  • Automatic Hudson CI setup and plugin updates through apt?

    Hi! We've used Hudson for quite a while to implement a CI server with all the bells and whistles. The setup is quite straight forward, when installing from the provided RPMs and Debs, but through googling I haven't been able to figure out whether the plugins are installable using apt/rpm or some other package manager? The reason is that I would like to create a (meta)package for Ubuntu which would install and also update both Hudson and all the plugins through the normal upgrade mechanism. At the same time I could create a template setup for other projects, say JavaEE project needs git, cobertura and Chuck Norris plugins, while my Python project needs plugins XXX and YYY. Anybody got such a setup? As a workaround I figured setting up a number of Maven POMs, which would do the init, and later upgrades, but I feel this would require more scripting on the side, which I'm not very eager to do. Any other suggestions for this would also be appreciated.

    Statement below is working on Oracle 9i but not on Oracle 11g SELECT * FROM ( SELECT 0 scrnfail_rate, '9' zz, 7 hh FROM DUAL UNION ALL SELECT 0 scrnfail_rate, '9' zz, 7 hh FROM DUAL ) WHERE zz IS NOT NULL AND TO_CHAR (hh) NOT IN ( SELECT DECODE ( scrnfail_rate, 0, -1, ROUND (LEVEL * 1 / (scrnfail_rate / 100)) - ROUND (1 / (2 * (scrnfail_rate / 100))) ) AS nno FROM DUAL WHERE NVL (scrnfail_rate, 0) > 0 CONNECT BY LEVEL <= ROUND(9 * scrnfail_rate / 100) ) It looks like Oracle 11g is ignoring where decode or even where clause in the subquery. This query should return two rows as it does on Oracle 9i, but results ORA-01476: divisor is equal to zero on Oracle 11g EE 11.2.0.1.0 - 64bit. Can anyone help? Thanks!

    My current project uses JSON as data interchange format. Both Front-end and Back-end team agree upon a JSON structure before start integrating a service. At times due to un-notified changes in JSON structure by back-end team; it breaks the front-end code. Is there any external library that we could use to compare a mock JSON (fixture) with servers JSON response. Basically it should assert the whole JSON object and should throw an error if there is any violation in servers JSON format. Additional info: App is built on JQuery consuming REST JSON services.

  • Can Hudson be configured to build every revision?

    I've started experimenting with Hudson as a build server. I'm using subversion and have it configured to poll every minute. The issue I'm seeing is that if a build at revision 10 takes 5 minutes and there are 5 commits during that time, Hudson will next build revision 15. Is there a way to ensure every revision is built?

  • TeamCity run Nunit tests in Parallel

    So I was thinking that there must be a better way to run NUnit tests for a .net project via teamcity. Currently the build of the project takes about 10 minutes , and the testing step takes 30ish minutes. I was thinking about splitting up the Nunit tests into 3 groups, assigning them each to a different agent. And then make sure they have a build dependency on the initial build before they start. This was the best way i thought of doing it, Is there a different way I should also consider? On a side note Is it possible to combine all the Nunit tests at the end to get one report from the tests being build on 3 different machines? I dont think this is possible unless someone thought of a clever hack.

    I'm using Cucumber (0.6.3), Cucumber-Rails (0.3.0), Webrat (0.7.0), and Rails (2.3.5) for some tests. The following scenario passes just fine: Scenario: load one page Given I am on the home page Then I should see "Welcome" The following, however, fails: Scenario: load two pages Given I am on the FAQ pag When I go to the home page Then I should see "Welcome" The problem is that the second @response.body is blank. I added a Rack middleware to get a little more information: class LogEachRequest def initialize(app); @app = app; @count = 0; end def call(env) puts "Processing request # #{@count += 1)" @app.call(env) end end It shows me only one request processed.   • Visual Studio - Edit source code located in a database

    I am building something similar to Server Explorer for Apache CouchDB. One of the things necessary is to be able to edit CouchDB view definitions which in CouchDB are JavaScript functions. How can I trick Visual Studio into using my object to retrieve and save the content of the JavaScript function but still use the rest of it - I am happy with editor itself and have no intention of writing my own Editor/Language Service, etc. The latter would be much bigger effort than what this project warrants Edit After more digging I am still stuck. Here is what I know: IVsUIShellOpenDocument interface provides a method OpenStandardEditor which can be used to open the standard Visual Studio editor. As one of the parameters this method takes a Pointer to the IUnknown interface of the document data object. This object is supposed to implement several interfaces described in many places all over the MSDN. Visual Studio SDK also provides a 'sample' implementation of the document data object VsTextBufferClass. I can create an instance of this class and when I pass the pointer to the instance to the OpenStandardEditor I can see my editor and it seems to work ok. When I try to implement my own class implementing the same interfaces (IVsTextBuffer, VsTextBuffer, IVsTextLines) OpenStandardEditor method returns success, but VS bombs out on call editor.Show() with an access violation. My suspicion is that VsTextBufferClass also implements some other interface(s) but not in C# way but rather in the good old COM way. I just do not know which one(s). Any thoughts?

It breaks at 'follow_redirect!' saying it is not a redirection but login through a browser works. Thx!

  • How to Integrate SharePoint 2007/2010 and Google Apps?

    Hello All, My (smaller) company has an existing Google Apps Deployment, used for E-Mail / Calendar, etc. I'm looking into a SharePoint setup (2010 most likely). One of the best features is that new events are added to one's Outlook Calendar, e-mails can be sent automatically, etc. Naturally, this works best out-of-the-box with Exchange. I know I can add my own OpenID login system via an OpenID provider for SharePoint and get my users into the system. My question is, can anyone recommend the best way to go about making sure that events automatically find their way into users' calendars and e-mails on the Google Apps system? This would enable us to deploy SharePoint without worrying about migrating our e-mail system to Exchange first (Google Apps is more cost-effective for our needs and I'm required to keep it.)     Hi guys, I've built a web application which basically logs work that has been done upon projects plus maintain resources used etc. What I need now is to set it up so that projects can be billed. Billed such that - each task that has been undertaken in a project is regarded as a billable service. Instead of building my own invoicing system and accounts management system I was wondering if there was any standard data format i.e in xml DTD or so to which I could set up the information so it could be imported by a third party accounting system for billing - or if not then what is the best way to accomplish this. I need to integrate invoicing capabilities somehow - better if its third party as I don't wish to have to go through building an entire accounting system.

    Hi Everyone, I am looking into the best way of doing the following: I have a model called Kase, and when a user creates a new case then are taken to the show view as you would expect. I am trying to work out what the best way of sending an automated email between those two events is. I would need to include in the email the content of a couple of the fields, ideally I am looking for a way of just typing out the email and adding the same snippets that are in the show view for each of the fields I need. I am using the Base App from Github so the email sending is already setup for the user authentication and registration, but I'm not sure where to begin. The reason I want to send the email is to create a new Case in our Highrise account, and I don't have a clue how to use the API. So I think the email sending is the easier way. Thanks, Danny

I have to share these artifact for other teams(developers), but javadoc every time has another one URL(I know that it's possible to get it like .lastFinished), and get's new place on Build Machine. Is it possible on each build replace old artifact with new one because I don't need need previous versions? And have independent from build version URL for accessing.
