    Hello, I am submitting a form to my mySql database using PHP. I am sending the form data through the mysql_real_escape_string($content); function. When the entry shows up in my database (checking in myPhpAdmin) all of my double quotes and single quotes are escaped. I'm fairly certain this is a PHP configuration issue? so: $content = 'Hi, my name is Jascha and my "favorite" thing to do is sleep'; mysql_real_escape_string($content); $query = 'INSERT INTO DB...' comes up in my database as: Hi, my name is Jascha and my \"favorite" thing to do is sleep Who do I tell what to do?   • Symbol error in java application using netbeans 6.8 when adding a shared project to library

    I have a project which has shared functionality between three other projects and have linked these to existing projects as I normally would using the add project functionality of the libraries folder. This all used to work however when I started up Netbeans yesterday it just wasn't working as in the other projects won't compile even though the projects are linked. It can recognise the packages - just the actual classes themselves were not recognised... and to add to the weirdness some of the classes are getting picked up fine. I have checked the dist folder of the shared project and the Shared.jar file exists. Also I have checked the Jar and the other classes that are not being recognises are there also. Any suggestions? Solution I had to reinstall netbeans to get this solution resolved

  • Adding Polynomials (Linked Lists)......Bug Help

    I have written a program that creates nodes that in this class are parts of polynomials and then the two polynomials get added together to become one polynomial (list of nodes). All my code compiles so the only problem I am having is that the nodes are not inserting into the polynomial via the insert method I have in polynomial.java and when running the program it does create nodes and displays them in the 2x^2 format but when it comes to add the polynomials together it displays o as the polynomials, so if anyone can figure out whats wrong and what I can do to fix it it would be much appreciated.     I have a set of 10 navigationViewControllers i want to the UITabBarController this all just works fine except the fact when i want to see a UINavigationController that is in the "more" tab it doesn't switch to it. it does nothing. if i change that to a UIViewController it just works fine .. ok in the more tab you automatically have a UINavigationController to you disposal but if the user switches the tab's order and its not anymore in the "more" tab you don't have a UINavigationController .. any tips ?

    I'm trying to write an installer for an app I created. I found a suggestion elsewhere that I was trying to follow and it mostly worked. My app is now in the "Open With" list. However, the app won't run at all. Could it be that it's because the app is not being started in its directory, so it can't find the dlls?   • Why is htmlspecialchars adding slashes to my webpage?

    I have my input placed into mySQL through a PDO prepared statement, and have it placed in my website with PHP using htmlspecialchars() to protect against XSS. Only problem is now I get slashes, before any quotes, that are visible on the webpage to the user it only happens when I upload it to the server. Never happens on my localhost. Why is this happening?

    As you can see in my jsFiddle example, I have a diagram that uses jQuery Map Highlight plugin to allow users to click to different parts of the diagram and see the corresponding text to the left. Right now, the only way to interact with the diagram is by clicking on it. I'd like to give users the ability to hit previous and next buttons to control it as well.     Hi all, I have found that user can associate help with his application using Help Viewer. Users typically launch Help Viewer by choosing the application help item from the Help menu, or by typing a query in the Spotlight For Help text field in the Help menu. I have some different requirement: I want to associate component specific help to my application, means that there will be a small '?' marked icon at bottom left corner of a window and when user clicks it, appropriate help page will open. I'm trying to insert reference to the javascript file in the header by using drupal_add_js function. I placed this line inside template preprocess function of template.php. The result....is not working at all. There is no script link in output as it should be. Can anyone tell me what am I doing wrong?   • Adding editFTPnetPRO to SSIS package causes error message

    I'm trying to add some secure FTP code to an SSIS package. I've used the EnterpriseDT product successfully on other .NET projects, so I wanted to incorporate it into an SSIS 2008 package I'm working on. If I create a Script Task (VB), edit the script, choose Project | Add Reference, and select the editFTPnetPRO.dll file, it comes back with this error: No template information found. See the application log in Event Viewer for more details. To open Event Viewer, click Start, click Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Event Viewer. The application log doesn't contain any pertinent details. I have no idea what this is trying to tell me. I've gone down a couple dead ends searching for this error message and following the prescribed fixes, but nothing has fixed it yet. Any idea what might be going wrong? P.S. - I tried the devenv.exe /installvstemplates fix, which didn't change anything. Update: Here is the error captured in the SSIS package when you try to run it: Error: System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. --- System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'edtFTPnetPRO, Version=6.3.1.20, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=0dce1ad63760d80b' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. Where is it looking for this file? I tried copying it to the project direcory, the bin folder, and the C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.nnnn folder, but it still can't find it, and it won't tell me where it's looking.

I am using from_dt as a virtual attribute (string). The 'presence of' and 'format of' validation errors show up on the form, but when the user enters an invalid date format on the form and Date.Parse raises an exception I have a 'errors.add_to_base' statement in the rescue clause. Can anyone tell me why this error does not show up in the form error messages when I disable the 'format of' validation. thanks.

    How do I attach a file with a very unfriendly name (like a file with a session Id number in it) but have it attached as another name?The file has the session ID in it to avoid clashes name on the web server nut when I attach it to the file, a friendlier name is preferable. Is there a way to attach the file with teh unfriendly name as anotehr name so that when the user gets the email he can tell from the name what the content of the file is? I'd hate to have to create a unique folder just to put a common file name in it for the purpose of simply attaching it to an email.
