    I would like to use or emulate a button like the gps button in the bottom left corner of the standard maps application on the iphone OS. The button behaves like a toggle button where gps is enabled or disabled depending on whether it is pushed and it may hold a small spinner component while the gps is finding your position. Does anyone know if this component can be easily constructed using default components? If no, what would be the best way to develop such a component? Is the crosshair/target icon a generic icon that I can re-use?

    I am trying to make this captcha jquery plugin to work. The a certain line of code is executed, the error pops up. This is the line of code that causes the error : $(".ajax-fc-" + rand).draggable({ containment: '#ajax-fc-content' }); What I am assuming is that there is some kind of conflict with the javascript reference, but can't determain what.     Hi, I have created a rather larger html form and I would like the data to send to my email address. I am using the POST method and thought my PHP was up to snuff. However, I now get the following error upon submission: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}' in C:\www\mo\marinecforum\send_form_application.php on line 90. Is there any better solution available?

  • Is there a problem with scrollTop in Chrome?

    I am setting scrollTop and scrollLeft for a div that I am working with. The code looks like this: div.scrollLeft = content.cx*scalar - parseInt(div.style.width)/2; div.scrollTop = content.cy*scalar - parseInt(div.style.height)/2; This works just fine in FF, but only scrollLeft works in chrome. As you can see, the two use almost identical equations and as it works in FF I am just wondering if this is a problem with Chrome?     This is very similar to a question I asked the other day but my page code has become significantly more complicated and I need to revisit it. I've been using the following code: $('#myLink').click(function() { $('#myImg').attr('src', 'newImg.jpg'); setTimeout(function() { $('#myImg').attr('src', 'oldImg.jpg'); }, 15000); }); To replace an image for a set period of time (15 seconds) when the link is clicked, then after 15 seconds, revert to the original image. However now, I'd like to run a snippet of javascript as well when the link is clicked (in addition to replacing the image), and only when the link is clicked (it's related to the 15 second image) and then have the js code disappear as well after the 15 seconds...however I'm not sure how to have jquery send js code into the page...Basically I just want jQuery to "echo" this code onto the page underneath the 15 second while I am there, but I don't know how jquery formats this "echo". Does this question make sense?

    Hi, I am switching to using Vim for for my LaTeX editing environment. I would like to be able to tex the source file from within Vim, and launch an external viewing if the compile was successful. I know about the Vim-Latex suite, but, if possible, would prefer to avoid using it: it is pretty heavy-weight, hijacks a lot of my keys, and clutters up my vimruntime with a lot of files.     Hello all, I'm very VERY new at this whole web thing. And I'm just very confused in general. Basically, what I want to do is take an input via text using HTML and adding that input to database, table trans. Should be simple but I am lost. <li>Transaction Number</li> <li><input type=|text| name=|tnumber| </li> // do i need to use value? <li>Employee Name</li> <li><input type=|text| name=|ename| </li> <li><input type=|SUBMIT| value=|Add|></li> ...... ...... sqlite3 db $::env(ROOT)/database.db mb eval {INSERT INTO trans VALUES ($tnumber, $ename} mb close They are both in a same file and there are only two fields to the database to keep things simple. What I can see here is that tnumber and ename aren't declared as variables. So how do I do that so that the text input is assigned to respective variables?

  • How do I store more information in a marker?

    Hello, I'm using Google Maps v3 and I build in the server side a json collection of location data. So when I receive that, I iterate through that collection and create a marker object for each and every one of them. For each of these markers, I bind them with the click event, so when the user clicks on a marker in the map, it displays an infoWindow with data related to the associated location. I have an array to store all the location got from the server that holds the retrieved json objects and their corresponding marker. The problem is that, even when I have an array that I can reference or iterate through, I need to not only get the marker object when the user clicks on them, but also the location object, that stores more information. I tried to mantain this array of objects and reference it from the calling object without success, because the function is called by the marker and not the location object. So I thought if it's possible to store more information in the google maps marker object like using a general purpose field. Please let me know if more information is needed. Thanks!

  • Photoshop JSX script- CLOSE PHOTOSHOP!

    How do I close photoshop using its javascript scripting language. (I am automaticly scripting a great deal of things, and I notice that for one reason or another, some of the ram is not releasing with each new task. My hopes are that after X ammount of operations, I will fully close photoshop, to free up the ram.. which it is eating up all of my 8 gigs, and after which then opens photoshop help and causes a huge failure (actually, to be honest it fills up my hard drive with junk till I get a "hard drive is full" message... (I think it is dumping the ram into virtual ram on my hard drive?)... what a mess)THANKS!!

  • How do I get google protocol buffer messages over a socket connection without disconnecting the clie

    Hi there, I'm attempting to send a .proto message from an iPhone application to a Java server via a socket connection. However so far I'm running into an issue when it comes to the server receiving the data; it only seems to process it after the client connection has been terminated. This points to me that the data is getting sent, but the server is keeping its inputstream open and waiting for more data. Would anyone know how I might go about solving this? I did try replacing the socket writedata method with [request writeToOutputStream:[socket getCFWriteStream]]; Which I thought might work, however I get an error claiming that the "Protocol message contained an invalid tag (zero)". I'm fairly certain that it doesn't contain an invalid tag as the message works when sending it via the writedata method. Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated! Cheers!     i have this page displaying statement every 2 second (using javascript), at the end of it there is a link which the user can click. with IE it will click the link before javascript generated statement is completed. when i use Link.Click() (with Firefox it will throw exception, which is fine with me) is there a way to wait for javascript execution to complete before link gets clicked (IE)?
