  • jQuery: using hover to roll-over multiple images at once.

    I have a small problem, but I'm a bit stumped. I am using the following code to do rollovers on my webpage $("#mylink1 img").hover( function() { this.src = this.src.replace("_off","_on"); }, function() { this.src = this.src.replace("_on","_off"); } ); This works great for individual images, but I would like to roll over one of them and have the the other one change as well. <a id="mylink1" href="about.cfm"><img src="images/Home_top_navs/aboutus_manage_off.gif" /></a> <a id="mylink1" href="about.cfm"><img src="images/Home_top_navs/aboutus_nav2_off.gif" /></a> Any help would be appreciated!   • JQuery Slideout only works on one side of the page?!

    I've been working on a little slideout code and it's just been impossible. It works perfectly sliding out from the right of the page but when I reverse everything and have it slide from the left, not a chance! The exact issue is that it slides out farther than the width of it's container. Example at http://demindu.com/sandbox/slideout/. I'd certainly appreciate any tips in the right direction.

  • How to pass a variable inside a jquery fonction $.each($("abc")...?

    I'm trying to iterate a bunch of SELECT OPTION html drop-down fields and from the ones that are NOT empty, take the values and add a hidden field for a PAYPAL shopping cart. My problem is that for some reason, the variable "curitem" is not passed inside the each function and I can't add the hidden field like they should. All I get is "NaN" or "undefined". What PAYPAL expect is : item_name_1, item_name_2, etc. All numbers must iterate by +1. How can I do this?   • getting BR-separated text via DOM in JS/JQuery?

    Hi all, I am writing a greasemonkey script that is parsing a page with the following general structure: <table> <tr><td><center> <b><a href="show.php?who=IDNumber">(Account Name)</a></b> (#IDNumber) <br> (Rank) <br> (Title) <p> <b>Statistics:</b> <br> <table> <tr><td>blah blah etc. </td></tr></table></center></table> I'm specifically trying to grab the (Title) part out of that. As you can see, however, it's set off only by a <BR> tag, has no ID of its own, is just part of the text of a <CENTER> tag, and that tag has a whole raft of other text associated with it. Right now what I'm doing to get that is taking the innerHTML of the Center tag and using a regex on it to match for /<br>([A-Za-z ]*)<p><b>Statistics/. That is working okay for me, but it feels like there's gotta be a better way to pick that particular text out of there. ... So, is there a better way? Or should I complain to the site programmer that he needs to make that text more accessible? :-)

  • jQuery .toggle() not working as expected with second function?!

    I'm trying to create a button to show / hide a div below it, all is working fine, I'm just struggling with the last bit! I need to distinguish wether it's a show or hide action so I can pass the variable elsewhere, here's what I have.. $(this).find('.hide-close').click( function() { $(this).siblings('.dragbox-content').toggle(function() { alert($(this).parent().attr("id") + ' Show'); },function() { alert($(this).parent().attr("id") + ' Hide'); } ); }) .end() }); If use the following code, taking out the second function within toggle(), it works?!     I tried many css from other places and stackoverflow, but somehow I can not make it done. I'm very new to css, and using Joomla and a template. I'm using custom.css folder for certain customizations on style. Here is I want to do: I want to style h4 when it is a link. For example, I'm creating a custom html module, have a list in the content. And in the content I'm giving each, h5 style, and a link to it to a certain page in the site. What I want to achieve is to have this list with color blue. And when mouse over-hover to have underline and still the same color. And when clicked back to the original position with no underline and no color change. (the same color in every situation, just underline when you are over it.) I tried these h5, h5 a, h5 a: hover, h5 .contentheading a, and so on... In one instance, it was working with : h5 { font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 1.3em; font-weight: bold; } h5 a { color: #0088CC; } h5 a: hover { color: #0088CC; text-decoration: underline; } As I read I should use 'a' when the heading is a link. But now something is overriding it, I'm completely lost now. I see a:hover style in the inspection. I want to use this h5 in several content (in custom modules) when I want to style a content as a list to links. And I thought it will be practical to have one heading with a certain style so that I can use it with flexibility. Thanks a lot, any help will be great : )

    Hi! I toyed around with .load() and .ajax(), but i didn't get to an end. Here's what I need: Everey minute the function shall check if it can load a certain page. if the connection succeeds, I want the page to be refreshed, if not, nothing shall happen, the script shall retry later. My existing Javascript is not working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
