  • passing multiple vectors to function by reference (using structure)

    - by madman
Hi StackOverflow, Can someone tell me the correct way of passing multiple vectors to a function that can take only a single argument? (specifically for pthread_create (..) function) I tried the following but it does not seem to work :-( First, I created the following structure struct ip2 { void* obj; int dim; int n_s; vector<vector<vector<double> > > *wlist; vector<int> *nrsv; struct model *pModel; }; The threads that I have created actually needs all these parameters. Since im using pthreads_create I put all this in a structure and then passed the pointer to the structure as an argument to pthread_create (as shown). some_fxn() { //some code struct ip2 ip; ip.obj=(void*) this; ip.n_s=n_s; ip.wlist=&wlist; ip.nrsv=&nrsv; ip.pModel=pModel; ip.dim=dim; pthread_create(&callThd1[lcntr], &attr1, &Cls::Entry, (void*) &ip); } The Entry method looks something like this. void* Cls::Entry(void *ip) { struct ip2 *x; x = (struct ip2 *)ip; (reinterpret_cast<Cls1 *>(x->obj))->Run(x->dim,x->n_s, x->wlist, x->nrsv, x->pModel); } The Run method looks something like this. void Run(int dim, int n_c, vector<vector<vector<double> > > *wlist, vector<int> *nrsv, struct model* pModel ) { //some code for(int k = 0; k < n_c; ++k) { //some code end = index + nrsv[k]; //some code } I get the following error when I try to compile the program. error: no match for ‘operator+’ in ‘index + *(((std::vector<int, std::allocator<int> >*)(((unsigned int)k) * 12u)) + nrsv)’ Can someone tell me how to do it the right way. • django filebrowser extensions problem

    - by Borislav
Hi, I've set django filebrowser's debug to True and wrote the extension restrictions in the model. pdf = FileBrowseField("PDF", max_length=200, directory="documents/", extensions=['.pdf', '.doc', '.txt'], format='Document', blank=True, null=True) In django admin it shows correctly with debug info. Directory documents/ Extensions ['.pdf', '.doc', '.txt'] Format Document But when I call the filebrowser, it allows all file extensions to be uploaded. How can I restrict filebrowser to upload only certain filetypes that I want? Thanks everyone

  • Objective-C: properties not being saved or passed

    - by Gerald Yeo
Hi, i'm a newbie to iphone development. I'm doing a navigation-based app, and I'm having trouble passing values to a new view. @interface RootViewController : UITableViewController { NSString *imgurl; NSMutableArray *galleryArray; } @property (nonatomic, retain) NSString *imgurl; @property (nonatomic, retain) NSMutableArray *galleryArray; - (void)showAll; @end #import "RootViewController.h" #import "ScrollView.h" #import "Model.h" #import "JSON/JSON.h" @implementation RootViewController @synthesize galleryArray, imgurl; - (void)viewDidLoad { UIBarButtonItem *showButton = [[[UIBarButtonItem alloc] initWithTitle:NSLocalizedString(@"Show All", @"") style:UIBarButtonItemStyleBordered target:self action:@selector(showAll)] autorelease]; self.navigationItem.rightBarButtonItem = showButton; NSString *jsonString = [[Model sharedInstance] jsonFromURLString:@"http://www.ddbstaging.com/gerald/gallery.php"]; NSDictionary *resultDictionary = [jsonString JSONValue]; if (resultDictionary == nil) { UIAlertView *alert = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:@"Webservice Down" message:@"The webservice you are accessing is currently down. Please try again later." delegate:self cancelButtonTitle:@"OK" otherButtonTitles:nil]; [alert show]; [alert release]; } else { galleryArray = [[NSMutableArray alloc] init]; galleryArray = [resultDictionary valueForKey:@"gallery"]; imgurl = (NSString *)[galleryArray objectAtIndex:0]; NSLog(@" -> %@", galleryArray); NSLog(imgurl); } } - (void)showAll { NSLog(@" -> %@", galleryArray); NSLog(imgurl); ScrollView *controller = [[ScrollView alloc] initWithJSON:galleryArray]; [self.navigationController pushViewController:controller animated:YES]; } The RootViewController startup and the json data loads up fine. I can see it from the first console trace. However, once I click on the Show All button, the app crashes. It doesn't even trace the galleryArray and imgurl properyly. Maybe additional pairs of eyes can spot my mistakes. Any help is greatly appreciated! • JFace Providers and MVC/MVP/etc.

    - by Alexey Romanov
Where do the JFace providers belong in an MVP or MVC architecture? Or should Provider pattern be treated as a different way of View-Model separation? If so, is it the same as the ASP.NET Provider pattern? Is there an article on a proper design of JFace applications using Providers?

  • WDS - Access to network share via local user

    - by Kenny Bones
When installing Windows 7 using WDS, a local user account is used during the set up after the main image of Win7 is installed. And I've got this application that lies on the network and not the deploymentshare itself that I want to install. But logically I get no access to that share via the local user account. Is it possible to do this somehow? Or do I have to move the Share to the Deployment share? Or possibly map the share to a separate drive or something?

  • MVC 2 Validation without BuddyClasses

    - by Muhammad Adeel Zahid
Hello EveryOne, i m using asp.NET MVC 2 for my current project and i need to validate form fields both on client and server side. for that i started with DataAnnotations. Now, i figure out that i have to write buddy class for every model or i have to go to designer generated code and put my annotations there (not a good idea though). if someone can suggest me a solution that helps me avoid writing those buddy classes and get the same functionality. Regards Adeel

  • Amazon EC2 migration from one region to the other

    - by Gnanam
I'm using the following Amazon EC2 resources in the US East (Virginia) region: 1 Running Instance 1 Elastic IP 2 EBS Volumes 100 EBS Snapshots 1 Key Pair 2 Security Groups 5 My Own AMIs (customized based on my application stack) My instance is based on Linux distribution (CentOS) and my AMIs are S3-backed. Both EBS volumes are mounted on this running instance. We're planning to migrate our deployment to US-West region. Because Amazon EC2 resources are not shared across regions, my questions are: What are all the factors that I need to consider in advance? What are all the recommended & different ways of migrating each EC2 resources from one region to the other? Are there any hidden risks involved during and/or after the migration? Experts ideas/suggestions/recommendations on this are highly appreciated.

  • How to change the coordinate origin in Flash's stage with Actionscript?

    - by Petruza
I think I did this before but can't find the code. Flash as many other graphical frameworks use the top-left corner as the coordinate origin (0,0) because it's how the underlying memory model is by convention. But it would be really simpler for my calculations if the origin was in the center of the stage, because all the game revolves around the center and uses a lot of trigonometry, angles, etc. Is there some built-in method like Stage::setOrigin( uint, uint ); or something like that?

  • How to create a CMS web site using OFBiz

I need a simple how-to tutorial on developing a simple CMS web site using the OFBiz CMS framework. There are absolutely no documentation of how OFBiz CMS works. Whatever is there in the official website is only about the data model used in OFBiz CMS application. If somebody can illustrate just a "Hello World" like application in OFBiz CMS, it will great help for me. Or can guide me to similar documents in web.

  • asp.net mvc mixed validation

    - by maxxxee
Can I use IDataError and service layer validation together? I am using IDataError for my my model. However, I need to check for a condition in my service layer. If the condition is not true I need to give the user a validation message so that user can input new values. Is this possible? Anything I need to take care of when attempting this?

  • Why do transfer objects need to implement Serializable?

    - by smaye81
I realized today that I have blindly just followed this requirement for years without ever really asking why. Today, I ran across a NotSerializableException with a model object I created from scratch and I realized enough is enough. I was told this was because of session replication between load-balanced servers, but I know I've seen other objects at session scope that do not implement Serializable. Is this the real reason?

  • How to add objects to association in OnPreInsert, OnPreUpdate

    - by Dmitriy Nagirnyak
Hi, I have an event listener (for Audit Logs) which needs to append audit log entries to the association of the object: public Company : IAuditable { // Other stuff removed for bravety IAuditLog IAuditable.CreateEntry() { var entry = new CompanyAudit(); this.auditLogs.Add(entry); return entry; } public virtual IEnumerable<CompanyAudit> AuditLogs { get { return this.auditLogs } } } The AuditLogs collection is mapped with cascading: public class CompanyMap : ClassMap<Company> { public CompanyMap() { // Id and others removed fro bravety HasMany(x => x.AuditLogs).AsSet() .LazyLoad() .Access.ReadOnlyPropertyThroughCamelCaseField() .Cascade.All(); } } And the listener just asks the auditable object to create log entries so it can update them: internal class AuditEventListener : IPreInsertEventListener, IPreUpdateEventListener { public bool OnPreUpdate(PreUpdateEvent ev) { var audit = ev.Entity as IAuditable; if (audit == null) return false; Log(audit); return false; } public bool OnPreInsert(PreInsertEvent ev) { var audit = ev.Entity as IAuditable; if (audit == null) return false; Log(audit); return false; } private static void LogProperty(IAuditable auditable) { var entry = auditable.CreateAuditEntry(); entry.CreatedAt = DateTime. Now; entry.Who = GetCurrentUser(); // Might potentially execute a query. // Also other information is set for entry here } } The problem with it though is that it throws TransientObjectException when commiting the transaction: NHibernate.TransientObjectException : object references an unsaved transient instance - save the transient instance before flushing. Type: PropConnect.Model.UserAuditLog, Entity: PropConnect.Model.UserAuditLog at NHibernate.Engine.ForeignKeys.GetEntityIdentifierIfNotUnsaved(String entityName, Object entity, ISessionImplementor session) at NHibernate.Type.EntityType.GetIdentifier(Object value, ISessionImplementor session) at NHibernate.Type.ManyToOneType.NullSafeSet(IDbCommand st, Object value, Int32 index, Boolean[] settable, ISessionImplementor session) at NHibernate.Persister.Collection.AbstractCollectionPersister.WriteElement(IDbCommand st, Object elt, Int32 i, ISessionImplementor session) at NHibernate.Persister.Collection.AbstractCollectionPersister.PerformInsert(Object ownerId, IPersistentCollection collection, IExpectation expectation, Object entry, Int32 index, Boolean useBatch, Boolean callable, ISessionImplementor session) at NHibernate.Persister.Collection.AbstractCollectionPersister.Recreate(IPersistentCollection collection, Object id, ISessionImplementor session) at NHibernate.Action.CollectionRecreateAction.Execute() at NHibernate.Engine.ActionQueue.Execute(IExecutable executable) at NHibernate.Engine.ActionQueue.ExecuteActions(IList list) at NHibernate.Engine.ActionQueue.ExecuteActions() at NHibernate.Event.Default.AbstractFlushingEventListener.PerformExecutions(IEventSource session) at NHibernate.Event.Default.DefaultFlushEventListener.OnFlush(FlushEvent event) at NHibernate.Impl.SessionImpl.Flush() at NHibernate.Transaction.AdoTransaction.Commit() As the cascading is set to All I expected NH to handle this. I also tried to modify the collection using state but pretty much the same happens. So the question is what is the last chance to modify object's associations before it gets saved? Thanks, Dmitriy.
