  • Getting RSSIValue from IOBluetoothHostController

    - by Tanner Ezell
I'm trying to write a simple application that gathers the RSSIValue and displays it via NSLog, my code is as follows: #import <Foundation/Foundation.h> #import <Cocoa/Cocoa.h> #import <IOBluetooth/objc/IOBluetoothDeviceInquiry.h> #import <IOBluetooth/objc/IOBluetoothDevice.h> #import <IOBluetooth/objc/IOBluetoothHostController.h> #import <IOBluetooth/IOBluetoothUtilities.h> @interface getRSSI: NSObject {} -(void) readRSSIForDeviceComplete:(id)controller device:(IOBluetoothDevice*)device info:(BluetoothHCIRSSIInfo*)info error:(IOReturn)error; @end @implementation getRSSI - (void) readRSSIForDeviceComplete:(id)controller device:(IOBluetoothDevice*)device info:(BluetoothHCIRSSIInfo*)info error:(IOReturn)error { if (error != kIOReturnSuccess) { NSLog(@"readRSSIForDeviceComplete return error"); CFRunLoopStop(CFRunLoopGetCurrent()); } if (info->handle == kBluetoothConnectionHandleNone) { NSLog(@"readRSSIForDeviceComplete no handle"); CFRunLoopStop(CFRunLoopGetCurrent()); } NSLog(@"RSSI = %i dBm ", info->RSSIValue); [NSThread sleepUntilDate: [NSDate dateWithTimeIntervalSinceNow: 5]]; [device closeConnection]; [device openConnection]; [controller readRSSIForDevice:device]; } @end int main (int argc, const char * argv[]) { NSAutoreleasePool *pool = [[NSAutoreleasePool alloc] init]; NSLog(@"start"); IOBluetoothHostController *hci = [IOBluetoothHostController defaultController]; NSString *addrStr = @"xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx"; BluetoothDeviceAddress addr; IOBluetoothNSStringToDeviceAddress(addrStr, &addr); IOBluetoothDevice *device = [[IOBluetoothDevice alloc] init]; device = [IOBluetoothDevice withAddress:&addr]; [device retain]; [device openConnection]; getRSSI *rssi = [[getRSSI alloc] init]; [hci setDelegate:rssi]; [hci readRSSIForDevice:device]; CFRunLoopRun(); [hci release]; [rssi release]; [pool release]; return 0; } The problem I am facing is that the readRSSIForDeviceComplete seems to work just fine, info passes along a value. The problem is that the RSSI value is drastically different from the one I can view from OS X via option clicking the bluetooth icon at the top. It is typical for my application to print off 1,2,-1,-8,etc while the menu displays -64 dBm, -66, -70, -42, etc. I would really appreciate some guidance.

  • SpineJS and RequireJS

    - by ot3m3m
I am using require.js 2.0. I have the following code that is called initially by require: app.js requirejs.config({ paths: { app: '..', spine: 'spine_src/spine', cs: "cs", }, shim: { 'spine_src/route': { deps: ['spine'] } } }); // Start the main app logic. requirejs(['cs!app/StartApp_Admin', 'spine','spine_src/route'], function (StartApp_Admin, Spine, Route) { { new StartApp_Admin(); } }); And the following controller: StartApp_Admin define () -> class StartApp_Admin extends Spine.Controller constructor: -> @routes "/twitter/:id": (params) -> console.log("/users/", params.id) Spine.Route.setup() When I execute the application I get the following error in my spine route library file (route.js). The application breaks when I call Spine.Route.setup() Uncaught TypeError: Object function (element) {return element;} has no method 'extend' Any help would be greatly appreciated

  • deny iframe javascript to scroll parent window

    - by gucki
I've a site with banner ads, loaded using iframes. The banner ads always scroll the parent window when the banner doesn't complety fit into the visible region. This is really annoying and I'd like to deny the javascript of the iframes to scroll the main window. Here is what I already tried: Move the iframe src code to another domain. Normally js from another domain should not be allowed to access the parent window, is it?! This doesn't work. Overwrite window.moveTo, window.scrollTo, window.scrollBy in parent with my own functions. This doesn't seem to work neither, as none of these functions seems to be called. :-( Any help would be really great :-)

  • Querying and ordering results of a database in grails using transient fields

    - by Azder
    I'm trying to display paged data out of a grails domain object. For example: I have a domain object Employee with the properties firstName and lastName which are transient, and when invoking their setter/getter methods they encrypt/decrypt the data. The data is saved in the database in encrypted binary format, thus not sortable by those fields. And yet again, not sortable by transient ones either, as noted in: http://www.grails.org/GSP+Tag+-+sortableColumn . So now I'm trying to find a way to use the transients in a way similar to: Employee.withCriteria( max: 10, offset: 30 ){ order 'lastName', 'asc' order 'firstName', 'asc' } The class is: class Employee { byte[] encryptedFirstName byte[] encryptedLastName static transients = [ 'firstName', 'lastName' ] String getFirstName(){ decrypt("encryptedFirstName") } void setFirstName(String item){ encrypt("encryptedFirstName",item) } String getLastName(){ decrypt("encryptedLastName") } void setLastName(String item){ encrypt("encryptedLastName",item) } }

  • iframe form not submitting in IE7

    - by Lauren
For some reason I can submit the form data on this Review and Submit page here in Chrome and FF but not IE7: https://checkout.netsuite.com/s.nl?c=659197&n=1&sc=4&category=confirm Email:[email protected] Pass:test03 Click on "here" where it says "Your Third Party Shipper Numbers (To enter one, click here.)" I removed my javascript that automatically refreshes the page to make sure that wasn't refreshing before anything was submitted somehow. Could the difference in IE7 have to do with the fact that the domain of the form (forms.netsuite.com) is different than the domain of the parent page(checkout.netsuite.com) and it's being submitted over HTTPS?

  • Generate MVC HTml.ActionLink programatically

    - by swetha
I have a scenario where I should redirect my Legacy Url to my current SEO Url. and I have 300+ different legacy urls so I am handling all those in my 404 Handler. I have my Legacy Url and the actual Action, controller and parameters it is supposed to use. But the issue is there is already a SEO friendly route for these Action and Controller. so I want to redirect this legacy URL to that friendly route. So I am planning to generate a link like what Html.ActionLink does and want to move permanently. Can anyone help me in generating this link???

  • Route Links - Url.Action

    - by Jemes
    I'm trying to return my links so they display as /Area_1419.aspx/2/1. I've managed to get that result in example 2 but I don't understand why it works, as I would exspect example 1 below to work. I don't see how Example 2 knows to go to the Area_1419 controller? Route routes.MapRoute( "Area_1419 Section", "Area_1419.aspx/{section_ID}/{course_ID}", new { controller = "Home", action = "Index" } ); Links Example 1 <a href='<%=Url.Action("Area_1419", new { section_ID="2", course_ID="1" })%>'><img .../></a> Returns: /Home.aspx/Area_1419?section_ID=2&course_ID=1 Links Example 2 <a href='<%=Url.Action("index", new { section_ID="2", course_ID="1" })%>'><img .../></a> Returns: /Area_1419.aspx/2/1

  • How to get an ASP.NET MVC Ajax response to redirect to new page instead of inserting view into Updat

    - by Jeff Widmer
I am using the Ajax.BeginForm to create a form the will do an ajax postback to a certain controller action and then if the action is successful, the user should get redirected to another page (if the action fails then a status message gets displayed using the AjaxOptions UpdateTargetId). using (Ajax.BeginForm("Delete", null, new { userId = Model.UserId }, new AjaxOptions { UpdateTargetId = "UserForm", LoadingElementId = "DeletingDiv" }, new { name = "DeleteForm", id = "DeleteForm" })) { [HTML DELETE BUTTON] } If the delete is successful I am returning a Redirect result: [Authorize] public ActionResult Delete(Int32 UserId) { UserRepository.DeleteUser(UserId); return Redirect(Url.Action("Index", "Home")); } But the Home Controller Index view is getting loaded into the UpdateTargetId and therefore I end up with a page within a page. Two things I am thinking about: Either I am architecting this wrong and should handle this type of action differently (not using ajax). Instead of returning a Redirect result, return a view which has javascript in it that does the redirect on the client side. Does anyone have comments on #1? Or if #2 is a good solution, what would the "redirect javascript view" look like?

  • Cannot set g:checkbox to off for a child on one-to-many relationship

    - by icon911
Got a weird issue with g:checkbox not being saved when its switched from on to off for a child in one-to-many relationship. For example: class Parent { Boolean enabled static hasMany = [children: Child] static constraints = { enabled(blank: true, nullable: true) } } class Child { Boolean enabled static belongsTo = [parent: Parent] static constraints = { enabled(blank: true, nullable: true) } } Posting to Parent controller true/false values will work for Parent: <g:checkBox name="enabled" value="${parentInstance?.enabled}"/> However, not for Child! When posting to Parent controller I can only go from false to true, trying to change from true to false again will not work: <g:each in="${parentInstance.children}" status="i" var="child"> <g:checkBox name="child[${i}].enabled" value="${child?.enabled}" /> </g:each> That seems to be a bug. Any ideas? Thanks.

  • MVC validation error with strongly typed view

    - by Remnant
I have a simple form that I would like to validate on form submission. Note I have stripped out the html for ease of viewing <%=Html.TextBox("LastName", "")%> //Lastname entry <%=Html.ValidationMessage("LastName")%> <%=Html.TextBox("FirstName", "")%>//Firstname entry <%=Html.ValidationMessage("FirstName")%> <%=Html.DropDownList("JobRole", Model.JobRoleList)%> //Dropdownlist of job roles <% foreach (var record in Model.Courses) // Checkboxes of different courses for user to select { %> <li><label><input type="checkbox" name="Courses" value="<%=record.CourseName%>" /><%= record.CourseName%></label></li> <% } %> On submission of this form I would like to check that both FirstName and LastName are populated (i.e. non-zero length). In my controller I have: public ActionResult Submit(string FirstName, string LastName) { if (FirstName.Trim().Length == 0) ModelState.AddModelError("FirstName", "You must enter a first name"); if (LastName.Trim().Length == 0) ModelState.AddModelError("LastName", "You must enter a first name"); if (ModelState.IsValid) { //Update database + redirect to action } return View(); //If ModelState not valid, return to View and show error messages } Unfortunately, this code logic produces an error that states that no objects are found for JobRole and Courses. If I remove the dropdownlist and checkboxes then all works fine. The issue appears to be that when I return the View the view is expecting objects for the dropwdownlist and checkboxes (which is sensible as that is what is in my View code) How can I overcome this problem? Things I have considered: In my controller I could create a JobRoleList object and Course object to pass to the View so that it has the objects to render. The issue with this is that it will overwrite any dropdownlist / checkbox selections that the user has already made. In the parameters of my controller method Submit I could aslo capture the JobRoleList object and Course object to pass back to the View. Again, not sure this would capture any items the user has already selected. I have done much googling and reading but I cannot find a good answer. When I look at examples in books or online (e.g. Nerddinner) all the validation examples involve simple forms with TextBox inputs and don't seems to show instances with multiple checkboxes and dropdownlists. Have I missed something obvious here? What would be best practice in this situation? Thanks

  • Combining Two Models in Rails for a Form

    - by matsko
Hey Guys. I'm very new with rails and I've been building a CMS application backend. All is going well, but I would like to know if this is possible? Basically I have two models: @page { id, name, number } @extended_page { id, page_id, description, image } The idea is that there are bunch of pages but NOT ALL pages have extended_content. In the event that there is a page with extended content then I want to be able to have a form that allows for editing both of them. In the controller: @page = Page.find(params[:id]) @extended= Extended.find(:first, :conditions = ["page_id = ?",@page.id]) @combined = ... #merge the two somehow So in the view: <%- form_for @combined do |f| % <%= f.label :name % <%= f.text_field :name % ... <%= f.label :description % <%= f.text_field :description % <%- end This way in the controller, there only has to be one model that will be updated (which will update to both). Is this possible?

  • Grails / GORM, Disable First-level Cache

    - by Stephen Swensen
Suppose I have the following Domain class mapping to a legacy table, utilizing read-only second-level cache, and having a transient field: class DomainObject { static def transients = ['userId'] Long id Long userId static mapping = { cache usage: 'read-only' table 'SOME_TABLE' } } I have a problem, references to DomainObject are being shared due to first-level caching, and thus transient fields are writing over each other. For example, def r1 = DomainObject.get(1) r1.userId = 22 def r2 = DomainObject.get(1) r2.userId = 34 assert r1.userId == 34 That is, r1 and r2 are references to the same instance. This is undesirable, I would like to cache the table data without sharing references. Any ideas? [Edit] Understanding the situation better now, I believe my question boils down to the following: Is there anyway to disable first level cache for a specific domain class while still using second level cache?

  • one variable and multiple controllers..

    - by Simon
I'm working on a web application, using the CAKEPHP framework. Herefor i need to request one variable on multiple pages (all pages have different controllers). it is oubvious that i get a error on several pages, since the variable isn't declared in all the different controllers. Is there a workaround for this? i've already tried the app:: import to import a controller in another controller, but this doens't seem to work (still get a undefined variable error). Thnx for your cooperation! Regards, Simon

  • Admin section in CakePHP

    - by Nicklas Ansman
I'm having a hard time understanding how the CakePHP admin system works. Should all controllers who has an action which requires login include AuthComponent or just the one who handles the login/logout? Let's say I want to protect the add action of a controller. First I create admin_add() in the controller and then in the beforeFilter() method I check if $this->Session->check('Auth.User') is set a redirect based on this? Turns out it was better to just controll this with $this->Auth->allow() What is the easiest way to return to the URL the user was trying to access? Is there a better way than setting a session variable? Turns out it does this automagically :) If someone has a good tutorial for this I would happily read it :) I've already read this tutorial but I found it to be a little to basic and the CakePHP-docs are not that great on this topic either.

  • How do I do automatic data serialization of data objects in Haskell

    - by Adam Gent
One of the huge benefits in languages that have some sort of reflection/introspecition is that objects can be automatically constructed from a variety of sources. For example in Java I can use the same objects for persisting to a db (with Hibernate) serializing to XML (with JAXB) or serializing to JSON (json-lib). You can do the same in Ruby and Python also usually following some simple rules for properties or annotations for Java. Thus I don't need lots "Domain Transfer Objects". I can concentrate on the domain I am working in. It seems in very strict FP like Haskell and Ocaml this is not possible. Particularly Haskell. The only thing I have seen is doing some sort of preprocessing or meta-programming (ocaml). Is it just accepted that you have to do all the transformations from the bottom upwards? In other words you have to do lot of boring work to turn a data type in haskell into JSON/XML/DB Row object and back again into a data object.

  • What if I have an API method and a contoller/view method with the same name in RoR?

    - by Chad Johnson
Suppose I want to be able to view a list of products on my site by going to /product/list. Great. So this uses my 'list' view and outputs some HTML which my web browser will render. But now suppose I want to provide a REST API to my client where they can get a list of their products. So I suppose I'd have them authenticate with oAuth and then they'd call /product/list which would return a JSON array of their products. But like I said earlier, /product/list displays an HTML web page. So, I have a conflict. What is normal practice as far as providing APIs in Rails? Should I have a subdirectory, 'api', in /app/controller, and another 'product' controller? So my client would go to /api/product/list to get a list of their products? I'm a bit new to RoR, so I don't have the best grasp of the REST functionality yet, but hopefully my question makes sense.

  • Hex Decompilers for PIC

    - by Chathuranga Chandrasekara
I've faced to a problem with a PIC Micro controller. I have a micro-controller programmed by me long time ago and I lost the relevant source code and the schematic diagrams. Now I need to invert the value of a port. I can do this using some NOT gates but it is a big hassle to do so. or alternatively I will need to write the whole program back. I don't expect to see the code back in PIC C or MikroC. Having an understandable assembly code would be sufficient. So do anyone has any experience on a good HEX decompiler that I can use for this purpose? Any comments based on your experience? :)

  • C#: Check if administrator has write access to a file

    - by Bilal Aslam
The Problem: I need to check if a user (local user or domain user, either one is possible) has write access to a file (if you're curious, %windir%\system32\inetsrv\applicationHost.config. This file is protected by Windows and you need to be an administrator to write to it.) My Solution: The general construct is: using (Impersonator impersonator = new Impersonator(domain, username, password)) { try { using (FileStream fs = File.OpenWrite(appHostConfigPath)) { return true; } catch { return false; } } As you can imagine, the Impersonator class is an IDisposible which uses native interop to call LogonUser. Nothing too creative, and it works. Where I am stuck: On Windows OSs with UAC enabled, this function always return false even if the user specified by username is an administrator. Even though my program is running elevated as an administrator, I suspect what's happening is that the impersonated code is running as a limited administrator. Hence, the method is returning false. I don't have any creative solutions to this. Can anyone help?

  • UITableViewCell outlets not set during bundle load (possibly very elementary question)

    - by Jan Zich
What are the most common reasons for an outlet (a class property) not being set during a bundle load? I'm sorry; most likely I'm not using the correct terms. It's my first steps with iPhone OS development and Objective-C, so please bear with me. Here is more details. Basically, I'm trying to create a table view based form with a fixed number of static rows. I followed this example: http://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/documentation/userexperience/conceptual/TableView_iPhone/TableViewCells/TableViewCells.html Scroll down to The Technique for Static Row Content please. I have one nib file with one table view, three table cells and all connections set as in the example. The problem is that the corresponding cell properties in my controller are never initialised. I get an exception in cellForRowAtIndexPath complaining that the returned cell is nil: UITableView dataSource must return a cell from tableView:cellForRowAtIndexPath. Here are the relevant parts from the implementation of the controller: @synthesize cellA; @synthesize cellB; @synthesize cellC; - (NSInteger)numberOfSectionsInTableView:(UITableView *)tableView { return 1; } - (NSInteger)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView numberOfRowsInSection:(NSInteger)section { return 3; } - (UITableViewCell *)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView cellForRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { switch (indexPath.row) { case 0: return cellA; break; case 1: return cellB; break; case 2: return cellC; break; default: return nil; } } And here is the interface part: @interface AssociatePhoneViewController : UITableViewController { UITableViewCell *cellA; UITableViewCell *cellB; UITableViewCell *cellB; } @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UITableViewCell *cellA; @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UITableViewCell *cellB; @property (nonatomic, retain) IBOutlet UITableViewCell *cellC; @end This must be possibly one of the the most embarrassing questions on StackOverflow. It looks like the most basic example code. Is is possible that the cells are not instantiated with the nib file? I have them on the same level before the tabula view in the nib file. I tried to move them after the table view, but it did not make any difference. Are table cells in some way special? Do I need to set some flag or some property on them in the nib file? I was under the impression that all classes (views, windows, controllers …) listed in a nib file are simply instantiated (and linked using the provided connections). Could it possibly be some memory issue? The cell properties in my controller are not defined in any special way.

  • Rearranging parts of the URL result from link_to in Rails

    - by mathee
This is how I'm doing it now: link_to "Profile", :controller => "profiles", :action => "asked", :id => @profile # => <a href="/profiles/asked/1">Profile</a> Does it make more sense for the URL to be <a href="/profiles/1/asked">Profile</a>? Profile 1 asked some number of questions, so it makes more sense to me for the URL to look like: /:controller/:id/:action. If you agree, how do I accomplish this? If you don't agree, please let me know why. (I'm new to Ruby on Rails, so I'm still getting used to MVC conventions.) Any advice would be great!

  • Update tableview instantly as data pushed in core data iphone

    - by user336685
I need to update the tableview as soon as the content is pushed in core data database. for this AppDelegate.m contains following code NSManagedObjectContext *moc = [self managedObjectContext]; NSFetchRequest *request = [[NSFetchRequest alloc] init]; [request setEntity:[NSEntityDescription entityForName:@"FeedItem" inManagedObjectContext:moc]]; //for loop // push data in code data & then save context [moc save:&error]; ZAssert(error == nil, @"Error saving context: %@", [error localizedDescription]); //for loop ends This code triggers following code from RootviewController.m - (void)controllerWillChangeContent:(NSFetchedResultsController*)controller { [[self tableView] beginUpdates]; } But this updates the tableview only at the end of the for loop ,the table does not get updated after immediate push in db. I tried following code but that didn't work - (void)controllerDidChangeContent:(NSFetchedResultsController *)controller { // In the simplest, most efficient, case, reload the table view. [self.tableView reloadData]; } I have been stuck with this problem for several days. Please help. Thanks in advance for solution.
