  • Establishing a tcp connection from within a DLL

    - by Nicholas Hollander
    I'm trying to write a piece of code that will allow me to establish a TCP connection from within a DLL file. Here's my situation: I have a ruby application that needs to be able to send and receive data over a socket, but I can not access the native ruby socket methods because of the environment in which it will be running. I can however access a DLL file and run the functions within that, so I figured I would create a wrapper for winsock. Unfortunately, attempting to take a piece of code that should connect to a TCP socket in a normal C++ application throws a slew of LNK2019 errors that I can not for the life of me resolve. This is the method I'm using to connect: //Socket variable SOCKET s; //Establishes a connection to the server int server_connect(char* addr, int port) { //Start up Winsock WSADATA wsadata; int error = WSAStartup(0x0202, &wsadata); //Check if something happened if (error) return -1; //Verify Winock version if (wsadata.wVersion != 0x0202) { //Clean up and close WSACleanup(); return -2; } //Get the information needed to finalize a socket SOCKADDR_IN target; target.sin_family = AF_INET; //Address family internet target.sin_port = _WINSOCKAPI_::htons(port); //Port # target.sin_addr.s_addr = inet_addr(addr); //Create the socket s = socket(AF_INET, SOCK_STREAM, IPPROTO_TCP); if (s == INVALID_SOCKET) { return -3; } //Try connecting if (connect(s, (SOCKADDR *)&target, sizeof(target)) == SOCKET_ERROR) { //Failed to connect return -4; } else { //Success return 1; } } The exact errors that I'm receiving are: Error 1 error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol _closesocket@4 referenced in function _server_disconnect [Project Path] Error 2 error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol _connect@12 referenced in function _server_connect [Project Path] Error 3 error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol _htons@4 referenced in function _server_connect [Project Path] Error 4 error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol _inet_addr@4 referenced in function _server_connect [Project Path] Error 5 error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol _socket@12 referenced in function _server_connect [Project Path] Error 6 error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol _WSAStartup@8 referenced in function _server_connect [Project Path] Error 7 error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol _WSACleanup@0 referenced in function _server_connect [Project Path] Error 8 error LNK1120: 7 unresolved externals [Project Path] 1 1 Many thanks!

  • Netbeans (PHP) catching syntax error on xml declaration

    - by Mike Valeriano
    Hello. I've just installed and configured Netbeans to work with PHP (including xdebug), and almost everything is working as intended, except that I've been getting "errors" in the IDE after I edited the default webpage template to comply with xhtml 1.1. The template is this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="${project.encoding}" ?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=${project.encoding}" /> <title></title> </head> <body> </body> </html> These are the errors I receive (I can't post images yet). Page is created OK, character encoding is inherited from project's settings as expected. It's probably something to do with the xml declaration on top of the document, but I don't really know how to "tune" Netbeans to ignore it and not show the 3 errors on every page I create. The warning is there because NB does not recognize the xhtml 1.1 DTD, so it falls back to html 4.01, which does not support the xmlns attribute in the html tag - and that's the only thing I could find searching around. It will be fixed in the next version, so I'm not worried about it. I know there's nothing wrong with the markup, but there's probably something I'm missing in NB configuration, and I would like to get rid of those messages because they pretty much take all the space I reserve for errors/warnings/tasks. So is there any way I can either make NB recognize this xml declaration or make it ignore these specific "errors"? Thanks.

But my output is totally faulty . Its not able to find the any of the ouput that i need . Where is the bug in this ? I am not able to figure out as the algorithm looks fine .

I first thought that the code was wrong, so i change the info to my gmail account and everything goes fine, with the only SMTP server that i having trouble is with the CMail. Is there a problem with .NET and CMail's SMTP ? Thanks for the help and comments!

Is this something I should worry about? If so, where should I look to find the root of the issue? The app works OK, but I'm just worried that this might be an AppStore approval issue.

    When Atomikos is configured via Spring, a jta.properties or transactions.properties file is not needed. Nonetheless, Atomikos starts up with the follow messages printed to stderr: No properties path set - looking for transactions.properties in classpath... transactions.properties not found - looking for jta.properties in classpath... So I just started learning Haskell, and this (http://learnyouahaskell.com) nifty book is giving a lot of help. So yesterday I wrote in a text file doubleMe x = x + x and saved it as double.hs. So after saving that I open up my command prompt, CD to the right folder, type in "ghci" to get haskell started, and then type in >doubleMe 5 10 and everything seems to work. Now today, I do the same thing and this happens (actual copy paste from command line) . . . Unfortunately this is not WCF/WCF RIA, as I'm inheriting the DB/services from my client. This works perfectly inside of a browser. I'm attempting to move this OOB, and it's at this point that my authentication fails. Here's the steps I took... 1) SL App Properties Enable running app Out of Browser 2) SL App Properties Out of Browser Settings Require elevated trust when running OOB If i set a breakpoint on my logon button click, I see the service call is being made. However, if I step through it (or set a breakpoint on the actual logon web service), the code never gets that far. Here's the block it fails on: public LogonSVC.LogonResponse EndLogon(System.IAsyncResult result) { object[] _args = new object[0]; LogonSVC.LogonResponse _result = ((LogonSVC.LogonResponse)(base.EndInvoke("Logon", _args, result))); return _result; } I know using Elevated Trust means the crossdomain.xml isn't necessary. I dropped one in that allows everything, just to test, and that still fails. here's the code that calls the service: private void loginButton_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { string Username = txtUserName.Text; string Password = txtPassword.Password; Uri iSilverlightServiceUriRelative = new Uri(App.Current.Host.Source, "../Services/Logon.asmx"); EndpointAddress iSilverlightServiceEndpoint = new EndpointAddress(iSilverlightServiceUriRelative); BasicHttpBinding iSilverlightServiceBinding = new BasicHttpBinding(BasicHttpSecurityMode.Transport);// Transport if it's HTTPS:// LogonService = new LogonSVC.LogonSoapClient(iSilverlightServiceBinding, iSilverlightServiceEndpoint); LogonService.LogonCompleted += new EventHandler<LogonSVC.LogonCompletedEventArgs>(LogonService_LogonCompleted); LogonService.LogonAsync(Username, Password); } My LogonService_LogonCompleted doesn't fire either (which makes sense, just a heads up). I don't know how to fiddler this, as this is running OOB with the site served via localhost/IIS. I know this works though in browser, so I'm curious what would break it OOB. Thank you, Scott

  • AudioConverterConvertBuffer problem with insz error

    - by Samuel
    Hi Codegurus, I have a problem with the this function AudioConverterConvertBuffer. Basically I want to convert from this format _ streamFormat.mFormatFlags = kLinearPCMFormatFlagIsSignedInteger | kLinearPCMFormatFlagIsPacked |0 ; _streamFormat.mBitsPerChannel = 16; _streamFormat.mChannelsPerFrame = 2; _streamFormat.mBytesPerPacket = 4; _streamFormat.mBytesPerFrame = 4; _streamFormat.mFramesPerPacket = 1; _streamFormat.mSampleRate = 44100; _streamFormat.mReserved = 0; to this format _streamFormatOutput.mFormatFlags = kLinearPCMFormatFlagIsSignedInteger | kLinearPCMFormatFlagIsPacked|0 ;//| kAudioFormatFlagIsNonInterleaved |0; _streamFormatOutput.mBitsPerChannel = 16; _streamFormatOutput.mChannelsPerFrame = 1; _streamFormatOutput.mBytesPerPacket = 2; _streamFormatOutput.mBytesPerFrame = 2; _streamFormatOutput.mFramesPerPacket = 1; _streamFormatOutput.mSampleRate = 44100; _streamFormatOutput.mReserved = 0; and what i want to do is to extract an audio channel(Left channel or right channel) from an LPCM buffer based on the input format to make it mono in the output format. Some logic code to convert is as follows This is to set the channel map for PCM output file SInt32 channelMap[1] = {0}; status = AudioConverterSetProperty(converter, kAudioConverterChannelMap, sizeof(channelMap), channelMap); and this is to convert the buffer in a while loop AudioBufferList audioBufferList; CMBlockBufferRef blockBuffer; CMSampleBufferGetAudioBufferListWithRetainedBlockBuffer(sampBuffer, NULL, &audioBufferList, sizeof(audioBufferList), NULL, NULL, 0, &blockBuffer); for (int y=0; y<audioBufferList.mNumberBuffers; y++) { AudioBuffer audioBuffer = audioBufferList.mBuffers[y]; //frames = audioBuffer.mData; NSLog(@"the number of channel for buffer number %d is %d",y,audioBuffer.mNumberChannels); NSLog(@"The buffer size is %d",audioBuffer.mDataByteSize); numBytesIO = audioBuffer.mDataByteSize; convertedBuf = malloc(sizeof(char)*numBytesIO); status = AudioConverterConvertBuffer(converter, audioBuffer.mDataByteSize, audioBuffer.mData, &numBytesIO, convertedBuf); char errchar[10]; NSLog(@"status audio converter convert %d",status); if (status != 0) { NSLog(@"Fail conversion"); assert(0); } NSLog(@"Bytes converted %d",numBytesIO); status = AudioFileWriteBytes(mRecordFile, YES, countByteBuf, &numBytesIO, convertedBuf); NSLog(@"status for writebyte %d, bytes written %d",status,numBytesIO); free(convertedBuf); if (numBytesIO != audioBuffer.mDataByteSize) { NSLog(@"Something wrong in writing"); assert(0); } countByteBuf = countByteBuf + numBytesIO; But the insz problem is there... so it cant convert. I would appreciate any input Thanks in advance

    - by Alex
    I have this function: function coin_matrix($test, $revs) { $coin = array(); for ($i = 0; $i < count($test); $i++) { foreach ($revs as $j => $rev) { foreach ($revs as $k => $rev) { if ($j != $k && $test[$i][$j] != null && $test[$i][$k] != null) { $coin[$test[$i][$j]][$test[$i][$k]] += 1 / ($some_var - 1); } } } } return $coin; } where $test = array( array('3'=>'1','5'=>'1'), array('3'=>'2','5'=>'2'), array('3'=>'1','5'=>'2'), array('3'=>'1','5'=>'1')); and $revs = array('3'=>'A','5'=>'B'); the problem is that when I run it, it returns these errors (notices): Notice: Undefined index: 1 at line 10 Notice: Undefined index: 1 at line 10 Notice: Undefined index: 2 at line 10 Notice: Undefined index: 2 at line 10 Notice: Undefined index: 2 at line 10 Notice: Undefined index: 1 at line 10 which is this line: $coin[$test[$i][$j]][$test[$i][$k]] += 1 / ($some_var - 1); Any suggestion is greatly appreciated!   • What is a good method to use with multithreading to simulate this?

    - by user1504257
    I am writing a program in c++ in visual studio to be able to handle a line at a park. I have all of my customers in a line at the park and I want to be able to service them using multithreading with openmp. When I put the pragma and such in, I have multiple threads servicing the same customer at the same time for each and every customer I create, not what I want. I want for example, if I had two threads and four customers, that thread one to do customer one while thread 2 does customer 2. Then I would like thread 1 to do customer 3 and thread 2 customer 4 at the same time. I don't know if its possible or if there is a better way, but I need to use openmp. Thanks for your input.

  • How can I simulate an anchor click via jquery?

    - by prinzdezibel
    I have a problem with faking an anchor click via jQuery: Why does my thickbox appear the first time I click on the input button, but not the second or third time? Here is my code: <input onclick="$('#thickboxId').click();" type="button" value="Click me"> <a id="thickboxId" href="myScript.php" class="thickbox" title="">Link</a> It does always work when I click directly on the link, but not if I try to activate the thickbox via the input button. This is in FF. For Chrome it seems to work every time. Any hints?

  • Error calling webservice from JQuery

    - by Robban
    I have a strange problem when I'm trying to call a simple webservice method from Jquery. Locally it works fine, but on my test-server it does not. The jquery request looks like this (only showing the actual request and not the rest of the method): $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "/Service/Service.asmx/AddTab", data: "tab=" + element.innerHTML, success: function(msg) { alert('success'); } }); When I run this locally from the test-server it works fine, which has me wondering if it could be some setting that I've missed in the IIS. If I navigate to the .asmx file and click the AddTab method I get a list of SOAP 1.1 and SOAP 1.2 XML, but not the HTTP POST request. If I navigate to it locally I get all three (SOAP 1.1, SOAP 1.2 and HTTP Post) The service is set up as follows: [WebService(Namespace = "mynamespace")] [WebServiceBinding(ConformsTo = WsiProfiles.BasicProfile1_1)] [System.ComponentModel.ToolboxItem(false)] [ScriptService()] public class Service : System.Web.Services.WebService { [WebMethod(EnableSession=true)] [ScriptMethod()] public void AddTab(string tab) { //Some code to add a tab which evidently works locally... } } Anyone have a clue what I'm missing here?
