Should I use a separate database for each of these sites or use a single database with a 'site' field in each table?   've been puzzling over cronjobs for the last few hours. I've read documentation and examples. I understand the basics and concepts, but haven't gotten anything to work. So I would appreciate some help with this total noob dilemma. The ultimate goal is to schedule the execution of a django function every day. Before I get that far, I want to know that I can schedule any old script to run, first once, then on a regular basis. So I want to: 1) Write a simple script (perhaps a bash script) that will allow me to determine that yes, it did indeed run successfully, or that it failed. 2) schedule this script to run at the top of the hour I tried writing a bash script that simple output some text to the terminal: #!/bin/bash echo "The script ran" Then I dropped this into a .txt file MAILTO = *****.******@gmail.com 05 * * * * /home/vadmin/development/test.sh But nothing happened. I'm sure I did many things wrong. Where do I start to fix all of this?

  I was just reading a bit about the HQ9+ programming language ( http://esolangs.org/wiki/HQ9 , http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HQ9%2B and http://www.cliff.biffle.org/esoterica/hq9plus.html ), and it tells me something about a so called 'accumulator' which can be incremented, but not be accessed. • Need to write a daemon in linux, not sure what to use C++ or C

  Hello everyone, I have a little problem picking the right language to write my daemon, I am confused between C and C++, I want to use C++ because it is more expanded than C, but I want to use C because it is the starting point of everything in linux, I want to go for C++ as I have many resources about it, so, does it make any difference if I pick C++ instead of C? and what I will have good if I learn C more? I feel like if I go into C++ I will cover C within C++... Regards

• HP DL380 Losing Drive Array

  I have an HP Proliant DG380 G7 dropping one of it's arrays every hour, on the hour, for 2-5 minutes. The OS is SBS 2011 Standard, the servers runs Exchange, DC, files & Trend WFBS 8. I can watch the D Drive disappear for the duration of the problem - then it just comes back up and all is well again. There is no loss of network connectivity, although the mapped drives also disappear. We thought it might be to do with Sharepoint / VSS writers failing but it looks as though this is a symptom rather than cause. It survives a reboot. Any ideas as to what could be running on a regular schedule like this?
