What I want to do/test is (not sure if its recommendable or doable?), we know that System.out.println("Message"); will output the "Message" in command prompt. Is it possible to display the current time, without having to repeatly use the system.out.println()? Name, like instead of displaying: 10:00:01 10:00:02 10:00:03 I wand to have liek this: 10:00:0X where X will continue counting

  • Stored Procedure in postgresql, multiple queries w/ agreggates.

    I'm trying to write a store procedure that can take some input parameters (obviously), run multiple queries against those, taking the output from those and doing calculations, and from those calculations and the original queries, outputting a formatted text string like: Number of Rows for max(Z) matching condition x and y of total rows matching x (x&y/x*100). To explain the max(Z) bit, this will be the username field, it won't matter which actual entry is picked, because the where clause will filter the results by user id, is there a saner way to do this?

    I want to define a function replicate to replicate a list of numbers by its value using only list comprehension, for example: replicate [5,1,3,2,8,1,2] output: [5,5,5,5,5,1,3,3,3,2,2,8,8,8,8,8,8,8,8,1,2,2] I know this would be easy to use the 'replicate' built in function but only list comprehension is allow, how can I do this?   • MySQL Order By Problem, Why is 1000 being seen as Smaller than 2?

    I have a strange problem, I am trying to order the output of a set of records by a field called displayOrder. Now even though record A has a displayOrder of 2 and record B has a displayOrder of 1000, record B still shows up before record A. Here's my select statement: SELECT * FROM items ORDER BY displayOrder ASC It works fine until I have a record greater than 9, then 10, 11, 12, etc are seen as smaller than 2, 3, 4 because they start with the number 1. Any way to fox this?

  • How to "grep" out specific line ranges of a file

    There are often times I'll grep -l whatev file to find what I'm looking for. Say the output is 1234: whatev 1 5555: whatev 2 6643: whatev 3 If I want to then just extract the lines between 1234 and 5555, is there a tool to do that? For static files I have a script that does wc -l of the file and then does the math to split it out with tail & head but that doesn't work out so well with log files that are constantly being written to.

It should have been more like: Can I have STL containers of a base type stored by-value in which the elements exhibit polymorphic behavior? If you are asking the question in terms of C++, the answer is "no." At some point, you will slice objects stored by-value. Now I ask the question again, but strictly in terms of C++11. With the changes to the language and the standard libraries, is it now possible to store polymorphic objects by value in an STL container? I'm well aware of the possibility of storing a smart pointer to the base class in the container -- this is not what I'm looking for, as I'm trying to construct objects on the stack without using new.     For my Contact class, the property EmailAddress is marked with the [DataType(DataType.EmailAddress)] attribute. In my view, using Html.Display("EmailAddress") and Html.DisplayFor(c => c.EmailAddress) yields different results. The former outputs a mailto: link, which is the expected behavior, while the latter simply outputs the email address as plain text. My question is why the different behavior, I expected these two methods to have the same output.
