  • AST generation for a an application developed both in visual basic and c#

    Hi, I'm currently understanding one application developed both in visual basic and c#. Running through the code is getting tough as code is around 50KLOC. So i'm planning for generation of AST (abstract syntax tree). Will it be possible to generate for both language together. Atleast a call graph generation will be helpful (but can't find any tool which works for both languages) Please let me know if this question is confusing. Thanks in Advance Dev

  • How to use Spanish characters in Handlebars templates

    I am wondering what the idiomatic way to render special language characters is using Handlebars.js templates. When I render the normal html I can use something like the Spanish lowercase e, &#233, and it renders as expected. When I pass the same text as a string to my Handlebars template I just see the characters &#233. I have tried creating a Handlebars helper that used jquery to render the text using .html() then returning the .html() of the tmp element and I get the same results.

I've been studying ASP.NET 3.5 for a couple of months now and haven't been able to find a service like this for ASP.NET. Any help? A free live chat room for .NET would be of big help too.

    I like the Android platform. Actually, with some friends, we even participate to the ADC with the Spoxt project. But Java is not my favourite language at all. We are working on a S60 version and this platform has a nice Python API. Of course there is nothing official about Python on Android, but since Jython exists, does anybody know a way to let the snake and the robot work together ?

  • Cheapest High Available Web Server [closed]

    I would like to create a high-available setup (e.g. a small cluster) for a webserver, i.e. it will run Apache, PHP and MySQL. There will be between 2-8 small websites running with only very little traffic and workload. High availability is however very important. I don't want to be dependent on 1 datacenter, so there must be a minimum of 2 servers placed in different datacenters, and if one server goes down, the user must experience no or only a minimum of downtime - and no data loss. I have considered Amazon AWS using their Elastic Load Balancing, since it is possible to buy 2 EC2 instances in 2 availability zones and set up load balancing and RDS (Multi-AZ). However this seems rather expensive. Using the AWS price calculator http://calculator.s3.amazonaws.com/calc5.html it totals to 185$/month the first year (including the free tier). Are my calculations incorrect or is there a cheaper way to make this HA setup? Best regards

Type families seems to be the preferred approach among Haskellers, but I've run into a situation where functional dependencies seem like a better fit. Am I missing a trick?     What are some fun programming languages to learn and work with? I'm asking this for absolutely no practical purpose other than just to learn something new. So, what are some fun languages? I already know Python and C# so those don't count (although Python would probably be the first language I'd recommend).   • How do I extract files from one tarball to another tarball in one step?

    I have some fairly large tarball archives, from which I need to extract some files. I will later repack those files to transfer them to another server. Currently that is a two (multi) step process for me: mkdir ttmp tar -vxzf large.tgz -C ttmp/ --strip-components=<INT> <folder-to-be-extracted> or alternatively with wildcards mkdir ttmp tar -vxzf large.tgz -C ttmp/ --strip-components=<INT> \ --wildcards --no-anchored '*pattern*' Then I go ahead and recompress the created folder tar -vczf small.tgz ttmp/* rm -rf ttmp How can I combine these two commands into one? Like this tar -x large.tgz > tar -c small.tgz Just to show, what I already tried: Whenever I search the terms "extract" I will end up here or here or even here. When I use the term "split" I will end up here and that is definitely not what I intend to do. When I use "repack" I end up in strange places.

    Is drupal going to improve the following features ? 1) multi-line description for CCK fields such as images (at the moment I can only write in a line but a text-area would be better 2) thumbnails upload for CCK Video fields (so I can upload a thumbnails for each video if I cannot install ffmpeg on the server) 3) merge CCK Images and Videos in a single group. So my customer can order them in the same list by dragging and dropping them, and in my front-end I have them ordered in the same list. This would be very useful for me.
