• Bootstrap 3.0.0: How to use data-slide-to outside of indicators?

  I am attempting to make a small gallery like the one shown below - I'm sure you've all seen them considering they are fairly common. When trying to make one using bootstrap I ran into a major problem. I can't seem to link the smaller bottom images to the larger top one that was when one of the smaller ones is clicked it changes to the selected image. I am attempting to use data-slide-to however it does not seem to work outside of the "carousel-indicators". I can't put it into the carousel indicators list because that moves the images up into the gallery (It may be possible to fix this with CSS but my attempts have been worthless). Does anyone know the problem? I've tried tags around each image that didn't seem to work then I tried divs. Still nothing. Things to note: I am using 3.0.0 All images are generated (if you haven't guessed already) Smaller images are separate from larger one (not auto scaled down)

• PASS 2014 Nomination Campaign.

  After discussion with a number of friends, I decided to apply for the PASS Nomination Committee for the 2014 elections. The line-up for this year is very strong, and there are fine candidates that all would do a fine job on the committee. You can see the other candidates here. • Not using nofollow for UGC links

  My site contains many links that were user generated so I've added a rel=nofollow to them. I'm considering removing that tag at least partially, as these are most of my outgoing links and I've come to understand it isn't a good SEO sign to not have outgoing followed links. Although these are external sites, I have some data on the popularity and categorization of these sites. I'm trying to decide between two options: Removing the nofollow link for popular sites in most categories. Removing the nofollow for links that are in specific categories that represent the categorization I would like to achieve for my site. For example if this is a site about Basketball only remove the nofollow for links that are from sport sites. As these are both not exactly natural approaches, can this hurt me? Which option would you recommend?

• How to use American English spelling dictionary in Firefox?

  My Firefox spellchecker was complaining this morning that I spelled 'neighbor' in the American English style, not the British English style ('neighbour'). Same is true for color (colour), analyze (analyse), etc. I've checked in the edit-preferences-content-language tab, and en-us is selected. I also found this link here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1013043 Suggesting that there's some kind of system panel I can use to ensure that I've got the right language, but I can't see where that is (I guess that's for an older Ubuntu that let people get to system settings). So either the dictionary for Firefox for en-us is corrupted, just a copy of the British English dictionary, or somehow the setting isn't propagated properly. How can I get the American dictionary back?

• Can't get Broadcom 43142 drivers to work after installation on 5420 Inspiron

  I'm a complete newbie to ubuntu, I've already installed and reinstalled the Broadcom driver required done a numerous amount of steps on terminal but I can't seem to get wireless working. • Unable to use TL-WN821N

  Hi, I got a TP-LINK USB wireless module - TL-WN821N, using Ubuntu 10.4 (same problems were also seen in 10.10). From everything I've read online, the usb should work just fine, since the Atheros ar9170 is built into the kernel. However, when I plug it in, it is detected as a USB device, but there is no wlan associated with it, and basically - nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong? what should I do so that the Atheros driver is associated with this device? btw, on Windows it works fine (with the drivers).   I am registering as a Developer to sell paid applications on the Google Play store and have run into a slight issue: After I paid, I clicked on "Setup merchant details" link. I filled out the business address section, but in the "Public contact" section, Google says this: How can your customers get in touch with you? This information will be made available to your customers when they make a purchase. I work from home. I do not want customers knowing my home address, nor do I want it displayed anywhere online or even accessible by anyone. Should I just enter NA in each of the following fields? Surely Google understands that we have a right to keep such things private? How can I get around this while not getting my account suspended or risk not being approved?

• Use Google Analytics to target different sections of a blog

  I have a blog that targets different regions. The Europe region blog has different sections in different local languages such as English, French and German. I wonder how to track and analyze the different sections. My initial thought is to search the domain URL, but I found it is not a good idea. For example, the URL for the Europe blog is like www.myblog.com/europe. If you click the French section, the URL is like www.myblog.com/europe/language/french. If you click an article in the French section, it is like www.myblog.com/article_name. Notice the article link is not www.myblog.com/language/french/article_name!

• Whats the best CMS for Sports Club? [closed]

  Possible Duplicate: What Forum Software should I use? I have to renew a website for a sport club. There is some self programmed CMS in use at this time. But I need a new solution. A popular CMS that could be up to date over the next 3 or 4 years. I took a look at Drupal 7. Not sure about whether it's easy possible to create member profiles (they should be able to edit them self), a board and team overviews. Would be cool you'll share the link of a tutorial for this needs if you have one. Or... Any suggestions for a good CMS with my needs?

  how does one make a shortcut for firefox ( like any other application that has an icon) that has a command firefox 24 run from terminal. Reason i had to uninstall previous version ( 20 ) of firefox was because it was crashing often. This version ( 24 ) is stable ( and looks like it will continue to be so ). I am at present running from terminal firefox 24. Need that I make an icon which opens it and most important overlay menu ( like in mac) which is not happening at present. • Programmatically adding metatags to Masterpages in Web Forms and MVC [migrated]

  Has anyone got any ideas on where we should be adding our SEO metadata in a Web Forms project? Why I ask is that currently I have two main Masterpages, one is the home page and the other one is every other page, they both have the same metadata that’s just a generic description and set of key words about my site. The problem with that is search engines are only picking up my home page and my own search engine displays the same title and description for all results. • Is a program linked against an LGPL library in linux still under GPL?

  If I were to write say, an embeded linux video server, how much of the code do I have to offer to someone who requests the source? Do I have to offer the code that directly links against the GPL covered code or do I have to offer all code? For instance, if I use gstreamer, or any other LGPL code, on a linux platform in my program, does all of my code become under GPL simply because somewhere in the chain, the LGPL program had to link agaist GPL code? I guess this is an extension of the question. Can you write a C library that compiles in linux that does not become subject to GPL?

• raid 0 data recovery?

  HI All, I have two identical seagate 7200.9 500Gb drives confiured as a RAID 0 spanned disk in windows. One of the drives has lost power and wont spin up at all. I know this normally means death for the data on both drives but i have a cunning plan.. DISK 1 - NO POWER RAID 0 DISK DISK 2 - FULLY FUNCTIONAL RAID 0 DISK DISK 3 - FULLY FUNCTIONAL SPARE DISK Copy the working drive (disk 2) data to a third 500GB DISK (disk 3), remove the logic board from the working disk (disk 2) and replace it with the non working logic board on the broken drive (disk 1) , then hopefully recreate the RAID 0 with disk 1 and disk 3, just long enough to get the data off it. Hope this makes sense, here are my questions: Windows disk manager atm recognises disk 2 but wont let me access it in anyway, therefore copying the data off it (or getting a disk image) cant be done in windows. Does anyone know of any software (in linux or self booting) that would allow me to access this disk? Anyone know of any software that will recreate the spanned drive off two disk images Am i missing any key information that means i definitely shouldn't even bother starting this, i know its a long shot anyway but its worth a try unless i definitely cant do it. The irritating thing is that i am sure its a logic board failure on disk 1 as it simply wont power up at all, suddenly no signs of life, so i am sure the data is intact! Any help would be really appreciated! Thanks

• Why is Google not indexing my forum?

  I have this web site that as you can see on the top right has is a "Forums" button that links to my forums. My problem is that if, for instance, I make a Google search "site:heliumscraper.com answers" I don't get any result, even though the word "answers" is in the forum's board index and it has been there for a few months already. I don't have a robots file. I also uploaded a sitemap to Google that contained the forum. I'm thinking the problem might be the fact that the only link from my main page to the forum opens in a new window. Could this be the problem?

  I'm trying to print a colored string to a gnome-terminal using ANSI escape codes, but, although it works for the custom colors, or even the 256 extra color, it doesn't work with RGB codes. • Concatenating ogg video files from the command line

  Okay. I've got a few ogg files I've created using a desktop recording tool. I've transcoded them using ffmpeg once (mainly to clip out the beginnings and the ends). Now, I have 3 such files which I want to concatenate into a single .ogv file. I tried using oggCat, it crashed with some kind of error (I tried concatenating a file to itself using oggCat and that failed too leading me to believe that my distro is shipping a broken version of the package). Simply cating the files works but I can't seek which is not cool. mencoder run like this mencoder -ovc lavc -oac lavc file1.ogv file2.ogv file3.ogv -o complete.ogv. It transcodes the files into an avi and clips off a little of the 3 videos. So, how do I do this? Update 1: My current workaround is to transcode the 3 files into .mpg using ffmpeg, then cating them together and then transcoding them back into ogv. Update 2: PiTiVi works for this kind of thing but I need something from the command line that I can automate and script.
