• multipart file-upload post request from java

  I'm trying to make a program that uploads a image to a webserver that accepts multipart file-uploads. More specificly i want to make a http POST request to http://iqs.me that sends a file in the variable "pic". I've made a lot of tries but i don't know if i've even been close. The hardest part seems to be to get a HttpURLConnection to make a request of the type POST. The response i get looks like it makes a GET. My problem is while i am inserting duplicate name in table the control should go to else part, and display the message like...This name is already exits, pls try with another name... but in my coding not getting..... • Suggestions on how to map from Domain (ORM) objects to Data Transfer Objects (DTO)

  The current system that I am working on makes use of Castle Activerecord to provide ORM (Object Relational Mapping) between the Domain objects and the database. This is all well and good and at most times actually works well! The problem comes about with Castle Activerecords support for asynchronous execution, well, more specifically the SessionScope that manages the session that objects belong to. Long story short, bad stuff happens! We are therefore looking for a way to easily convert (think automagically) from the Domain objects (who know that a DB exists and care) to the DTO object (who know nothing about the DB and care not for sessions, mapping attributes or all thing ORM). Does anyone have suggestions on doing this. For the start I am looking for a basic One to One mapping of object. Domain object Person will be mapped to say PersonDTO. I do not want to do this manually since it is a waste. Obviously reflection comes to mind, but I am hoping with some of the better IT knowledge floating around this site that "cooler" will be suggested. Oh, I am working in C#, the ORM objects as said before a mapped with Castle ActiveRecord. Example code: By @ajmastrean's request I have linked to an example that I have (badly) mocked together. The example has a capture form, capture form controller, domain objects, activerecord repository and an async helper. It is slightly big (3MB) because I included the ActiveRecored dll's needed to get it running. You will need to create a database called ActiveRecordAsync on your local machine or just change the .config file. Basic details of example: The Capture Form The capture form has a reference to the contoller private CompanyCaptureController MyController { get; set; } On initialise of the form it calls MyController.Load() private void InitForm () { MyController = new CompanyCaptureController(this); MyController.Load(); } This will return back to a method called LoadComplete() public void LoadCompleted (Company loadCompany) { _context.Post(delegate { CurrentItem = loadCompany; bindingSource.DataSource = CurrentItem; bindingSource.ResetCurrentItem(); //TOTO: This line will thow the exception since the session scope used to fetch loadCompany is now gone. grdEmployees.DataSource = loadCompany.Employees; }, null); } } this is where the "bad stuff" occurs, since we are using the child list of Company that is set as Lazy load.   I'm attempting to extract the following data from a table via Android / JSOUP however I'm having a bit of trouble nailing down the process. I think I'm getting close to being able to do this using the code I've provided below - but for some reason I still cannot get my textview to display any of the table data. P.S.   I'm in a struggle with the DataGridView: I do have a BindingList of some simple objects that implement INotifyPropertyChanged. The DataGridView's datasource is set to this BindingList. Now I need to add an object to the list by hitting the "+" key. When an object is added, it should appear as a new row and it shall become the current row. As the CurrentRow-property is readonly, I iterate through all rows, check if its bound item is the newly created object, and if it is, I set this row to "Selected = true;" The problem: although the new object and thereby a new row gets inserted and selected in the DataGridView, it still is not the CurrentRow! It does not become the CurrentRow unless I do a mouse click into this new row. In this test program you can add new objects (and thereby rows) with the "+" key, and with the "i" key the data-bound object of the CurrentRow is shown in a MessageBox. How can I make a newly added object become the CurrentObject? Thanks for your help! • PHP $_GET and $_POST are returning empty arrays--trying to paginate SQL data

  I have set up the following: Database class ($db) Pagination class ($paginator) I am attempting to write a basic system to let me administrate pages. I have a page "page_manager.php" in which I include both my database class (database.php) and my pagination class (paginate.php). In my pagination class I have a function which echoes my SQL data. I've come up with a way to echo an HTML < select element with the necessary IDs, which allows me to successfully echo the corresponding results (10 per page), based on the value of the < select element. So, "1" will echo the first 10 results in the database, "2" will echo from 11-20, "3" will echo from 21-30, etc., etc.. I have added an onChange event to the < select element which will copy its value (using "this.value") to a hidden form field. I then submit this form using document.getElementById().submit(); This will then add the $_GET variable to the URL, so the URL becomes ".../?pagenumber_form=X". However, when I try to grab this value back from the URL, the $_GET['pagenumber_form'] is empty. My site structure is like this: index.php - JavaScript buttons use AJAX HTTP requests to include the "responseText" as the .innerHTML of my main < div . The "responseText" is the contents the page itself, in this case page_manager.php, which in turn includes pagination.php.   I am using a Winforms webbrowser control to display HTML content stored in my SQL DB table. However, some of my contents are PDFs which I intend to store as binary data in the SQL DB and feed to the Webbrowser control. I wish to avoid the hassle of storing the binary content in a temporary file on the client machine and then create html container code to reference this temporary PDF file. Is there a way inwhich I can embed the PDF binary content into the html directly and show this html on the webbrowser control directly? I found these previous threads referring to a COM 'hack'.   Hi, I'm trying to print out raw ascii data to a thermal printer. I do this by using this code example: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/322091 but my printer prints always only one character and this not until I press the form feed button. If I print something with notepad the printer will do a form feed automatically but without printing any text. The printer is connected via usb over a lpt2usb adapter and Windows 7 uses the "Generic - Generic / Text Only" driver. Anyone knows what is going wrong? How is it possible to print some words and do some form feeds? Are there some control characters I have to send? And if yes: How do I send them? Thanks!

• Android ListView: get data index of visible item

  I have an Android ListView created with a SimpleAdapter that has more items in it than fit in the screen. After the list has been scrolled, I need to get the position in the data model of the first visible item in the list. Basically I want a function like: listView.getChildAt(0).getPositionInDataModel(). Adapter has a few functions in it, like getItemId(position) that looked useful; however, the SimpleAdapter implementation just returns the passed in position, not a row id like I'd hoped. A brute force solution would be to get the View at index 0, and compare it to the view for each item in the adapter. However, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to get the view for a particular position from the adapter. Anyone have any thoughts?

  Hi all, I have a class A which is a subclass of uitableviewcontroller and one more class B which actually displays my tableview with its content is a subclass of A. There's an xml parser which parses my xml and stores the content in an nsmutablearray of application delegate. Now, I fetch this delegate array into a local nsmutablearray in class B to minimise the communication between the two classes i.e. delegate and class B and display that. After certain condition is met in class A, I'm calling xml parser to refill the delegate array and I'm calling class B's tableview reload method. The problem is when I call the tableview's reload data, class B's delegate methods are called. But before that I need to grab this delegate array in local array in class B. How shall I do that?   I've just started looking at soapUI, and it seems to be a pretty good web service testing tool. It can automatically generate request SOAP messages with all the elements from the WSDL in there, no problem. However, what would be splendid is if it could automatically generate sample random input data, using the WSDL as a guide. For example, if my service is expecting a string, an enumeration, and a date-time, it seems like it wouldn't be too hard for the tool to generate one or more messages with valid values. Is such a feature available in soapUI, either natively or as a plug-in, or am I over-simplifying this?

• WPD MTP data stream hanging on Release

  I've come across a weird problem when reading data from a MTP-compatible mobile device using the WPD (Windows Portable Devices) API, under Windows 8 (not tried any other Windows versions yet). The symptom is, when calling Release on an IStream interface obtained via the IPortableDeviceResources::GetStream function, occasionally the Release call will hang and not return until the device is disconnected from the PC. After some experimentation I've discovered that this never happens as long as the entire contents of the stream have been read. But if the stream has only been partially read (say, the first 256Kb of the file), it can happen seemingly at random (although quite frequently). This has been reproduced with an iPhone and a Windows Phone 8 mobile, so it does not seem to be device-specific. Has anyone come across this sort of issue before? And more importantly, does anyone know of a way to solve it other than by always reading the entire contents of the stream? Thanks!

  I have a new table I'm going to add to a bunch of other summarized data, basically to take some of the load off by calculating weekly avgs. My question is whether I would be better off with one model over the other. One model with days of the week as a column with an additional column for price or another model as a series of fields for the DOW each taking a price.   Is it possible to merge FDF data with a PDF file using PHP alone? Or is there no option but to use a 3rd party command line tool to achieve this? If that is the case can someone point me in the direction of one? I am currently outputting the FDF file to the browser in the hope that it will redirect the user to the filled in PDF but for some people that is not the case. • UIImagePickerController and extracting EXIF data from existing photos

  It's well known that UIImagePickerController doesn't return the metadata of the photo after selection. However, a couple of apps in the app store (Mobile Fotos, PixelPipe) seem to be able to read the original files and the EXIF data stored within them, enabling the app to extract the geodata from the selected photo. They seem to do this by reading the original file from the /private/var/mobile/Media/DCIM/100APPLE/ folder and running it through an EXIF library. However, I can't work out a way of matching a photo returned from the UIImagePickerController to a file on disk. I've explored file sizes, but the original file is a JPEG, whilst the returned image is a raw UIImage, making it impossible to know the file size of the image that was selected. I'm considering making a table of hashes and matching against the first x pixels of each image. This seems a bit over the top though, and probably quite slow. Any suggestions?
