  • Deploying web service

    I am trying to build a webservice that manipulates http requests POST and GET. Most online references show making a website, but really, all I want to do is respond when an HttpPost is sent. I don't know what to put in the website, just want that code to run.   • gdata youtube api 302 'The document has moved'

    I'm trying to get YouTube feeds with the python gdata library. Authentication features work ok, yt_service.ProgrammaticLogin() works, generating subauth token works, etc., but when I try to get some feeds (GetMostRecentVideoFeed, GetYouTubeVideoEntry, even GetFeed, and any other) I get: RequestError: {'status': 302, 'body': '<HTML><HEAD><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html;charset=utf-8">\n<TITLE>302 Moved</TITLE></HEAD><BODY>\n<H1>302 Moved</H1>\nThe document has moved\n<A HREF="http://www.google.com">here</A>.\r\n</BODY></HTML>\r\n', 'reason': 'Redirect received, but redirects_remaining <= 0'} 302 to 'google.com'???   • 10035 error on a blocking socket

    Does anyone have any idea what could cause a 10035 error (EWOULDBLOCK) when reading on a blocking socket with a timeout? This is under Windows XP using the .NET framework version 3.5 socket library. I've never managed to get this myself, but one of my colleagues is getting it all the time. He's sending reasonably large amounts of data to a much slower device and then waiting for a response, which often gives a 10035 error. I'm wondering if there could be issues with TCP buffers filling up, but in that case I would expect the read to wait or timeount. The socket is definitely blocking, not non-blocking.

    Super nub question time! I am trying to use simplejson on the google appengine. In a terminal on my machine I have simplejson installed and working. But my when I try to import it in a script running on the appengine I get an error saying no such library exists.   • How to run unit tests with DSSS and GDC?

    I am very new to D and still battling trying to configure my toolchain. I am running Ubuntu Karmic and would like to use DSSS with GDC and Tango or TangoBos. Till now, I installed GDC from Ubuntu repositories, DSSS, Tango and TangoBos from these repositories and I can compile using dsss + gdc + tangobos. According to DSSS documentation, it should be possible to run the unit tests using $ dsss build --test but on my system, the --test argument is ignored. I have dsss last version (0.78) and its inline help does not include anything about unit tests. Running ldc --unittest works fine (though I do not know exactly which libray it picks up). Is there a way to run my unit tests using the same compiler & library than for compilation? If so, is there a way to automate the testing or will I have to run it module per module?

    OK, I know, there are literally dozens of already available syntax highlighters out there. But I want one specifically, that implements line numbers through <ol/> lists. And that reduces the number of possible candidates to one, Lighter.js. Unfortunately, that is MooTools based, and since I decided some time ago to use jQuery, I don't want to embed yet another library just for syntax highlighting. The SyntaxHighlighter does something similar, but uses tables for the line numbering, and I don't want to hack it, if there is an already available tool, too.

    Tableau is extremely flexible when it comes to visualizing and playing around with datasets, but it is extremely slow when you go into "production mode" and publish a particular view that you've created onto your server. Does anyone know of any tools that can be used to connect to a database, present interactive (or somewhat interactive) dashboards, and perform reasonably well when published to a server? To be clearer, I am looking for something like this -- http://www.corda.com/executive-dashboard-graph-styles.php. I realize that such a product might not exist. If so, is there a particular framework or library that I could use to create killer interactive visualizations of data for the web?

    Hi have noticed today whilst writing a simple iPhone app that Xcode sometimes starts a new folder in applications, whilst your still working on the same app. /Users/Fuzzygoat/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/User/Applications/4E5EF4F0-F410-46A6-888C-0D23BB97D2DC Does anyone know what causes Xcode to swap to a new app folder (i.e. the one named "4E5EF4F0-F410-46A6-888C-0D23BB97D2DC") EDIT_001: One thing I have noticed is that I have been doing a lot of quitting an application and restarting to check a set of archive methods, and that does tend to confuse it sometimes. A couple of times it has not found saved data, I guess this is just a side effect of constantly running the simulator over and over via Xcode. Things seem to go just fine if I test on the Simulator without Xcode, for a start the folder keeps the same name. NB: I am using NSSearchPathForDirectoriesInDomains to get the documents folder each time. gary

    first of all, I am very new to mac and Iphone development. I have a project, that uses the OpenGL framework. In order to try to get some other aspect of the project to work, I may have fiddled around the developer libraries (it was more then a week ago so i don't remember exactly what I did). now when I try to build the project I get "framework not found OpenGL". I have already uninstall xcode completely: sudo /Developer/Library/uninstall-devtools –mode=all and reinstalled it, but stil the same error.

How can I build it correctly to the shared library for using it with python in future? When I learned it, I had only 1 file and I built it with command: gcc -shared -Wl,-soname,hello.so -o hello.so test.cpp -I /usr/include/python2.6/ -lboost_python And I don't know how to configure it in whole project. I'm using Eclipse and Code::Blocks IDEs.

  • What could make GetCursorPos return incorrect coordinates of {0,0} ?

    We are seeing bad behavior in an application when it runs on Server 2008 (not R2). This is a WinForms application, and Control.MousePosition is returning {0,0} no matter where the mouse is on the screen... Control.MousePosition just makes a P/Invoke call to Win32 api GetCursorPos(). There is a control in our library that calls SetWindowsHookEx to hook WH_CALLWNDPROCRET for our entire process. I'm suspicious of this code, but tracing statements show that we're getting in + out of that hook cleanly. What else should I be looking for? Thanks, Dave

    I am using Intel's FORTRAN compiler to compile a numerical library. The test case provided errors out within libc.so.6. When I attach Intel's debugger (IDB) the application runs through successfully. How do I debug a bug where the debugger prevents the bug? Note that the same bug arose with gfortran.     I am creating a streaming eventmachine server. I'm concerned about avoiding blocking IO or doing anything else to muck up the event loop. From what I've read, ruby's non-blocking IO can be used to stream files in a non-blocking way, or I can call next_tick, but I'm a little unclear about which of these approaches is preferable. Part of the problem is that I have not found a good explanation of non-blocking IO library functions in ruby. Short version: Assuming a long-lived network IO operation, several wall clock minutes of streaming per file, transfer, what is the best way to do this in eventmachine without gumming up the event loop? while 1 do file.read do |bytes| @conn.send_data bytes end end I understand that the above code will block and I'm wondering what to put in its place. Also, I cannot use the FileStreamer class that is part of eventmachine as is, because I need to manipulate the data after it's read but before it's sent. Thanks, Noah

But I got error when testing the following: - (id)init { if (self = [super initWithNibName:@"Foo" bundle:nil]) { ... } return self; } The error message is -[UIViewController _loadViewFromNibNamed:bundle:] was unable to load a nib named "Foo" My question: Did I do something wrong? I used YUI JS Drag drop library to make the div as droppable item and made the div surrounding the Applet as Drop Target. When I dropped it in the Div containing Applet, I am Calling some method in the applet from Javascript Drop handler? This is fine, but I have the problem if the applet contains different objects and regions , how to identify which object it is dropped on? is there any other approach to work with DHTML and applets for Drag and Drop?     I am using Joda Time library to convert my String dates to a real date, because this seemed like the easiest solution to do this.   • Are there any free .NET OCR libraries that will perform OCR on an application window directly?

    I am looking for a free .NET OCR library that will be able to do OCR on a given application window or even a image in memory (I can take a snapshot of the application window myself). I have looked at tessnet2 and MODI but both require an image located on disk. I need to use OCR because the application I am trying to write a script for does some wacky stuff that cannot be read using windows API and I need to scrape data from the screen. I have tested both of tessnet2 and MODI and they both can read the text mostly but because this has to run in an enviroment that will not be able to write to disk, I need it to be able to read directly from the applciation window or some type of memory stream. I am thinking OCR is my only soution but there could be other methods that I am not thinking of. Suggestions?

  • TTRequestLoader always raises "TTDASSERT failed: _cacheKey == request.cacheKey"

    I run the TTCatalog application from the Three20 library and encountered this error when click on the "Photo Thumbnails" of the "Three20 Catalog": TTDASSERT failed: _cacheKey == request.cacheKey I look at the breakpoint and see that it is on line 119 of TTRequestLoader.m of the method addRequest. I know that it failed to do the assertion of the cacheKey, but why this error appears even on the sample application, does anyone encounter the same error? What is the workaround of this? Thanks, P/S: I downloaded the Three20 from the git directory just yesterday. So I assume this be the newest one.

    I am always looking to organize and make my resource bookmarks better and easiar to access when I need them. 1 thing I really like is code sharing sites, they let you enter in code and then give you a special link to give a friend or a user on this site even to show then code, This is a very useful tool I believe. So below is my list of code sharing sites, there is 4 on the list and they all have unique features. Some have syntax highlighting for multiple languages, some allow you to save your code as private and only share with the people you give the link to, and some even run the run and output any possible errors.
