? Thanks.

My intentions is use the tool for a way to quickly generate and test the XAML (of XPS documents) with the intention of then generating the same xaml in code and programmatically generating an XPS document. The same approach that many people use for generating html. Can anyone recommend any of the below products or suggest any others? Better yet does anyone know of a free XPS editor? • 'schema' design for a social network

  I'm working on a proof of concept app for a twitter style social network with about 500k users. I'm unsure of how best to design the 'schema' should I embed a user's subscriptions or have a separate 'subscriptions' collection and use db references? If I embed, I still have to perform a query to get all of a user's followers. e.g. Given the following user: { "username" : "alan", "photo": "123.jpg", "subscriptions" : [ {"username" : "john", "status" : "accepted"}, {"username" : "paul", "status" : "pending"} ] } to find all of alan's subscribers, I'd have to run something like this: db.users.find({'subscriptions.username' : 'alan'}); from a performance point of view, is that any worse or better than having a separate subscriptions collection? also, when displaying a list of subscriptions/subscribers, I am currently having problems with n+1 because the subscription document tells me the username of the target user but not other attributes I may need such as the profile photo. Are there any recommended practices for such situations? thanks Alan

  I have the following requirements I have relational content stored in a SQL Server 2005 database. I want to retrieve this data, transform it and display it in an Excel 2007 document. I would like this to be pulled from within Excel at the click of a button. As far as I can tell I have the following options... Create a view in Sql Server and reference it within a pivot table using a data connection. Create an Excel workbook using VSTO and create a web service which the workbook pulls data from Create a web service and use JScript with XMLHTTP request objects I currently only have a little experience of any of these methods (I'm very familiar with SQL Server although not pivot tables, I've created many web services although I've never used VSTO and I've used javascript extensively, but never in the context of Excel manipulation). Would you recommend one of the above approaches or is there a better way to do this?

  I have a client who has been using WebOffice (from WebEx) for a variety of tasks within their small organization. The problem is that they only really need a small subset of the features WebOffice provides (Contact list, Database, and Document Storage). They've asked me to develop a website focused on these three features with the rationalization that this should be more cost-effective, since they currently aren't using many of the features of WebOffice they pay for. What are some open-source alternatives that I could implement for them? Sharepoint sounds like it would be too bloated and Google Apps may not be as collaborative as they would like.

  I've got a moderately complicated application that has been developed primarily by me, and I'm getting ready to bring a few more developers in, and I'm thinking of various forms of documentation that might be helpful. I want to communicate information about the directory structure/layout of the project so the new guys will know where to look for things when they are getting started and as they add features, know where to put new files etc., so we can keep things organized and consistent. Is there any tool out there can create something a little more sophisticated than just a plain text document? I'm thinking of something that looks similar to Windows Explorer with a directory structure on the left in a panel and then when you click on a particular folder, you would be able to view some text or HTML that describes the folder in the right hand panel. Oh, and development will be done on Windows, but cross platform would be nice.

  I am experiencing a classic JS case (in my opinion) but after a lot of googling, still not able to find a solution. Backslash is considered as a escape character in JS but what you need when you need to pass windows path from the JS and print it? I am using eval because my java applet is executing the code and placing bits when it has a string to evaluate.
