• What license do I need to use gSOAP in a commercial product?

  I'd like to use gSOAP in a product which will be distributed commercially. The use I have in mind is what I suspect is a pretty typical workflow—generating a header using wsdl2h, consuming the header with soapcpp2, and then calling the functions generated in the stub in my code. I'm not 100 percent sure which license(s) I need to use to be able to do this. Has anybody here already gone through this and figured out the solution?

• Using 'Copy as cURL' from Chrome in windows command line

  So, Google Chrome as this great 'copy as cURL' option under 'Network' of the Chrome DevTools. Works great in command lines for linux but not in windows. Apparently it has something to do with the single quotes as the error I get is protocol 'http not supported In other words its reading that single quote. Is there a simple way to make this formatable for windows? I tried replacing all the single quotes with double quotes but then nothing happens at all. Do they actually save the ad/post in the database before continuing to Step 2 (Preview) but set a flag (like a boolean field called preview set to true)? It looks like they set a token paramater but I'm not sure what it's used for) I'm interested in this because it seems to go against the CRUD/REST and I thought it would be good to know how it worked. • WCF SERVICE gives us faulted response

  My service is hosted on IIS7, windows 2008 server with sql server2008 express. I am getting following error when the process takes more than 2 minutes i got this response, i m unable to find out either it is due to sql server time out or wcf time out. my sql server process is also took long. An error occurred while receiving the HTTP response to http://REMOTE/SynchronizationService_test/SyncService.svc. This could be due to the service endpoint binding not using the HTTP protocol. This could also be due to an HTTP request context being aborted by the server (possibly due to the service shutting down). See server logs for more details.

  I'm trying to put together a very simple REST-style interface for communicating with our partners. An example object in the API is a partner, which we'd like to have serialized like this: <partner> <id>ID</id> <name>NAME</name> </partner> This is fairly simply to achieve using the .NET 4.0 WCF REST template if we simply declare a partner class as: public class Partner { public int Id {get; set;} public string Name {get; set;} } But when I use the Entity Framework to define and store Partner objects, the resulting serialization looks something like this: <Partner p1:Id="NCNameString" p1:Ref="NCNameString" xmlns:p1="http://schemas.microsoft.com/2003/10/Serialization/" xmlns="http://schemas.datacontract.org/2004/07/TheTradeDesk.AdPlatform.Provisioning"> <EntityKey p1:Id="NCNameString" p1:Ref="NCNameString" xmlns="http://schemas.datacontract.org/2004/07/System.Data.Objects.DataClasses"> <EntityContainerName xmlns="http://schemas.datacontract.org/2004/07/System.Data">String content</EntityContainerName> <EntityKeyValues xmlns="http://schemas.datacontract.org/2004/07/System.Data"> ... • PHP Increasing writing to page speed.

  I'm currently writing out xml and have done the following: header ("content-type: text/xml"); header ("content-length: ".strlen($xml)); $xml being the xml to be written out. I'm near about 1.8 megs of text (which I found via firebug), it seems as the writing is taking more time than the script to run.. is there a way to increase this write speed? Thank you in advance.

• FastCGI C++ program and missing SCRIPT_NAME

  Hi guys, i'm studying the fastcgi developement kit because i'm writing a new scripting language and i'd like to write a fastcgi version of the interpreter to run scripts as webpages. I'm using this example from the sdk, located at /srv/http/bin/echocpp So, in my httpd.conf file, i have the following lines : FastCgiServer /srv/http/bin/echocpp -idle-timeout 120 -processes 4 ScriptAlias / /srv/http/bin/echocpp/ ... ... AddHandler fastcgi-script hy Where 'hy' is the extensions of my scripts. Then, when i try browse, for instance http://localhost/~evilsocket/prime.hy I see all the environment variables as expected from the echo-cpp.cpp programm, except for the SCRIPT_NAME that is empty. Is there something i'm missing out of this? How am i supposed to obtain the full path of the script to run it inside my fastcgi version of the interpreter? Thanks

• Get controller method caller (3rd party webservice)

  Is it possible to retrieve the URL of a 3rd party webservice calling my controller method? Things like Request.Current.Url refer to my own URL (/someController/someAction/). The 3rd party webservice is sending HTTP POST data to my /someController/someAction and I wish to send back a HTTP POST message to the caller of the method, the 3rd party webservice, without using return Content["some response"] which will force me to exit the method. Since the answer is plain text I would like to send it using HTTP Post. What I actually try to do is respond to the calling webservice without exiting my method (return Content() will exit) so I can call other methods to process the data send to me by the webservice. I want to first tell the webservice I received their stuff and than process, in this way when a processing error occurs the webservice at least will not resend old data. Is there another way to do this than building your own HTTP post?

• Any way to add tabbed forms in django administration site ?

  When using Django "out-of-the-box" administration forms, the "change form" pages can be rather long for complex models (with a lot of fields). I would like to use tabs in the "change form", so things can be more readable (group fields by tabs...) Instead of doing it all by myself, by modifiying the 'change_form.html' admin template, I was wondering whether somebody has already done that and would like to share the code, or whether an existing Django-plugin already exist.
