• Center label instance inside VGroup in Flex

  Hi all I am trying to center my labels below my image inside my VGroup. The labels are align to left now and it seems like HorizontalAlign is not working on spark component. Anyone knows how to fix it?   Hi, I'm trying to parse an XHTML document using TBXML on the iPhone (although I would be happy to use either libxml2 or NSXMLParser if it would be easier). • Doing a POST to a Service Operation in ADO.NET data services

  Is it possible to POST to a service operation defined in an ADO.NET data service (it is decorated with WebInvoke)? I had no problem calling the service operation as an HTTP GET. However, when I switched to doing a POST, the stack trace consistently comes back with "Parameter cannot be NULL". I am using the jQuery syntax below, and sending the POST as JSON (though I'm not including the $.ajax call, the parameter names line up exactly). It would be possible to try this with WCF, as opposed to ADO.NET data services (newly renamed as WCF data services). However, my preference would be to use this approach first. I have tried this with and without the stringify method. Most examples online only show how to use a POST to entities (i.e. for handling CRUD operations). • google maps call within a For Loop not returning distance

  Hi, I am calling google maps within a for loop in my javascript as I have mulitple routes that need to be costed separately based on distances. Everything works great except that the distance is only returned for one of the routes. I have a feeling that it is something to do with the way I have the items declared within the ajax call for the maps.   Hello all, Can someone tell me if this is a bug in the SDK/IDE: Any custom or extended layout I add to my layout XML causes the IDE to ignore the fact that there are any child views of that layout (they just disappear from the outline view/window), thus making them uneditable via the properties view/window. (I need to extend a layout to make onSetAlpha() public) FYI: I'm developing for Android 1.5 and up, using all the latest plug-ins/updates in Eclipse Here is a simple example of a layout XML and the extended Layout that causes this error.   Intended function: require user to select an option from the drop down menu. After user clicks submit button, validate if an option is selected. • Passing javascript object to webservice via Jquery ajax

My onSucess function gets passed a javascript object exactly structured like my User object on the service. However, I am now having trouble getting the object back to the server. I'm accepting Object as a parameter on the server side so I can't inagine there is an issue there. So I'm thinking something is wrong with the parms on the client side but i'm not sure what...   I tried following perl code to count the Chinese word of a file, it seems working but not get the right thing. Any help is greatly appreciated. The Error message is Use of uninitialized value $valid in concatenation (.) or string at word_counting.pl line 21, <FILE> line 21. Total things = 125, valid words = which seems to me the problem is the file format. The "total thing" is 125 that is the string number (125 lines). The strangest part is my console displayed all the individual Chinese words correctly without any problem.   My HTML currently contains a background image that stretches with the viewport. Within that, I plan to place a div that stretches to the height and width of the viewport and has black background colour at 50% opacity. I've set the div to be 100% width and height.   Hi, I am working on my first MVC application and am running into a bit of a problem. I have a data table that when a row is clicked, I want to return the detail from that row.   This question is relating to 2 php scripts. The first script is called pick_modcontact.php where I choose a contact (from a contact book like phone book), then posts to the script show_modcontact.php When I click the submit button on the form on pick.modcontact.php. As a result of submitting the form I am then taken to show_modcontact.php. As the variables are not present the user is directed back to pick_modcontact.php I can not work out how to correct the code so that it will show the results of the script show_modcontact.php This script shows all contacts in a database which is an "address book" this part works fine. please see below. The Button doesn't wrap its contents, instead it uses all available horizontal space. The TextView does wrap its contents, but what I want it to do is to cut off when it overlaps the Button. In other words, I want all the buttons to be of the same width, regardless of the amount of text in the textviews. Is this at all possible?

• Android: Defined array resource not found ?!

  Hi, i have a strange (?) error in my android application. I have defined some arrays in values/arrays.xml the following way: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <resources> <array name="perimeter"> <item>10 miles</item> <item>20 miles</item> <item>30 miles</item> </array> <array name="regvalues"> <item>1</item> <item>2</item> <item>3</item> </array> </resources> Now I want to use them in a ListPreference for a PreferenceActivity (defined by an xml file). So i set android:entries="@array/perimeter" android:entryValues="@array/regvalues" for this ListPreference. When I try to use this on my device the app crashes. (NullPointer in Dialog.close()) If I try to use the regvalues-items as Entries for the ListPreference i get a NullPointer in ArrayAdapter.createViewFromResource(int, View, ViewGroup, int) line: 355 So there seems to be sth wrong with the regvalues array. But what ?!? Eclipse shows me no errors at compile time. So everything in the xml-file and java-code is written correctly and there are no typos. Where is the problem?!?

The values for Name and Address are set correctly. However the value of set gets lost(since it is @XMLTransient it gets ignored) Is there any way of ensuring that it is still set in the object which has been unmarshalled? Some other annotation which I can use?

• [solved] IE6 PNG-transparency CSS hack not working

  I looked around and decided to use a CSS approach rather than rely on JS... I figure the kind of corporate users stuck with IE6 might also have JS disabled by IT departments. So In my HTML I have: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;charset=utf-8" /> <title>My Page</title> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="default.css" /> <!--[if IE 6]><link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="ie6.css"><![endif]--> </head> <body> <img src="media/logo.png"/> </body> Then my ie6.css consists simply of: img { filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaImageLoader(...); } However none of this makes the slightest difference, no transparency. I commented out all the rest of the page so it is literally that one and still no luck. I removed the default.css stylesheet and still no difference. EDIT: I now got it working, using the .htc method, loading that file in a conditional IE6 test block. It turned out the problem I was having was that Windows 7 had 'locked' the file (I don't even know what this means) and this blocked IE from loading/using it.
