• Why is Firefox prompting to download a file that is POST'd to?

  This is the most peculiar thing. It is from an old in house CMS. When I attempt to submit my changes, it prompts to save the file linked in the action attribute of the form. • Why would certain browsers request all pages on my ASP.Net Web site twice?

  Firefox is issuing duplicate requests to my ASP.Net web site. It will request a page, get the response, then immediately issue the same request again (well, almost the same -- see below). This happens on every page of this particular Web site (but not any others). IE does not do this, but Chrome also does this. I have confirmed that there is no Location header in the response, and no Javascript or meta tag in the page which would cause the page to be re-requested (if any of these were true, IE would be re-requesting pages as well). I have confirmed this behavior on multiple Firefox installs on multiple machines. Versions vary, but all are 3.x. The only difference between the two requests is the Accepts header. For the first request, it looks like this: Accept: text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,*/*;q=0.8 For the second request, it looks like this: Accept: */* The Content-Type response header in all cases is: Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Something else odd -- even though Firefox requests the page twice, it uses the first response and discards the second. I put a counter on a page that increments with every request. I can watch the responses come back (via the Charles proxy). Firefox will get a "1" the first time, and a "2" the second time. Yet it will display the "1," for some reason. Chrome exhibits this exact same behavior. I suspect it's a protocol-level issue, given the difference in Accepts header, but I've never seen this before.

Instead, it just display a simple EditText text box. I wonder what is going wrong. Is it because I put a layout inside another layout? I don't think there is any problem with that right?

  I have this data from a xml file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <words> <id>...</id> <word>...</word> <meaning>...</meaning> <translation> <ES>...</ES> <PT>...</PT> </translation> </words> This forms the table named "words", which has four fields ("id","word","meaning" and "translation"). On the other hand, the "translation" field can hold several languages like ES,PT,EN,JA,KO,etc... So I create a table ("words.translation", one field is "id" and the others ones are languages ids like "ES","PT",...). I'm sorry for this newby question, but I'd like to know a couple of things about this one-to-many relationship. How to join (or link?) this two tables in MySQL? What information does the "translation" field in the "words" table has to store? How is the sql query to get all the word information (JOIN syntax used?) Thanks for your patience.

• How to vertically align text in a button with a background drawable?

  I had a simple button set up with a background image defined like android:background="?attr/button" where ?attr/button was a reference to a simple 9-patch png. Everything worked fine, text in the button was aligned correctly. Then I needed to have a different background for a pressed state of the button. So I changed that to android:background="@drawable/state_button" where @drawable/state_button is an xml with the following states <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <selector xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"> <item android:state_pressed="true" android:drawable="@drawable/button_pressed" /> <!-- pressed --> <item android:state_focused="true" android:drawable="@drawable/button_pressed" /> <!-- focused --> <item android:drawable="@drawable/button" /> <!-- default --> </selector> And after that I can't align the text properly. If I put android:gravity="center_vertical" the text is drawn about 1/4 of the button height from the top. I double-checked my 9-patch images, everything seems fine with them. And I also tried having regular pngs for the background, it also doesn't change anything.

• Where is the taglib definition of PrimeFaces 4?

  I am looking around how to define custom components in JSF. According to the Java EE tutorial, any custom component needs to be described in a taglib. When I take a look into the PrimeFaces source, I cannot find any taglib file or any hint where the namespace is bound and the available components are defined. I am adding primefaces jar to my dependencies, adding xmlns:p="http://primefaces.org/ui to the xml namespace, defining some primfaces components on my page and it works... Ok, but neither I can find the related taglib in the source or binary package nor my IDE (IntelliJ) is able to find where "xmlns:p="http://primefaces.org/ui" is pointing to. Therefore, code completion is also not possible. (all other mojarra taglibs are found.) Is it possible that PrimeFaces is defining the taglib via annotations directly in Java classes or is it generating it during runtime? I can easily find the UIComponents, primefaces defines in its source, but the configuration of the taglib seems to be missing. I am sure I just don't know how PrimeFaces is doing it, but the javaeetutorial is not describing any other opportunity than defining a ...-taglib.xml

  Hello everyone, I am using VSTS 2008 + C# + WCF + .Net 3.5 + Silverlight 3.0. I host Silverlight control in an html page and debug it from VSTS 2008 (press F5, then run in VSTS 2008 built-in ASP.Net development web server), then call another WCF service (hosted in another machine running IIS 7.0 + Vista). The WCF service is very simple, just return a constant string to client. When invoking the WCF service from Silverlight, I got the following error message, An error occurred while trying to make a request to URI 'https://LabTest/Test.svc'. This could be due to attempting to access a service in a cross-domain way without a proper cross-domain policy in place, or a policy that is unsuitable for SOAP services. You may need to contact the owner of the service to publish a cross-domain policy file and to ensure it allows SOAP-related HTTP headers to be sent. This error may also be caused by using internal types in the web service proxy without using the InternalsVisibleToAttribute attribute. Please see the inner exception for more details. • XSL - How to match consecutive comma-separated tags

  I'm trying to match a series of xml tags that are comma separated, and to then apply an xslt transformation on the whole group of nodes plus text. For example, given the following partial XML: <p>Some text here <xref id="1">1</xref>, <xref id="2">2</xref>, <xref id="3">3</xref>. </p> I would like to end up with: <p>Some text here ^1,2,3.</p> A much messier alternate would also be acceptable at this point: <p>Some text here ¹^,²^,³.</p> I have the transformation to go from a single xref to a sup: <xsl:template match="xref""> ^{<xsl:apply-templates/>} </xsl:template> But I'm at a loss as to how to match a group of nodes separated by commas. So, we modified our usual contract to RETURN -1 on error and default to RETURN 0 if no error If the code hits the inner catch block, then the RETURN code default to -4. • How can I generate a FindBugs report that shows me the bugs removed between two revisions in the bug

  I am attempting to execute a combination of the FindBugs commands filterBugs and convertXmlToText, against a bug database that I created, to generate a report that shows me the all of the bugs removed between two revisions of the system that I am working on. Unfortunately, the resulting report does not show any bug details. It appears that the convertXmlToText throws away all bugs that are dead (aka inactive)... the exact set of bugs that I'd like to see. • Rails select box in form decides on create action in controller?

  Hi Everyone? I am trying to add a select box to the base of my create form that decides if an action runs from the controller...if that makes any sense? Basically the application creates a project in FreeagentCentral whenever a new project is made: def create @company = Company.find(params[:kase][:company_id]) @kase = @company.kases.create!(params[:kase]) respond_to do |format| params[:send_to_freeagent] ? @kase.create_freeagent_project(current_user) #flash[:notice] = 'Case was successfully created.' flash[:notice] = fading_flash_message("Case was successfully created.", 5) format.html { redirect_to(@kase) } format.xml { render :xml => @kase, :status => :created, :location => @kase } end end and within my form I have: <%= check_box_tag :send_to_freeagent, 1 % Create project in Freeagent? What I would like to happen, is if the select box is checked the project is sent to Freeagent. If not, the case just gets created locally as normal but without the Freeagent data being sent. If I use the above code, I get an exception caught error: SyntaxError in KasesController#new controllers/kases_controller.rb:114: syntax error, unexpected '\n' Any idea what I am doing wrong, also is it possible to make the check boxes checked as default?   I have a client and server, client sending file to server. When i transfer files on my computer(in local) everything is ok(try to sen file over 700mb). When i try to sent file use Internet to my friend in the end of sending appears error on server "Input string is not in correct format".This error appears in this expression fSize = Convert::ToUInt64(tokenes[0]); - and i don't mind wht it's appear. • Javascript + PHP $_POST array empty

  While trying to send a POST request via xmlhttp.open("POST", "url", true) (javascript) to the server I get an empty $_POST array. Firebug shows that the data is being sent. Here is the data string from Firebug: a=1&q=151a45a150.... But $_POST['q'] returns nothing. The interesting thing is that file_get_contents('php://input') does have my data (the string above), but PHP somehow doesn't recognize it. Tried both $_POST and $_REQUEST, nothing works.   How do I apply a parameter to a select and order attribute in a xsl:sort element?   Hi, I have an ASP.NET webform that has a listbox (lbxRegions) with multi-select option enabled. In my db, I have a table with an xml field that holds a list of regions. I need to populate the listbox with all available regions and then "check off" the list items that match the regions in the db table. The list options also need to be ordered by region name. So, I wrote the following code that works just fine -- no problems. But I was wondering if anyone can think of a better (more succinct, more efficient) way to have done the same thing. • Adobe Air update error "file version doesn't match" but it's the same!...

  I'm using Claus Wahlers' AIR Remote Updater class (codeazur.com.br/lab/airremoteupdater/). All works fine and an update is triggered if the remote version is newer. The newer file is downloaded and the update starts. However I then get "an error has occured" message: "This application cannot be installed because this installer has been mis-configured" (The same file will update without errors when run manually "Would you like to replace the currently installed version?" Choosing 'replace' works fine) I have enabled Air Application Installer logging and I can see that both the app id and the pub id match - this seems to be a common reason for this problem (forums.adobe.com/thread/243421?tstart=60) The error given in the log file is as follows: AIR file version doesn't match Requested version: ; AIR file version: 1.0.2 But if I unzip the new app file and look at META-INF\AIR\application.xml the version designator shows <version>1.0.2</version> As requested! The log file is also showing me where the newer file is being downloaded and unpacked. If I look at the application.xml file in that directory: Unpackaging to C:\Documents and Settings\myusername\Local Settings\Temp\fla893D.tmp the version designator also shows <version>1.0.2</version> I don't get it?! The log tells me that the requested file version doesn't match but it's exactly the same as what's shown in the version designator of the downloaded update package... This is driving me crazy. Can anyone help?

  I want to use image in a group definded in defs tag. But on Chrome nothing works. In Firefox only the .png file is displayd. Only Rectangle apears but with strange bug in Chrome.
