  • What is lighttpd's version of "mod_substitute"?

    - by Dennis
Recently I read that Apache 2.2 has a new mod to patch outputs on the fly. mod_substitute provides a mechanism to perform both regular expression and fixed string substitutions on response bodies. The feature is useful when I setup testing/development environment. I can replace hostname without touching the content/code. How can I do similar configuration in lighttpd?

So I need to: ssh [email protected] password: xxxxx I then need to do it again. ssh computer_name password: xxxxx I've tried accessing directly via my computers IP but to of no avail. Is there a way I can use pscp or file zilla to ssh twice so I can transfer files?

  • Custom Windows hotkey to refresh browser window

    - by Prez
I work in a double screen environment where I write code on one screen and preview the results in the other (containing Firefox, Chrome etc.). It would be great if I could somehow make the browser window refresh without manually switching to the browser. So while I write code, I would like to push, for example, Ctrl+Alt+R and the browser window would refresh without any extra effort on my side. Is there any software that could help me to set up such custom hotkey?

  • Can you zip a file from command prompt?

    - by Aaron Bush
I have a batch file that outputs a text file. I thought it would be nice if I could zip it up too. This will be used in an uncontrolled environment so I can't make assumptions about the presence of 3rd party software products such as 7-Zip etc. This needs to use Window's now-built-in capability to zip files.

  • Windows: Making Windows Explorer distinctive (changing background color or file/folder icons) for specific folder

    - by MacGyver
Is there a way to change the background color in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 when the current folder being displayed meets a certain condition? Or is there a way I can change the icons of the files and folders within that folder so it's distinctive--similar to how Tortoise SVN does it for code checked out from a repository? Why? I'd like to do this for a deployment directory on a live server so users don't accidentally commit code to a certain environment. Like myself. :-)

  • What's the Minimum System Spec Recommended For Developer Laptop

    - by DaveDev
I'll be regularly running Visual Studio 2010 Professional, SQLServer Express, Office and at least 1 virtual environment running a Linux Distro. I want the machine to be snappy and responsive even when doing a reasonable amount of Development work. I want to spend what it takes for this, but I don't want to go overboard spending more than I need to. I won't be playing many games or graphics processing so i won't need a monster of a machine. Any recommendations?

  • Using an ATA-100 Hard Drive with a Thermaltake BlacX External Hard Drive Dock

    - by Joe
Is it possible for a Thermaltake BlacX HDD Dock to connect to and recognize an ATA-100 Hard Drive? I know that the specifications for the BlacX say that it only supports SATA & SATAII, but I was hoping for one of three things: 1) for it to still work even though it isn't supported 2) for there to be some sort of workaround to make this possible 3) for there to be another part of some sort that I could purchase to make this work

  • On Linux, why does directory tab completion add a \ to a path starting with ~

    - by crobar
On my work scientific linux 6.2 machine, I often start typing in a directory like below and use tab completion to finish it: ~/mydir But when I hit tab, it becomes e.g. \~/mydirectory/ With an extra forward slash at the start. Why is this, and can I prevent it? It's a pain because using cd etc. doesn't work with the extra slash, I have to start from the actual home directory which is something like /home/username/ On these PCs.

  • Are there any good utilities out there to create datastore / LUN diagrams for VMware ESX 3.5?

    - by rhart
We are working to get a large (inherited) VMware ESX 3.5 environment with multiple SANs under control. We first need to create a diagram / Excel spreadsheet / whatever that explains what VM is stored where. This is a rather time-consuming task to complete by just using the VI client to copy down everything. Is there a good script or tool out there that can do this for us? I would like to see: VM Name, LUN, Actual file-name/location of VMDK/VMX, Power State, Host Any ideas?

  • psybnc on nas: ncurses problem

    - by holms
Trying to get compile psybnc on NAS. ipkg is default package manager in here. I've installed ncurses already, it's in /opt/lib (libncurses.so) [\w] # ls /opt/lib | grep ncurses libncurses.so libncurses.so.5 libncurses.so.5.7 libncursesw.so libncursesw.so.5 libncursesw.so.5.7 [\w] # file libncurses.so.5.7 libncurses.so.5.7: ELF 32-bit LSB shared object, ARM, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked, stripped I added this path to /etc/profile [\w] # echo $PATH /bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/opt/bin:/opt/sbin:/opt/lib So trying to make menuconfig gives me this error [\w] # make menuconfig Initializing Menu-Configuration [*] Running Conversion Tool for older psyBNC Data. Using existent configuration File. [*] Running Autoconfig. System: Linux Socket Libs: Internal. Environment: Internal. Time-Headers: in time.h and sys/time.h Byte order: Big Endian. IPv6-Support: Yes, general support. But no interface configured. async-DNS-Support: Yes. SSL-Support: No openssl found. Get openssl at www.openssl.org Creating Makefile [*] Creating Menu, please wait. This needs the ncurses library. If it is not available, menuconf wont work. If you are using curses, use make menuconfig-curses instead. make: *** [menuconfig] Error 1 Same goes for make menuconfig-curses [\w] # make menuconfig-curses Initializing Menu-Configuration using Curses [*] Running Conversion Tool for older psyBNC Data. Using existent configuration File. [*] Running Autoconfig. System: Linux Socket Libs: Internal. Environment: Internal. Time-Headers: in time.h and sys/time.h Byte order: Big Endian. • How do I integrate a OpenSolaris NAS with AD?

    - by Neo
I basically want a OpenSolaris NAS (ZFS goodies) but I'd like to integrate it with AD, so that when I create a new user in AD, his roaming profile is created in the NAS. That means all his ACLs have to work (I know they're compatible), etc. The tutorials I found don't actually work, so any help would be much appreciated.

  • Macbook memory upgrade question

    - by James Evans
I've read some conflicting articles on Macbooks and memory upgrades. Some say you have to buy the "special" Mac memory (bulls$%t), others say manufacturers like Partriot and Ocz will work fine. My Macbook (non-pro) is about 6 mos old with it's 2 GB of memory (SO-DIMM 1066MHz DDR3). Does anyone have any definitive information of what will work? Thanks!
