  • Wireless will not connect

    Hello, I have installed Ubuntu 10.10 on the same machine as my windows setup. However, it will not connect to my wireless network. It can see its there, it can attempt to connect, yet it will never connect. It will keep bringing up the password prompt everyso often. I have tried turning my security to WEP, I ended up turning it back to WPA2. It is set to AES (noted a few threads on google about that). Can you assist?     Is there a way to open the folder location of a file from within CCRC? While I know I can open/copy from directly within CCRC, it is often useful to work directly with the file from within Windows Explorer. I am looking for something like "open file location" or "open in windows explorer". The folder within CCRC does not appear to allow opening it directly as the double-mouse-click action just expands the tree listing. The path is listed/copyable within the "ClearCase Details" tab, but I am trying to take my laziness to a whole new level by being able to open the folder with a single click.     We have been running nginx - uWSGI, and now we are evaluating putting Varnish as a caching layer between nginx and uWSGI (similar to http://www.heroku.com/how/architecture). But, nginx only supports HTTP 1.0 on the back so it will have to create new connections with Varnish for each request. Many recommend running nginx in front of Varnish, but wouldn't it make much more sense to use something like Cherokee so that you eliminate the HTTP connection overhead since it supports HTTP 1.1 on the back?

    Every now and then you come across a problem when there is nothing in the "troubleshooting manual" which can help you. Instead you need to think outside the box. This happened to me two or three years back. Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) 11g did not start. The error reported back by OPMN was generic and gave no clue, and worse the HTTP Server error log was empty, and remained so even after I had increased the OPMN and HTTP Server log levels. After checking configuration files, operating system resources, etc I was still no nearer the solution. And then the light bulb moment! OHS is based on Apache - what happens if I attempt to start HTTP Server using the native apache command. Trouble was the OHS 11g solution has its binaries and configuration files in separate "home" directories ORACLE_HOME contains the binaries ORACLE_INSTANCE contains the configuration files How to set the environment so that native apache commands run without error? To be honest, I cannot remember the exact cause and solution to that OHS problem two or three years ago.     Hello, how to code HTTP URL blacklisting driver for both XP and Vista/7? I need it for special software for schools any ideas about HTTPS or VPN? I was thinking about firefox, IE,... extension. Not bulletproof, but better than nothing. It's just school. Thanks
