  I'm creating a iPhone app, and im trying to figure out how to create a JSON request to the webservice that contains parameters. In Java this would look like this HashMap<String, String> headers = new HashMap<String, String>(); JSONObject json = new JSONObject(); json.put("nid", null); json.put("vocab", null); json.put("inturl", testoverview); json.put("mail", username); // [email protected] json.put("md5pw", password); // donkeykong headers.put("X-FBR-App", json.toString()); The header has to contain a JSON object and "X-FBR-App" before the service recognizes the request.   I've been trying to translate a Google OAuth 2 example from C# to Vb.net for a co-worker's project. And as a read/write test, to me it looks a bit pointless to read the same integer over and over (if I understand well what's going on in the Stream Read/Write) Wouldn't it be better to read int's from the previously written file and just read and write ints on the same place? Is there a better way to illustrate it? I've been breaking my head about a lot of these things for a while and I just can't get the whole picture..

• GWT serialization issue

  I am having a heck of a time returning an ArrayList of objects that implement IsSerializable via RPC. The IsSerializable pojo contains one variable, a String, and has a 0 parameter constructor. I have removed the .gwt.rpc file from my war and still I get: com.google.gwt.user.client.rpc.SerializationException: Type 'com.test.myApp.client.model.Test' was not included in the set of types which can be serialized by this SerializationPolicy or its Class object could not be loaded. For security purposes, this type will not be serialized.: instance = com.test.myApp.client.model.Test@17a9692 at com.google.gwt.user.server.rpc.impl.ServerSerializationStreamWriter.serialize(ServerSerializationStreamWriter.java:610) I am using GWT 2.0.2 with jdk 1.6.0_18. Any ideas on what might be going on or what I am doing wrong? Here is the code for the Test class and the remote method is returning ArrayList. • HttpTransportSE requestDump gives NullPointerException

  Hi, I'm trying to access a webservice in Android via Ksoap2 for android. The SoapObject is created ok, the S.o.p of the bodyOut outputs the desired strings. But when I do a requestDump of the HttpTransportSE object I create to make the call, a NullPointerException happens. In other words, the transport object is null. How can this happen?   The standard getUrlContent works welll when there is no firewall. But I got exceptions when I try to do it behind a firewall. I've tried to set "http proxy server" in AVD manager, but it didn't work.   hello all when i run the command to generate Localizable.string file from my terminal it says me bad entry in to the classes file the file gets generated but it has no entry in it infact it should have entry in it. I just don't know where to put the text file. I cannot use a "hard coded" path because the text file needs to be included with my app... • DataTable to JSON

  I recently needed to serialize a datatable to JSON. Where I'm at we're still on .Net 2.0, so I can't use the JSON serializer in .Net 3.5. I figured this must have been done before, so I went looking online and found a number of different options. Some of them depend on an additional library, which I would have a hard time pushing through here. Others require first converting to List<Dictionary<>>, which seemed a little awkward and needless. Another treated all values like a string. For one reason or another I couldn't really get behind any of them, so I decided to roll my own, which is posted below. As you can see from reading the //TODO comments, it's incomplete in a few places. This code is already in production here, so it does "work" in the basic sense. The places where it's incomplete are places where we know our production data won't currently hit it (no timespans or byte arrays in the db).
