  • PHP: Cookie only sent to http://www.xxx.com and NOT http://xxx.com

    Hi, I have a php login which sets 2 cookies once some one login. the problem is that if you login from : http://www.mydomain.com and you go to http://mydomain.com you will find your self not logged in, I think that's because the browser only send the cookies to the first syntax. It's only one domain, the difference is the www. before the domain name, so how to set cookies to the whole domain whatever there is www. or not ? Thanks

  • How can I exceed the 60% Memory Limit of IIS7

    Pardon if this is more stackoverflow vs. serverfault. It seems to be on the border. We have an application that caches a large amount of product data for an e-commerce application using ASP.NET caching. This is a dictionary object with 65K elements, and our calculations put the object's size at ~10GB. Problem: The amount of memory the object consumes seems to be far in excess of our 10GB calculation. BIGGEST CONCERN: We can't seem to use over 60% of the 32GB in the server. What we've tried so far: In machine.config/system.web (sf doesn't allow the tags, pardon the formatting): processModel autoConfig="true" memoryLimit="80" In web.config/system.web/caching/cache (sf doesn't allow the tags, pardon the formatting): privateBytesLimit = "20000000000" (and 0, the default of course) percentagePhysicalMemoryUsedLimit = "90" Environment: Windows 2008R2 x64 32GB RAM IIS7 Nothing seems to allow us to exceed the 60% value.   • CFHTTP and IIS 7 Connection Failture (NOT SSL)

    I'm trying to do a very simple CFHTTP GET call to a local website running on IIS7, however it throws a 408 Connection Failure. I've done all the obvious things: The site is listed in the hosts file locally I've added the CFHTTPPARAM tags for IIS compression issues (deflate;q=0) Surfing to the URL in the browser works fine Doing a CFHTTP to google.com works fine, no local sites work at all. When searching on Google there are others that have had this, but no solutions. Anyone successfully got through this issue?

  • Raid0 performance degradation?

    Not sure if this belongs here or on SuperUser, feel free to move as appropriate. I've noticed the performance on my RAID0 setup seems to have degraded over the past months. The throughput is fine, but I think the random access time has increased or something. In use I generally see about 1-5mb/sec when loading stuff in Visual Studio and other apps and it doesn't seem like the CPU is bottlenecking as the CPU utilization is pretty low. I don't recall what Access Time used to be, but HD Tune is reporting 12.6ms Read throughput is showing as averaging about 125MB/sec so it should be great for sequential reads. Defrag daily and it shows fragmentation levels low, so that shouldn't be an issue. Additional info, Windows 7 x64, Intel raid controller on mobo, WD Black 500GB (I think 32mb cache) x2.

  • Getting a WebView to act exactly like Safari

    (edited to give a better description of the answer I gave) I have created a very simple browser in InterfaceBuilder consisting of a nav bar and a webview. Everything works fine except when I try to tab between input fields is the webview, the focus goes to the nav bar. I'm assuming I need to do something with the responder chain, but I haven't been able to figure out what. Any advice? Thanks, Kelly

These forms should act the same but if I close main form all forms are closed. The visitors won't be made aware that they are being tracked, but obviously nothing is personally identifiable.   • Using Selenium, how can I test a web UI that returns XML instead of HTML?

    I'm using Selenium to unit test my Perl cgi script and all works fine except in one case where my cgi script returns XML content to the web browser instead of returning HTML content. I'm new to Selenium and only pasted in their sample script to get started, but I can't seem to find a Selenium command in any of the documentation that will recognize that my XML response has been returned. The Selenium commands seem to assume that an HTML page is always being returned.

    Hello, I've set up two asp.net applications on a machine, their web.config files contain the same applicationName value in AspNetSqlMembershipProvider item so they share users and roles. The problem sequence is: user logs into application A, opens new tab in a browser logs into application B, his login in application A is signed out and vice versa. Should I use different approach to sharing login information between two applications? Thanks.
