• DataSet binding problem

  I've got in-memory dataset with some table defined and I populate this table in a following way: for(...) ds.Fields.AddFieldsRow(++j, 0, heading, "Char", "", "", "Input", 0, "","",""); On the GUI I've got DataGridView bound to that table inside TabControl (bound through BindingSource). Very strange thing is happening: if I open tab pane with this grid and populate table with some data then I see changes in grid. On the other side if I'm at other tab, populate table, and then switch to tab with grid I've got following exception: "DataMember property 'Fields' cannot be found on the DataSource". In similar way I've got 2 tab panes with grid in each that are bound to the same datatable using different datasources and I open one of them, populate, see the changes, then switch to second tab and get crash. What am I missing?

  I have created a table in ms access. I have set the data type of ID to Auto Number in MS-access. In java when I try to update a record. the netBeans IDE gives me the error of " data type missmatch in criteria expression". But when I changed the ID number that was not in the table already it works well. The code is below.   I am trying to access a file I have contained in the jar. • OpenGL game written in C with a Cocoa front-end I want to port to Windows

  Hello, I'm wondering if someone could offer me some tips on how to go about this. I have a MacOS X OpenGL game that is written in very portable C with the exception of the non-game-play GUI. So in Cocoa I set up the window and OpenGL context, manage preferences, registration, listen for keystrokes etc. But all of the drawing and processing of input is handled in nice portable C. So I want to port to Windows. I figured the obvious way to go about was to use the Win32 api. Then I started to read a primer on Win32 and began to wonder if maybe life isn't too short. Can I do this in C# (without converting the backend to C#)? I'd rather devote the time to learning C# than Win32. Any suggestions would be most welcome. I really don't know a lick about Windows. The last version I regularly used was 3.1...

  iOS 4: I have entities in Core Data (using SQLite, which is a requirement) of: Request Response (which has a property personId) Revision Relationships are: Request <-- Revision Request <-- Response Revision <-- Response (e.g. each request may have many responses; each request/response pair may have many revisions) I'm trying to do a predicate to get all Responses with a given personId that have zero Revisions. Using: (personId == %d) && (Request.Revision[SIZE] == 0) in my predicate string gives me a runtime exception "Unsupported function expression Request.Revision[SIZE]" The documentation seems pretty sparse on aggregate functions, only noting that they exist, but with no syntax or examples. Not sure if it's my syntax or if the SIZE function really isn't supported in iOS.

  I have a line of C# in my ASP.NET code behind that looks like this: DropDownList ddlStates = (DropDownList)fvAccountSummary.FindControl("ddlStates"); The DropDownList control is explicitly declared in the markup on the page, not dynamically created. It is inside of a FormView control. When my code hits this line, I am getting an ArithmeticException with the message "Value was either too large or too small for an Int32." This code has worked previously, and is in production right now. I fired up VS2008 to make some changes to the site, but before I changed anything, I got this exception from the page. Anyone seen this one before?

  Is there any way to secure your assembly down to the class/property & class/method level to prevent the using/calling of them from another assembly that isn't signed by our company? I would like to do this without any requirements on strong naming (like using StrongNameIdentityPermission) and stick with how an assembly is signed. I really do not want to resort to using the InternalsVisibleTo attribute as that is not maintainable in a ever changing software ecosystem. For example: Scenario One Foo.dll is signed by my company and Bar.dll is not signed at all. Foo has Class A Bar has Class B Class A has public method GetSomething() Class B tries to call Foo.A.GetSomething() and is rejected Rejected can be an exception or being ignored in someway Scenario Two Foo.dll is signed by my company and Moo.dll is also signed by my company.   I have an Android project that branched into three different applications, app-1, app-2 and app-3, that apply some customizations. Currently there is a lot of code duplication, making maintenance a nightmare: do the changes in one of the branches, and then merge the other two. So we create a library project, named app-core, that factors out most of the duplicated code. So far so good. When I launch this into an emulator where the application was already loaded (before the refactoring), I get this exception: Re-installation failed due to different application signatures A different signature? But I just added a line in the .classpath to link to the app-core Java project! The main question is: are the existing users going to be bothered by this too? And the side question: Why is it a different signature?

  Let's say I have a menu of a prespecified width... I want each menu item to shrink-to-fit with its contents, with the exception of ONE, which then fills up the remaining space in the menu. so like: Fill | item | item | item So far the closest I've come to achieving this effect is by using display:table-cell; in the css code for each menu item. But the problem is unless I define a width for the "item"s, they all expand to take up the same amount of width in the table. Fill | item | item | item | item Is there any way to have the item spaces shrink to fit the item and have the fill just fill up the rest of the div? I might not have asked this very clearly... I'll clarify if needed.

  There are two directories in a clojure project - src/ and test/. There's a file my_methods.clj in the src/calc/ directory which starts with (ns calc.my_methods...). I want to create a test file for it in test directory - test/my_methods-test.clj (ns test.my_methods-test (:require [calc.my_methods]) (:use clojure.test)) In the $CLASSPATH there are both project root directory and src/ directory. But the exception is still "Could not locate calc/my_methods__init.class or calc/my_methods.clj on classpath". What is the problem with requiring it in the test file? echo $CLASSPATH gives this: ~/project:~/project/src

• Forcing an app to run single core only?

  I have this strange issue with some third party DLL's. The third party provider references some open source DLL's that have a memory exception whenever I try to use a certain method. This issue does not appear when the app is run on a single core machine, but obviously we cannot assume a user will have that. Is there a way to force an app, or even better yet a referenced DLL to run on a single core? Any other way to possibly fix this? Getting the third party to rebuild the OS dll's is apparently out of the question (its a bit of a sore spot with me currently :) ) so I have to handle it myself or just forget about providing this functionality.
