  • Importing a txt file

    How do I get this code to work? When I run the whole program I think it just exits because it never returns true. EDIT So, after moving the file and adding the printStacktrace(), I'm not getting any errors, although my program still won't run.   • Need help troubleshooting why Solr wont start (or why solr admin page wont show)

    I can't get Solr working. I have Jetty, and my server OS is Ubuntu 9.10. It is a VPS server. So, when I execute the java -jar start.jar everything seems fine. I even do a netstat to check if there are any listeners on the port before the start and after the start, and it seems solr is starting. However, I cant access the admin page. I have even turned off the firewall. Here is some info about my server: I have changed DocumentRoot to var/www/SV/ I have Apache2, PHP5, MySql installed I have "disabled" iptables firewall I have removed the htaccess files (I used them to passw protect my site under develop) I have installed JRE (NOT JDK) on my server. I use the "example" which comes with Solr, so I use Jetty as container on my Server. My Server has 768MB RAM Doing a java -version command shows this: java version "1.6.0_15" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_15-b03) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 14.1-b02, mixed mode) And in the terminal the last lines when executing start.jar is: May 29, 2010 1:30:03 PM org.apache.solr.core.SolrCore registerSearcher INFO: [] Registered new searcher Searcher@1dc64a5 main NOTE: Also before this last line, there is a line which makes me suspicious: Started SocketConnector @ 0.0.0.0:8983 // Should this be with leading zeros? Is there any ways you know to troubleshoot this? Memory issue maybe? Thanks

    I'm trying to do a fuzzy match on the Phrase "Grand Prarie" (deliberately misspelled) using Apache Lucene. Part of my issue is that the ~ operator only does fuzzy matches on single word terms and behaves as a proximity match for phrases. Is there a way to do a fuzzy match on a phrase with lucene?

  • OpenStreetMap Proximity search using mySQL

    Hi, I'm just playing around with a dataset of my region generated by JOSM. I moved it into a mySQL DB with the 0.6 API scheme using Osmosis and now I'm desperately trying the following: I want to get all streets of a city. AFAIK there is no tag/relation in the OSM data to determine this so I tried it using a proximity search to get all nodes in a radius around a node representing the city center. Most of the time I looked at the approaches here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/574691/mysql-great-circle-distance-haversine-formula What I got is the following SQL code that should get me the closest 100 nodes around the node with id 36187002 and within a radius of 10km. set @nodeid = 36187002; set @dist = 10; select longitude, latitude into @mylon, @mylat from nodes where id=@nodeid limit 1; SELECT id, ( 6371 * acos( cos( radians(@mylon) ) * cos( radians( latitude ) ) * cos( radians( longitude ) - radians(@mylat) ) + sin( radians(@mylon) ) * sin( radians( latitude ) ) ) ) AS distance FROM nodes HAVING distance < @dist ORDER BY distance LIMIT 0 , 100; Well.. it doesn't work. :( I guess the main problem is that OSM lats/lons are multiplied by 10.000.000 and I don't know how I can correct this function to make it work.   • C# Regex - Replace multiple characters at once without overwriting?

    Hello guys, I'm implementing a c# program that should automatize a Mono-alphabetic substitution cipher. The functionality i'm working on at the moment is the simplest one: The user will provide a plain text and a cipher alphabet, for example: Plain text(input): THIS IS A TEST Cipher alphabet: A - Y, H - Z, I - K, S - L, E - J, T - Q Cipher Text(output): QZKL KL QJLQ I thought of using regular expressions since I've been programming in perl for a while, but I'm encountering some problems on c#. First I would like to know if someone would have a suggestion for a regular expression that would replace all occurrence of each letter by its corresponding cipher letter (provided by user) at once and without overwriting anything. Example: In this case, user provides plaintext "TEST", and on his cipher alphabet, he wishes to have all his T's replaced with E's, E's replaced with Y and S replaced with J. My first thought was to substitute each occurrence of a letter with an individual character and then replace that character by the cipherletter corresponding to the plaintext letter provided. Using the same example word "TEST", the steps taken by the program to provide an answer would be: 1 - replace T's with (lets say) @ 2 - replace E's with # 3 - replace S's with & 4 - Replace @ with E, # with Y, & with j 5 - Output = EYJE This solution doesn't seem to work for large texts. I would like to know if anyone can think of a single regular expression that would allow me to replace each letter in a given text by its corresponding letter in a 26-letter cipher alphabet without the need of splitting the task in an intermediate step as I mentioned.   • C# Find and Replace RegEx with wildcard search and addition of value

    Hello, The below code is from my other questions that I have asked here on SO. Everyone has been so helpful and I almost have a grasp with regards to RegEx but I ran into another hurdle. This is what I basically need to do in a nutshell. I need to take this line that is in a text file that I load into my content variable: X17.8Y-1.Z0.1G0H1E1 I need to do a wildcard search for the X value, Y value, Z value, and H value. When I am done, I need this written back to my text file (I know how to create the text file so that is not the problem). X17.8Y-1.G54G0T2 G43Z0.1H1M08 I have code that the kind users here have given me, except I need to create the T value at the end of the first line, and use the value from the H and increment it by 1 for the T value. For example: X17.8Y-1.Z0.1G0H5E1 would translate as: X17.8Y-1.G54G0T6 G43Z0.1H5M08 The T value is 6 because the H value is 5. I have code that does everything (does two RegEx functions and separates the line of code into two new lines and adds some new G values). But I don't know how to add the T value back into the first line and increment it by 1 of the H value.     I have code examples from some of my previous work that help me to post form values to a web page (login credentials) and retrieve the text from that page. Now I want to pass in form values (login credentials again) but actually open that web page in a browser given those credentials. How do I do that? I'm not doing anything nefarious. In our CRM app (home-grown as it is), I want to create a link button that opens our web site's protected products page given the user's credentials (based on the user's login credentials). Normally, I'd copy the user's credentials in our login page which then takes me to the products page. I'm trying to do this now by just clicking a link button. Any suggestions?

  • Web service creates stack overflow

    I have an application that when executed as a windows application works fine, but when converted to a web service, in some instances (which were tested successfully) by the windows app) creates a stack overflow. Do you have an idea of what can cause this? (Note that it works fine when the web service is placed on the localhost). Could it be that the stack size of a Web Service is smaller than that of a Window Application?     UPDATE: I have figured out a way using a form of dynamic sql to fix this problem, thanks anyway for any help. Hi, there is something that I need to accomplish with the use of Full-Text Indexing. This is it: The fact of the matter is when I run a query (with a stored procedure) that looks like (with a parameter (@name) that was obviously defined above (not shown here), this parameter is sent to the stored procedure by an asp.net page, from user input): SELECT Name FROMdbo.UsersTable WHERE FREETEXT(Name, @name) Well, the fact of the matter is that a query like this will return values if, say the parameter @name's value is Joe, and say, there are 10 records of names with Joe in them, but if @name's value is just Jo, then it returns nothing, and this is the problem. Say that there are other records in this table that have Jo in them, like for example, Jole, or John. So the real question is, how do I get it to return values that are not full words, or phrases, but just from part of the word/phrase (like I said above)? Like FREETEXT(Name, @name*), which is not allowed to be used as a query, but, you get the idea. Is there a way to accomplish this? I'm sure there must be, I need to figure this out.     Basically I do have pretty simple database that I'd like to index with Lucene. Domains are: // Person domain class Person { Set<Pair> keys; } // Pair domain class Pair { KeyItem keyItem; String value; } // KeyItem domain, name is unique field within the DB (!!) class KeyItem{ String name; } I've tens of millions of profiles and hundreds of millions of Pairs, however, since most of KeyItem's "name" fields duplicates, there are only few dozens KeyItem instances. Came up to that structure to save on KeyItem instances. Basically any Profile with any fields could be saved into that structure. Lets say we've profile with properties - name: Andrew Morton - eduction: University of New South Wales, - country: Australia, - occupation: Linux programmer. To store it, we'll have single Profile instance, 4 KeyItem instances: name, education,country and occupation, and 4 Pair instances with values: "Andrew Morton", "University of New South Wales", "Australia" and "Linux Programmer". All other profile will reference (all or some) same instances of KeyItem: name, education, country and occupation. My question is, how to index all of that so I can search for Profile for some particular values of KeyItem::name and Pair::value. Ideally I'd like that kind of query to work: name:Andrew* AND occupation:Linux* Should I create custom Indexer and Searcher? Or I could use standard ones and just map KeyItem and Pair as Lucene components somehow?

    How can I replace the same text in folder names in linux? Say I have "Photos_Jun", "Photos_July", "Photos_Aug", etc. whats the simplest way I can rename them like "Photos Jun", "Photos July", etc (basically I want to replace the underscore with a space " ". I have about 200 of these folders. I was looking at solution: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1836563/how-can-i-easily-bulk-rename-files-with-perl It looks like what im looking for however, I dont know how to make a regular expression to match folders that are alphanumeric followed by a "_".     My company is considering working with another company on a particular module. Information would be sent back and forth between us through my web service. Thing is, my web service uses ASP.NET, and they use classic ASP. Everything I've found online says (it's a pain, but) they can communicate, but I'm not clear on some details. Specifically, do I have to enable GET and POST on my web service? If I don't have to, but could, would enabling them make the communication significantly easier/better? And finally, GET and POST are disabled by default because of security. What are the security risks involved in enabling them?

    I have the following requirements I have relational content stored in a SQL Server 2005 database. I want to retrieve this data, transform it and display it in an Excel 2007 document. I would like this to be pulled from within Excel at the click of a button. As far as I can tell I have the following options... Create a view in Sql Server and reference it within a pivot table using a data connection. Create an Excel workbook using VSTO and create a web service which the workbook pulls data from Create a web service and use JScript with XMLHTTP request objects I currently only have a little experience of any of these methods (I'm very familiar with SQL Server although not pivot tables, I've created many web services although I've never used VSTO and I've used javascript extensively, but never in the context of Excel manipulation). Would you recommend one of the above approaches or is there a better way to do this?

  • TFS and code coverage for web application (MVC) assemblies not working

    I've got an MVC web application with associated controller tests that run under a TFS build as per normal. I can see the tests running and passing in the build log and they appear in the "Result details for Any CPU/Release" section of the build I also have a number of other assemblies with associated tests that are running in the same build. Tests are passing and the details are being shown in the results and logs just fine. I've enabled code coverage in the build script and the testrunconfig. The coverage is appearing for all assemblies EXCEPT the web application even though it looks like the tests have been run for it. Is there anything obvious that I have missed or some sort of work around that I need to do? I've searched around for a while and haven't found an answer. Has anyone got code coverage working for MVC web applications?
