  • Generate links for routes with non-parameter url segments on ASP.NET MVC 2

    I have a route defined with several hardcoded (non-parameter) segments: routes.MapRoute(null, "suggestion/list/by/{tag}", new { controller = "Suggestion", action = "List", tag = UrlParameter.Optional }); Suppose I'm in the Index view of SuggestionController, which has a Suggestion object for Model, how can I create a link that matches that route? I'd rather use one of the provided helpers and keep the route name as null in order to avoid hard-coding to much on my views, but I can't figure out how to user these non-parameter segments in Html.ActionLink or RouteLink methods. I've even tried to render the link using plain ol' html <a href="/suggestion/list/by/<%=Model.Tag %>"><%=Model.Tag %></a> but this somehow didn't match the route either. There's probably a very simple solution and I might be over-complicating things in mi mind, but I'm at a loss. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

  • Open an attachment for editing and save changes made to it

    My Lotus Notes document has a rich text item that stores an attachment. I want to edit the attachment and after this to save the attachment back to the Lotus Notes document. This is the script that launches the attachment: @Command([EditGotoField];"Attachment"); @Command([EditSelectAll]); @Command([AttachmentLaunch]); @Command([EditDeselectAll]) This script opens the attachment, but the changes made are not reflected to the Lotus Document. One way of solving this is to add AttachmentActionDefault=2 as an entry to the notes.ini. This enables to edit the attachment when double clicking on attachment. Also using the right click on the attachment, and then choosing edit action, produces the same result. In both cases, after saving, the changes are reflected back to the Lotus Notes document. The problem is that I want to use a button for opening the attachment.

  • UITableViewCell repeating problem

    I have a UItableview with cells. Some cells have uilabels and some have uibuttons. The UIbuttons are created whenever the first character in an array is "^". However, the uibuttons repeat when i scroll down (appearing over the uilabel).. and then multiply over the uilabels when I scroll up. Any clues why?     Hi all, I want to be able to access properties from a json string within my java action method. The string is available by simply saying myJsonString = object.getJson(); Below is an example of what the string can look like: {'title': 'Computing and Information systems','id':1,'children': 'true','groups': [{'title': 'Level one CIS','id':2,'children': 'true','groups':[{'title': 'Intro To Computing and Internet','id':3,'children': 'false','groups':[]}]}]} In this string every json object contains an array of other json objects. The intention is to extract a list of id's where any given object possessing a group property that contains other json objects. I looked at google's Gson as a potential json plugin. I want each title link to lead to the specific article with the parameters like I'm setting in the partial view. Thanks.

  • What could cause a button on a UIActionSheet to "miss" on touches?

    I have a UIActionSheet as follows: UIActionSheet *sheet = [[UIActionSheet alloc] initWithTitle:[NSString stringWithFormat: @"Cancel New %@? Changes will be lost.", [creator propertyName]] delegate:self cancelButtonTitle:@"Stay Here" destructiveButtonTitle:@"Discard and Close" otherButtonTitles:@"Save and Close", nil]; [sheet showInView:self.view]; [sheet release]; It creates the action sheet, The buttons display, the Destructive button is on top, cancel button is on the bottom, other button (save and close) shows up in the middle, the top two buttons, (destructive and other) work fine, but the bottom button has a gap, so it is farther down than the other buttons. For some reason though, in order to press the button I need to touch where it would be if there was no gap. Touching the actual button doesn't work. Sorry if this isn't super clear, has anyone encountered something like this? I don't like to whip out the "I found a bug" card too fast, maybe I'm doing something wrong here.

  • DragDrop registration did not succeed in Setup Project

    Hello, we have some installation project in Visual Studio solution (Other project types - Setup and deployment - Setup project). This project have other library type project with Installation class named InstallationCore like project output. In user action I call to Install and Uninstall functions of installer of InstallationCore. InstallationCore has windows forms for interaction with user. There, in forms, I use Drag and Drop functionality for Drag and Drop text from Tree View to Text Box. But in line: txbUserName.AllowDrop = true; I get error of JIT debugger: Unhandled exception has occured DragDrop registration did not succeed System.InvalidOperationException: DragDrop registration did not succeed And long stack trace after that. Important to say, that when I run Installer function from test project the error did not occur and all work fine. Error occurs only when I run the .msi package. Any suggestions? Thank you for ahead.

    hi, I am facing critical problem for integration of WAS Server-Apache Server.I am using the WAS server for the connection pooling for the database calling...and my webpage is hosted in the apache server and the webpage serarch box is calling the WAS Server and i am using struts frame work for autocomplete action... but it is working in IE of all versions.. but it is not working any browser... the JS file HTTPsuggestions are going to the structs frame work... but the response is is giving as null even i am giving the xmlHttpGetSuggestions.status =200 || xmlHttpGetSuggestions.status =0 but i am not getting the autocomplete feature. can you please help to slove this problem.....     I want to understand event cycles. I have a form with a grid and textboxes. It has a grid, bound to DataTable, and textboxes bound to same table too. I'm trying to debug something and need to know how to identify ALL events fired in the form to see what may solve an issue for me. Anyhow, unless I explicitly subclass every class on my form, and override / attach to every event to my own event handlers, how can I get / listen to all events being fired during a certain action... Such as changing a "Selected" road in a DataGridView. It obviously updates its own "CurrentRow"... I need to know what / how to maybe FORCE a re-loading of SAME CurrentRow. Reason: during a form level "Edit Mode", and I change the content in another "Textbox" control, and reject changes, I need it to simulate the current "Record" is reloaded to go back to its original values.

  • Storing links to internal content pages in ASP.NET MVC

    I'm using a route like this routes.MapRoute( "PageBySlug", RouteType.Regular, "{slug}", new {controller = "Page", action = "Display", slug = "Default"}, null ); to map request to ~/Some-Page-Slug to ~/Page/Display/Some-Page-Slug. When adding content, user can choose to link to existing pages to create references and I then store those links in this format in the datastore: "/Some-Page-Slug". When I run the app in Cassini and pull the link out from datastore and attach it to A tag it looks like this http://localhost:93229/Some-Page-Slug and this link works. But when running the application in virtual directory under some website in IIS, the attached link generates this URL http://localhost/Some-Page-Slug, when it should be http://localhost/virtualdir/Some-Page-Slug. Of course, this generates 404 error. How can I solve this to be universally useful and working under all circumstances? Should I store it differently in the database or should I transform it into correct form in my Views at runtime and how to do that?

Is it bug? If not, then how can i put value to my managed-bean?

    I have a TrackLog that has a collection of TrackPoints: public class TrackLog { public string Name { get; set; } public ISet<TrackPoint> TrackPoints { get; set; } } public class TrackPoint { public DateTime Timestamp { get; set; } public double Latitude { get; set; } public double Longitude { get; set; } } I'd like to map the track points as a collection of components, as this makes the most sense. According to the book NHibernate in Action, on page 187: Collections of components are mapped similarily to other collections of value type instances. The only difference is the use of <composite-element> in place of the familiar <element> tag. How would I do this using Castle ActiveRecord attributes?

    I work at a small company full of software Nerds. Our wives have decided to put a Co-Ed softball team together called "The Nerds", rightfully so. One of the wives happens to be a Graphical Designer, she has come up with the brilliant idea to put Code on the Jersey (How this wasn't my idea, I have no clue). The only rule is, she wants Nerds to be a part of the code. I've been racking my brain to come up with something clever, but really haven't been able to. So I decided to open it up to my online family. Where better to ask than SO? As a simple reward to whomever gets the best answer, I planned on taking a picture of the team in their Jersey's so the winner can see their result in action.

  • I need to know what link is clicked, how do i get these variables with cherrypy?

    Lets say I display 3 links, I want to accomplish 2 things, know which link is clicked, and record this choice in a list/pickle or txt file but also capture this variable in cherrypy so I can perform another action. How do I do this? Its been suggested that I use a query string which makes sense but I can't get the querystring variable to cherrypy to use for further actions. So would anyone have a simple code of cherrypy with lets say 2 pages and have one page display 2 links with a querystring in each and the second page able to get that value?
