  • Do I have to put parent::__construct($config) in my CakePHP data source?

    - by Angel S. Moreno
Is there a good reason to put parent::__construct($config) in the construct of a CakePHP data source I am developing? I see it being used in some of the data sources found in https://github.com/cakephp/datasources/blob/master/models/datasources/amazon_associates_source.php but not sure why. I could just do private $_config = array(); function construct($config){ $this->_config = $config; } and access my $config the same way.

  • How can I split a list with multiple delimiters?

    - by Rob
Basically, I want to enter text into a text area, and then use them. For example variable1:variable2@variable3 variable1:variable2@variable3 variable1:variable2@variable3 I know I could use explode to make each line into an array, and then use a foreach loop to use each line separately, but how would I separate the three variables to use?

  • c permutation of a number

    - by Pkp
    I am writing a program for magic box. As the only way around it is brute force, I wrote a program to compute permutations of a given array using bells algorithm. I wrote in the lines similar to http://programminggeeks.com/c-code-for-permutation/. It does work for array of 3 and 4. It does not work for an arryay of 8 numbers (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8). I see that the combination 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 gets repeated couple of times. Also there are other combinations that gets repeated. I see that certain combinations don't get displayed even. So could someone tell me what is wrong in the program below. Code: include<stdio.h> int len,numperm=1,count=0; display(int a[]){ int i; for(i=0;i<len;i++) printf("%d ",a[i]); printf("\n"); count++; } swap(int *a,int *b){ int temp; temp=*a; *a=*b; *b=temp; } no_of_perm(){ int x; for(x=1;x<=len;x++) numperm=numperm*x; } perm(int a[]){ int x,y; while(count < numperm){ for(x=0;x<len-1;x++){ swap(&a[x],&a[x+1]); display(a); } swap(&a[0],&a[1]); display(a); for(y=len-1;y>0;y--){ swap(&a[y],&a[y-1]); display(a); } swap(&a[len-1],&a[len-2]); display(a); } } main(int argc, char *argv[]){ if(argc<2){ printf("Error\n"); exit(0); } int i,*a=malloc(sizeof(int)*atoi(argv[1])); len=atoi(argv[1]); for(i=0;i<len;i++) a[i]=i+1; no_of_perm(); perm(a); }

  • JSON | Django passing python list

    - by MMRUser
Hi, I'm trying to send a Python list in to client side (encoded as JSON), this is the code snippet which I have written: array_to_js = [vld_id, vld_error, False] array_to_js[2] = True jsonValidateReturn = simplejson.dumps(array_to_js) return HttpResponse(jsonValidateReturn, mimetype='application/json') So my question is how to access it form client side, can I access it like this: jsonValidateReturn[0] or how I assign a name to the returned JSON array in order to access it?

Has python any command or something to make this quickly possible? • array_multisort and dynamic variable options.

    - by websiteguru
Im trying to sort any array with array_multisort and everything is working great. However, based on conditions in my script, I need to change the options. So What I have so far is this: array_multisort( $sort1,SORT_ASC, $sort2,SORT_ASC, $sort3,SORT_ASC, $arraytosort ); and what I would like to have is something like this: $dynamicSort = "$sort1,SORT_ASC,$sort2,SORT_ASC,$sort3,SORT_ASC,"; array_multisort( $dynamicSort, $arraytosort ); Any suggestions?

  • Getting an argument list for a class method

    - by Chris T
What I'd like is for this class class Car { public function __construct(Engine $engine, Make $make, Model $model) { // stuff } } Get an array that has the types needed to construct this car (Engine, Make, Model) in the order they are needed for the constructor. I'm using this for a Dependency Injection-esque thing I'm making.

  • Java interface 'interview'-style problem

    - by Codenotguru
Problem/Task: Write an interface with one method and two classes that implement this interface. Now write a main method with an array that holds an instance of each class. Using a for-each loop, invoke the method upon each item. Is this an interview question? (I'm not sure if the author meant to post this as a question or was looking for an answer to the above.)

Then will my * between a and b be the overloaded * ? How do I achieve overloading an int and yet also use * for int the way they are. Should I create a new type?

  • How to check whether an object has a specific method or not

    - by Ghommey
Hey, I want to use a method of an object. Like $myObject->helloWorld(). However there are a couple of methods so I loop through an array of method names and call the method like this: my $methodName ="helloWorld"; $myObject->$methodNames; This works quite nice but some objects don't have all methods. How can I tell whether $myObject has a method called helloWorld or not?
