    We're working on revising the url structure for some of our movie content, but we aren't quite sure on the best way to handle odd characters. For example, '303/302' '8 1/2 Women' 'Dude, Where's My Car?' '9-1/2 Weeks' So far, we're thinking: /movies/303-302 /movies/8-1-2-women /movies/dude-wheres-my-car /movies/9-1-2-weeks Is this the best solution? Is there anything we're forgetting?

    Does anyone have a good solution for integrating some C# code into a java application? The code is small, so I could re-write in java, but I would rather reuse the code if possible. Don't repeat yourself, etc. Also, I know I can expose the C# as a web service or whatever, but it has some security/encryption stuff in there, so I would rather keep it tightly integrated if possible. Edit: It's going to be on a server-based app, so "downloading" another runtime is irrelevant.

Our attempted solution is to set client read timeouts and come up with a framework for resending requests or otherwise handling those failures gracefully. But really, I'd like to know any root causes for how this might happen rather than addressing the symptoms.

Integration with Visual Studio and/or resharper is a plus and I have nothing against easy setup or a pointer to a tutorial.     How can I run multiple copies of the same app in Debug with Visual Studio? For instance, how do I run app.exe /option1 and app.exe /option2 and still debug both? I know I can run them manually and then attach, but I want an automated solution. I have tried writing a small console app just to run 2 processes, but obviously they are not being run under debugger. Any ideas?

Example: #ruby >1.9 time1 = Time.now - 1.day time2 = Time.now #code to make changes #test: time1 == time2 # TRUE My solution: time1 = time1.strftime("%h:%m").to_time time2 = time2.strftime("%h:%m").to_time #test time1 == time2 #True #passes I was wondering if there was a better way of doing this? Maybe we could keep the Date the same as time1/time2?

    Hi Folks, I'm curious what would be the best practice to extend the Date constructor. The problem I'm facing is, that the Internet Explorer (< 7+8) can't parse a date like new Date('2010-05-11'); I have to admit that this is not a standard method to parse, anyways FireFox and Chrome perform well on that kind of date string. Now I'm wondering, should I just split/parse/rebuild the string before calling new Date() or is there a more elegant solution ?
