    Hello I have a table : tags(tagname,entryid,stamp) and i want to make a section for the most trending tags today, the tagname column has no unique value, because many entries has the same tag, so the php code that i want should display the most attached tags today. Note: the "stamp" column is the date of adding the tag in UNIX time stamp format. Thanks

  • Replacing whitespace with sed in a CSV (to use w/ postgres copy command)

    I iterate through a collection of CSV files in bash, running: iconv --from-code=ISO-8859-1 --to-code=UTF-8 ${FILE} | \ sed -e 's/\"//g' | \ sed -e 's/, /,/g' \ > ${FILE}.utf8 Running iconv to fix UTF-8 characters, then the first sed call removes the double quote characters, and the final sed call is supposed to remove leading and trailing whitespace around the commas. HOWEVER, I still have a line like this in the saved file: FALSE,,,, 2.40,, The COPY command in postgres is kind of dumb, so it thinks " 2.40" is not valid syntax for a numeric value. Where am I going wrong w/ my processing of the CSV file? Thanks!

    if i have queries on multiple tables like: d = Relations.objects.filter(follow = request.user).filter(date_follow__lt = last_checked) r = Reply.objects.filter(reply_to = request.user).filter(date_reply__lt = last_checked) article = New.objects.filter(created_by = request.user) vote = Vote.objects.filter(voted = article).filter(date__lt = last_checked) and i want to display the results from all of them ordered by date (i mean not listing all the replies, then all the votes, etc ).   • 398 row datalist slowing down modal open????

    Hey guys I got a weird issue.. I have a datalist that's only loaded on pageload it contains 2 columns a name and date and has 398 rows.. In IE 7 and above(and prob previous version) when I open a modal via a button click it takes almost 5 seconds to open. HOWEVER, if I do not bind this datalist it's MUCH faster.. Also this is only happening in IE, Chrome, Firefox and opera both open the modal instantly with the datalist binded... Josh

    I have a stored procedure that says update table1 set value1 = 1 where value1 = 0 and date < getdate() I have a trigger that goes like CREATE TRIGGER NAME ON TABLENAME FOR UPDATE ... if UPDATE(value1) BEGIN --Some code to figure out that this trigger has been called -- the value is always null END Any idea why this trigger is called even when the stored procedure does not update any values?

  • Git in terminal

    I tried making my first repo on github. I copy pasted their code while on the directory of my entire system (I think that was a mistake). As a result, the terminal line always says ~ git:(master) ? before every command. It does not go away even when I quit terminal. I am using zsh. The code I pasted was: touch README.md git init git add README.md git commit -m "first commit" git remote add origin https://github.com/***/***.git git push -u origin master On top of that, I can't even seem to figure out how to add my files to the repo. Help on how to not always have git:(master) before every bash command and how to make a repo? Thanks!

  • Linux shell to restrict sftp users to their home directories?

    I need to give SFTP access to a directory within my webroot on my server. I've set up ben_files as a user and have set his/her home directory to /var/www/vhosts/mydomain.com/files That's all fine if he/she connects with plain old FTP - he's/she's restricted just to that directory, but to enable SFTP I had to add him/her to bin/bash shell, which suddenly opens up my entire server... Is there a way of giving him/her SFTP access but without opening up all my directories? I'd really like him restricted to only his/her home ;)
