• C# Nested Repeater Accessing elements

  I have a list of Accommodation objects bound to a Repeater, and then a nested Repeater which has the various attendee groups listed [e.g. Default, Seniors, Juniors]. This is all output fine, with the values displayed as LinkButtons, which when clicked gets sent to a code-behind event handler. Here is an example of the output to give you a picture [with some er... interesting attendee group names]: In the event handler, I test the object parameter to see which Repeater has been sent, as the outer repeater's links can also be clicked [so the Accommodation would be set, but no Attendee Group]. Is there a way to get a HiddenField from the outer RepeaterItem that contains the currently clicked inner repeater's LinkButton? E.g. From the image, I click the Attending link in the Women section. So the EventArgs via FindControl can get me the hidden field which contains the Attendee Group's ID, which is good, but I also need the Accommodation ID [to know whether it was either Wimbledon Hotel Inn or New Acc]

  I have a webserver (Ubuntu 12.04 with LAMP) using Virtualmin / Webmin. Because I just moved from a Cpanel system, I am having a nightmare configuring the DNS! Using intoDNS.com, the failed reports are: Mismatched NS records WARNING: One or more of your nameservers did not return any of your NS records. DNS servers responded ERROR: One or more of your nameservers did not respond: The ones that did not respond are: 123.123.123.123 213.251.188.141x Multiple Nameservers ERROR: Looks like you have less than 2 nameservers. According to RFC2182 section 5 you must have at least 3 nameservers, and no more than 7. Having 2 nameservers is also ok by me. Missing nameservers reported by your nameserver You should already know that your NS records at your nameservers are missing, so here it is again: ns1.mydomain.com. sdns2.ovh.net. SOA record No valid SOA record came back! MX Records WWW A Record ERROR: I could not get any A records for www.mydomain.com! Step-by-Step of my Attempt In my domain registrar (Namecheap), I registered ns1.mydomain.com as a nameserver, pointing to the IP address of my web server which is running bind9. The domain is setup with DNS ns1.mydomain.com and sdns2.ovh.net. sdns2.ovh.net is a secondary DNS server (SLAVE and pointing mydomain.com to the IP address of my web server) Webserver domain: mydomain.com Webserver hostname: ns4000000.ip-123-123-123.net Webserver IP: 123.123.123.123 Under Virtualmin, I edited the default Virtual server template, BIND DNS records for new domains: ns1.mydomain.com Master DNS server hostname: ns1.mydomain.com Next I created a Virtual server using that server template. • Ruby - Call method passing values of array as each parameter

  I'm currently stuck on this problem. I've hooked into the method_missing function in a class I've made. When a function is called that doesn't exist, I want to call another function I know exists, passing the args array as all of the parameters to the second function. Does anyone know a way to do this?   There exists an unknown target location (latitude and longitude co-ordinates). I have 3 latitude and longitude co-ordinate pairs and for each pair a distance in kilometers to the target location. How can I calculate the co-ordinates of the target location? For example, say I have the following data points 37.418436,-121.963477 0.265710701754km 37.417243,-121.961889 0.234592423446km 37.418692,-121.960194 0.0548954278262km What I'd like is what would the guts of the function that takes that as input and returns 37.417959,-121.961954 as output look like? I understand how to calculate the distance between two points, from http://www.movable-type.co.uk/scripts/latlong.html I understand the general principle that with three circles you get exactly one point of overlap. What I'm hazy on is the math needed to calculate that point with this input.

• Windows TCP connection - Still alive after process terminate

  Hi People, I run a license server in linux and a process in Windows to check out tokens from it. It does a tcp socket connection to server to communicate and once the process in Windows is closed, the tokens are checked in back to server. But I see sometime the connection show as established in netstat output even when process in Windows is terminated. This happens when the process in Windows is running for a long time and terminate. It takes 2-3 hours for the connection to go away in neststat output. TCP BABDT350:4505 180.190.40.34:51847 ESTABLISHED 2832 [app.EXE] Can you guys tell me is this is a network stack configuration issue in Windows? Is it possible for the connection to go away once process terminate? Please let me know your answers to this.

• How to generate all variations with repetitions of a string?

  I want to generate all variations with repetitions of a string in C++ and I'd highly prefer a non-recursive algorithm. I've come up with a recursive algorithm in the past but due to the complexity (r^n) I'd like to see an iterative approach. I'm quite surprised that I wasn't able to find a solution to this problem anywhere on the web or on StackOverflow. • C# and MySQL .NET Connector - Any way of preventing SQL Injection attacks in a generic class?

  My idea is to create some generic classes for Insert/Update/Select via a C# (3.5) Winforms app talking with a MySQL database via MySQL .NET Connector 6.2.2. For example: public void Insert(string strSQL) { if (this.OpenConnection() == true) { MySqlCommand cmd = new MySqlCommand(strSQL, connection); cmd.ExecuteNonQuery(); this.CloseConnection(); } } Then from anywhere in the program I can run a query with/without user input by just passing a SQL query string. Reading around on SO is starting to give me the indication that this may lead to SQL injection attacks (for any user-input values). Is there anyway of scrubbing the inputted strSQL or do I need to go and create individual parameterized queries in every method that needs to do a database function?

• Looking for SQL Server Performance Monitor Tools

  I may be approaching this problem from the wrong angle but what I'm thinking of is some kind of performance monitor tool for SQl server that works in a similar way to code performance tools, e.g. I;d like to see an output of how many times each stored procedure was called, average executuion time and possibly various resource usage stats such as cache/index utilisation, resultign disk access and table scans, etc. As far as I can tell the performance monitor that comes with SQL Server just logs the various calls but doesn't report he variosu stats I'm looking for. Potentially I just need a tool to analyze the log output?

  I am running array jobs with Sun Grid Engine (SGE). My carefully scripted array job workers generate no stdout and no stderr when they function properly. Unfortunately, SGE insists on creating an empty stdout and stderr file for each run. Sun's manual states: STDOUT and STDERR of array job tasks will be written into dif- ferent files with the default location .['e'|'o']'.' In order to change this default, the -e and -o options (see above) can be used together with the pseudo-environment-vari- ables $HOME, $USER, $JOB_ID, $JOB_NAME, $HOSTNAME, and $SGE_TASK_ID. Note, that you can use the output redirection to divert the out- put of all tasks into the same file, but the result of this is undefined. I would like to have the output files suppressed if they are empty. Is there any way to do this?

• HTML Form Upload PDF with other form contents using PHP

  I have a HTML form with fields such as name, address, notes, etc. I also have a field to upload a PDF. The uploaded PDF get's stored on the file system. How can I accomplish this if possibly the PDF files are larger than 2 MBs? Also, for some reason, the uploading of the PDF (< 2 MBs) works fine in Chrome, but not in IE. In IE, the upload doesn't even begin, but in Chrome, it completes fine. • Generate PDF - how to create paged HTML content beforehand?

  My task is to create ready-to-print invoices from a .NET web app. I am already generating the printer-friendly HTML for an invoice - it consists of an invoice header (that will actually need to appear on each printed page) and invoice positions (that may span multiple printed pages). Now, my task is to generate a PDF server-side, populate a header on each of its pages, then populate its pages with invoice positions. I need to generate the PDF from the existing HTML data - by simply passing HTML input to the PDF generator library. I've started using ABCPDF - I am using the AddImageHtml method. The problem I have is that ABCPDF seems to expect me to supply HTML content already paged. So, it won't work correctly when I feed it HTML content that would span on more than 1 PDF page. So, my question is - do you have any suggestions on making this work with ABCPDF? Or, more generally speaking, what other tools/approaches would you use for this - generating PDF doc with headers/footers from HTML input? Thanks

• Simple number-to-number (or number-to-hex) encryption algorithm that minimizes # of characters

  I need to encrypt a number and I and this encrypted value will be given to a customer ask a key so I want to minimize the number of digits and make them all printable. So I'd like the result to be either all number or all Hex characters. The current encryption method I'm using (for non numbers) converts the characters to hex (2 hex digits each). That doubles the number of characters. I also considered just treating the input as hex (so each pair of numbers is treated as a Hex pair, but then you have ambiguity between an input of 0123 and 123 (when decrypting that leading '0' is lost. Any suggestions?

  I'm trying to override as_json in one of my models, partly to include data from another model, partly to strip out some unnecessary fields. From what I've read this is the preferred approach in Rails 3. To keep it simple, let's say I've got something like: class Country < ActiveRecord::Base def as_json(options={}) super( :only => [:id,:name] ) end end and in my controller simply def show respond_to do |format| format.json { render :json => @country } end end Yet whatever i try, the output always contains the full data, the fields are not filtered by the ":only" clause. Basically, my override doesn't seem to kick in, though if I change it to, say... class Country < ActiveRecord::Base def as_json(options={}) {foo: "bar"} end end ...I do indeed get the expected JSON output. Have I simply got the syntax wrong?

There have been a few typos in the code examples along the way, but I've always managed to work out what's wrong and subsequently fix it - until now!   I had a task to write simple game simulating two players picking up 1-3 matches one after another until the pile is gone. I managed to do it for computer choosing random value of matches but now I'd like to go further and allow humans to play the game. Here's what I already have : http://paste.pocoo.org/show/200660/ Class Player is a computer player, and PlayerMan should be human being. Problem is, that thread of PlayerMan should wait until proper value of matches is given but I cannot make it work this way. When I type the values it sometimes catches them and decrease amount of matches but that's not exactly what I was up to :) Logics is : I check the value of current player. If it corresponds to this of the thread currently active I use scanner to catch the amount of matches. Else I wait one second (I know it's kinda harsh solution, but I have no other idea how to do it). Class Shared keeps the value of current player, and also amount of matches. • How can I extract URLs from plain text with Perl?

  I need the Perl regex to parse plain text input and convert all links to valid HTML HREF links. I've tried 10 different versions I found on the web but none of them seen to work correctly. I also tested other solutions posted on StackOverflow, none of which seem to work. The correct solution should be able to find any URL in the plain text input and convert it to: <a href="$1">$1</a> Some cases other regular expressions I tried didn't handle correctly include: URLs at the end of a line which are followed by returns URLs that included question marks URLs that start with 'https' I'm hoping that another Perl guy out there will already have a regular expression they are using for this that they can share. Thanks in advance for your help!

• Unit Test ouput in MSBuild/TFS 2008

  I have a build in TFS 2008 which includes the running of a UnitTest project. I have configured my build as such that in the drop folder after each build, I get a StyleCop.log, FxCop.log and would like to place the trx or output from the unit tests here also. I can see that my unit tests are running as part of the build, however currently I cannot find were the output is saved to or find a way of setting the ouput to my drop location ($(DropLocation)\$(BuildNumber)\MyUnitTests.txt) My unit tests are included by using the following:- <RunTest>true</RunTest> ... <ItemGroup> <TestContainer Include="$(OutDir)\%2aMyUnitTests.dll" /> </ItemGroup> Can somebody help explain how I can achieve this.
