  • Is it okay to programmatically create UITouch and UIEvent objects to emulate touch events?

    I want to simulate some touches on my UI, without using private API. So one simple way to do it is to simply call those -touchesBegan:withEvent:, -touchesMoved:withEvent:, -touchesEnded:WithEvent: and -touchesCancelled:withEvent: methods inside my custom controls. For that, I would have to create UITouch and UIEvent dummy objects with appropriate data inside. Is this fine with them? Or would they reject my app?

For these I would like to create a custom template that allows me to create sub-resources of "Home" with only these five fields (of which one will allow me to upload images). How can I set this up?   • Why does terminal prompt text becomes black when connecting to Ubuntu with Nomachine NX client?

    I'm using Nomachine NX client for Windows to remotely connect to my Ubuntu. Every now and then I experience a strange phenomena: the text in the prompt of all open terminal windows becomes black, so it can't be viewed over the black background. Typed commands are also black, but the results are in normal colors. So I can run stuff, but can't see what I'm typing... After I close all open terminal windows and start a new terminal window, everything goes back to normal. This is rerally annoying and happens quite often. Any idea why?

Built-in XmlSiteMapProvider calls HttpContext.User.IsInRole() which uses System.Security.Principal.GenericPrincipal in case of forms authentication. Where does the current user gets its roles? Which provider loads this kind of information? I want to overload it and use custom logic.

  • pfSense command to delete stale SAD

    I'm experiencing an issue with pfSense where duplicate SAD's are getting created after rekeying, forcing me to manually go ahead and delete the old SAD's. It's not a huge issue but it does get to be a problem once I let it go for a few days. I just installed the cron package for pfSense so I could run a script to identify stale SAD's and delete them but I am not that familiar with BSD or pfSense. Is there a command that enumerates SAD's and their properties, and another that can delete by ID? I can form the conditional parts of the script but I do not know the commands to run. I would imagine it would be something like: Enumerate SAD's Identify Duplicate ones by matching Source and destination IP's Find the one with the larger bytes transferred Delete

  • How do I tell sudo to write files with a umask of 0022?

    I recently upgrading to Snow Leopard. I have noticed that some files written by MacPorts are installed with the wrong permission -- they are written with a umask of 0077. I think I have narrowed down the problem: The port command is invoked via sudo. My .bashrc file specifies a umask of 0077. On older versions of OS X (10.5 and below), sudo used the umask of the root user (which was 0022); however, now it uses my umask of 0077. Is there anyway to have sudo use the old behavior? Right now, it's kind of annoying because I have to use sudo to run simple commands like port installed, port outdated, etc. (The problem is described in more detail in this MacPorts ticket.) Edit I discovered the umask option for sudo, and in /etc/sudoers I added the following line: Defaults umask=0022 However, this did not function as desired, because the real umask used by sudo is the union of the user mask with this default mask.

    I have several dozen Supermicro servers which use the Supermicro Embedded BMC. The documentation on that page suggests that I can access the Serial Over LAN (Serial Console) over SSH: SMASH and CLP support SSH based SOL Power control of the server But when I ssh into my BMC, all I see is a Busybox implementation, with no clear ability to connect to the SOL: # ssh 192.168.100.100 -l ADMIN [email protected]'s password: BusyBox v1.1.3 (2011.02.12-01:48+0000) Built-in shell (ash) Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands. # show -sh: show: not found # smash -sh: smash: not found Supermicro support is giving me inconsistent answers. Is it possible to connect to the SOL via the SSH interface?

  • Connecting to a WSE 3.0 Web Service From a WCF Client

    I'm having difficulty connecting to a 3rd party WSE 3.0 web service from a WCF client. I have implemented the custom binding class as indicated in this KB article: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms734745.aspx The problem seems to have to do with the security assertion used by the web service - UsernameOverTransport. When I attempt to call a method, I get the following exception: System.InvalidOperationException: The 'WseHttpBinding'.'[namespace]' binding for the 'MyWebServiceSoap'.'[namespace]' contract is configured with an authentication mode that requires transport level integrity and confidentiality. However the transport cannot provide integrity and confidentiality.. It is expecting a username, password, and CN number. In the example code supplied to us by the vendor, these credentials are bundled in a Microsoft.Web.Services3.Security.Tokens.UsernameToken. Here's the example supplied by the vendor: MyWebServiceWse proxy = new MyWebServiceWse(); UsernameToken token = new UsernameToken("Username", "password", PasswordOption.SendPlainText); token.Id = "<supplied CN Number>"; proxy.SetClientCredential(token); proxy.SetPolicy(new Policy(new UsernameOverTransportAssertion(), new RequireActionHeaderAssertion())); MyObject mo = proxy.MyMethod(); This works fine from a 2.0 app w/ WSE 3.0 installed. I performed the following commands in the vim source folder: sudo apt-get build-dep vim ./configure --with-features=huge --enable-gui=gtk2 --enable-rubyinterp=yes --enable-pythoninterp=yes make sudo make install I have found that related posts but fail in Ubuntu 13.04 Update: sorry for not providing enough error msg here is the error after do the .configure checking --enable-gui argument... no GUI support How can i let the system to find the GUI library? I have try to do apt-get build-dep vim the gui lib should be included, but no luck what else can i do? i have also tried --enable-gui=<auto, gtk, gtk2, gnome2> all of them show the same error no GUI support...

  • Problem adding subviews (UIButtons) to subclass of UIImageView

    I'm adding a custom button/keypad to my application. Thus far, I have a UIImageView subclass that contains an animation that slides it from the bottom of the screen, and then back down when the user no longer needs it. I'm having trouble adding UIButtons to this UIImageView, however. Since this is a subclass of UIView, I'm attempting to add buttons to my view via the initWithFrame: method. This worked... but it didn't allow the button to function. I am wondering: A.) Is it appropriate to add buttons or any subview for that matter to the UIView initWithFrame: method or should I be adding these subviews as a subview to my buttonPad in the view Controller file? B.) Since I am creating a custom button/keypad, am i following a valid approach by using a normal UIViewController or should I be using something like a modal view Controller? ( I have little knowledge about these.)

  • NSTableView get rid blank space separating columns

    I have an NSTableView with 4 columns. I also have a custom background color for each row. The only problem is I have these ugly white spaces where the gridlines would go in both the horizontal and vertical axis. I have both unchecked in IB, but they still show up. How can I get rid of the vertical ones and change the color and size of the horizontal ones? Here's what I see:

  • Find and hide file extension

    I am trying to find all files that have the same filename (excluding the file extension) that occur 3 times. I also need the full path to the file. What I have currently is #get file without extension alias lse="ls -1R | sed -e 's/\.[a-zA-Z]*$//'" #print out the current dir and get files occuring 3 times lse | sed "s;^;`pwd`/;" | sort | uniq -c | grep " 3 " This runs howver pwd prints the folder I ran the command from not the path to the file. So I tried find find . -type f | sed "s#^.#$(pwd)#" | sort | uniq -c This runs but includes the file extension. When I try to add sed -e 's/\.[a-zA-Z]*$//'" I get errors as I am not sure how to combine the two sed commands and I cannot seem to pipe a second time to sed? so what I am trying to do is find . -type f | sed "s#^.#$(pwd)#" | sed -e 's/\.[a-zA-Z]*$//'"| sort | uniq -c | grep " 3 " but this does not run.

    Lets say I opened file1.txt, file2.txt, file3a.txt and file3b.txt such that the tabline (the thing on the top) looks like this: file1.txt file2.txt 2 file3a.txt (Note how file3b.txt. is missing because it is shown in a split, in the same tab as file3a.txt) To move more quickly between tabs (with <Number>gt), I would like each tab to display its index, along the filename. Like so: 1:<file1.txt> 2:<file2.txt> 3:<2 file3a.txt> The formatting (the angle braces in particular) are optional; I just want the index to appear there (the 1:, 2: and so on). No clues on :h tab-page-commands or google whatsoever.

    I am adding a bmp file to the media store using the line below ContentResolver cr = getContentResolver(); Uri uri = Uri.parse(MediaStore.Images.Media.insertImage(cr, bmp, "name", "now")); I then go to the gallery application and it shows the image, but shows it under "Camera Pictures". Is there a way to change this to its own group, perhaps to its own group? Do I need a custom content provider for this? Thanks.

What does running Word on server implies? In order to get the Word example running, do the following on the server side. Worked for me... 1. Click START--RUN and enter "dcomcnfg" 2. In the "Applications" tab, go down to "Microsoft Word Document" 3. Click PROPERTIES button 4. Go to the "Security" Tab 5. Click "Use custom access permissions", and then click EDIT 6. Click ADD and then click SHOW USERS 7. Highlight the IIS anonymous user account (usually IUSR_), click ADD 8. Go back to the "Security" tab by hitting OK 9. Click "Use custom launch permissions", and the click EDIT 10. Click ADD and then click SHOW USERS 11. Highlight the IIS anonymous user account (usually IUSR_), click ADD 12. Hit OK, and then hit APPLY. Also, you should look at the "Identity" tab in the Microsoft Word Document PROPERTIES and see that it is set to "Interactive User" ALSO, log into the machine AS the IUSR_ account, start word, and make sure to click through the dialog boxes that Word shows the first time it is run for a certain user.
