  • How to handle CSS relative paths in an ASP.NET MVC application.

    I have a master page, which has a style sheet, which has the following line: .idle { background-image: url( '../../Images/blue_bg.png' ); } All my pages inherit from this master page. And this works well when the URL is http://www.domain.com/home/details/5, however the URL is http://www.domain.com/home/create, then, of course, blue_bg.png cannot be found because `../../Images/blue_bg.png' resolves to a directory one higher where there is nothing there. I tried the trick suggested by @codemeit in a similar question, but I can't plop down C# in a style sheet, can I? How is this typically handled?

    Hello everybody I'm using Kohana for so long, but the new Version is a litte bit other. My problem with an example: classes/ controller/ pages.php pages/ imprint.php I want to change my Route so, that if i call domain.tld/pages, the pages.php should called with action_index(). But if i call domain.tld/pages/imprint, pages/imprint.php should called with action_index() (and this should work too: pages/imprint/demo - action_demo() in pages/imprint.php) Tried this with bootstrap and http://kohanaframework.org/guide/api/Route this examples, but cant get it work.   • .htaccess Subfolder Redirect

    Hey Guys & Gals, I recently moved my WordPress website to a subfolder. I want to add a redirect in the .htaccess file so that the links to images I've uploaded originally to ~/wp-content/uploads/ will pass to ~/blog/wp-content/uploads. The .htaccess file must remain in the root folder for WordPress to read it properly. This is what I tried Redirect /wp-content/uploads/ /blog/wp-content/uploads That worked great, except I host other domains on this account, and all of the other domain's upload folders were being redirected in a similar manner. Is there a way to restrict this redirect to just one domain? So that example.com/wp-content/uploads redirects to example.com/blog/wp-content/uploads, but another.com/wp-content/uploads does not?     I am building an ASP.Net MVC app that will run on a shared hosting account to host multiple domains. I started with the default template that includes membership and created an mvc area for each domain. Routing is set up to point to the correct area depending on the domain the request is for. Now I would like to set up membership specific to each mvc area. I tried the obvious first and attempted to override the section of the web.config for each area to change the applicationName attribute of the provider. That doesn't work since the area is not set up as an application root. Is there an easy way to separate the users for each area?

    Searched SO and Everywhere else, including the .net developers guide to directory services programming book - no luck. I am trying to create a simple password reset web page that allows the user to change their password. The change password portion of the code is working fine. For the users I would also like to display when their current password will expire next. Using the sample code from the book mentioned above I was able to get all of the code setup however, the attribute that is returned is always equal to Long.MinValue and hence cannot be inverted to a positive number, plus this means it did not find the proper domain setting. Does anyone have sample code or references for getting the password expiration in a Windows 2008 or R2 domain environment where password policies can be different for each user?

The source IP floating one and assigned to a cluster (consists from 2 servers). Let's say that the physical IP on server1 is 192.0.2.1, on server2 192.0.2.2, and the virtual IP is 192.0.2.3 (and this should be the source IP for outgoing traffic). How can I configure static source IP routing for this in RHEL?

    Hi all I'm trying to use/understand Google request token mechanism. I intend to use it for an application I've start to develop to access Orkut data using OpenSocial API. I read this document that explains the steps to obtain a token for an installed application. This document tells you to use the OAuthGetRequestToken method from Google OAuth API to acquire a request token . Accessing the manual of this function (available here). But the parameter oauth_consumer_key, which is required, asks for the "Domain identifying the third-party web application", but I don,t have a domain, it is an installed application. So my question is, what should I put in this parameter in that case? I'm using oauth_playground to run my tests. Thx

  • MOSS 2007 authentication

    Hi, I have a MOSS web site configured with Windows Integrated Authentication. I added a couple of local users in the server, added them to Sharepoint groups, and I can log into my site (as long as the local user is part of the administrators group... odd). If I add a domain user to the Owners group, I can't access the site with it. Anybody knows what must be done to open access to domain users in a site configured with Windows Authentication or Basic Authentication? Thanks in advance

But, a problem appears when we run a java application J2SE Ver 4, 5 and 6, where it needs internet authentication. Logon to Server-2 is OK, but FAIL for Server-2 (style : [email protected]). If my html template contains the css styles: <div class="margin:10 10 10 0"> <a href="domain.name">Go To</a></div> In this case it works good. But if I send: <a href="domain.name">Go&nbsp;To</a> then I see the letter that comes with broken styles as there (3D is not my misprint) <div style=3D"margin:10 10 10 10;"><a href=3D"www.google.com">Go=C2=A0To</a></div> Well as the letter goes broken when I insert in the template symbols from national alphabets. Somebody can tell what the problem and check with yourself?

    After performing a FormView.InsertItem, I am unable to read the new values from the bound object within the LLBLGenProDataSource that the FormView is bound to. I have tracing turned on, I can see the insert happen, and the data does make it into the database, yet when I examine the contents of LLBLGenProDataSource.EntityCollection(0) (there is only one item in the collection) I do not see the values from the FormView.....yet, they are somehow being inserted into the database.     I am working with a large site trying to implement web parts for particular users in a particular subdirectory but I can't get the .ASPXAUTH cookie to be recognized. The idea is that logged in users can travel the site, but then when they go to their dashboard, they are programmatically authenticated using Membership and FormsAuthentication to pull up their Personalization. When I step through the code, I can see the cookie being set, and that it exists on the following page, but Membership.GetUser() and User.Identity are both empty. I know the user exists because I created it programmatically using Membership.CreateUser() and I can see it when I do Membership.GetAllUsers() and it's online when i use Membership.GetUser(username) but the Personalization doesn't work. Right now, I'm just trying to get the proof of concept going. I've tried creating the ticket and cookie myself, and also using SetAuthCookie() (code follows). I really just need a clue as to what to look for. Here's the "login" page...
