  • opengl es render but dont show on display

    - by Sponge
    i have written a object selection algorithm which picks the objects by there color. i give every object an unique color and then i just have to use the glReadPixels method to check which object was selected this works fine and is really fast but the problem is that the frame is displayed on the screen with all the picking-colors so the screen flashes every time you select something. so my question is: how do i write everything in the correct display buffer but dont display it on the screen to avoid these flashes?

  • getAssetFileDescriptor from ZipResourceFile merges all mp3 in mediaplayer SOLVED

    - by Jordi
    I've a program with an Expansion file that stores 4 mp3 in a obb file (zip without compression). I can retrieve the data, but instead of taking the audio file i asked for, it merges ALL audio files in the same AssetFileDescriptor. ---SOLVED--- with the fixes Support class public AssetFileDescriptor getaudio(){ ZipResourceFile expansionFile = APKExpansionSupport.getAPKExpansionZipFile(c,21,21); AssetFileDescriptor afd=null; if(take==1) { afd = expansionFile.getAssetFileDescriptor("file01.mp3"); }else if(take==2 { afd = expansionFile.getAssetFileDescriptor("file02.mp3"); } //more els eif ............ return afd; } In the MediaPlayer class AssetFileDescriptor fd = Llistat.getInstance().getAudio(); mPlayer.setDataSource(fd.getFileDescriptor(), fd.getStartOffset(),fd.getLength()); mPlayer.prepare(); fd.close(); My problem was that i directly was returning and using a FileDescriptor, while i was needing the AssetFileDescriptor to take its StartOffset and Length.

  • NullPointerException using EndlessAdapter with SimpleAdapter

    - by android_dev
    Hello, I am using EndlessAdapter from commonsguy with a SimpleAdapter. I can load data when I make a scroll down without problems, but I have a NullPointerException when I make a scroll up. The problem is in the method @Override public View getView(int position, View convertView,ViewGroup parent) { return wrapped.getView(position, convertView, parent); } from the class AdapterWrapper. The call to wrapped.getView(position, convertView,parent) raises the exception and I don´t know why. This is my implementation of EndlessAdapter: //Inner class in SearchTextActivity class DemoAdapter extends EndlessAdapter { private RotateAnimation rotate = null; DemoAdapter(ArrayList<HashMap<String, String>> result) { super(new SimpleAdapter(SearchTracksActivity.this, result, R.layout.textlist_item, PROJECTION_COLUMNS, VIEW_MAPPINGS)); rotate = new RotateAnimation( 0f, 360f, Animation.RELATIVE_TO_SELF, 0.5f, Animation.RELATIVE_TO_SELF, 0.5f); rotate.setDuration(600); rotate.setRepeatMode(Animation.RESTART); rotate.setRepeatCount(Animation.INFINITE); } @Override protected View getPendingView(ViewGroup parent) { View row=getLayoutInflater().inflate(R.layout.textlist_item, null); View child=row.findViewById(R.id.title); child.setVisibility(View.GONE); child=row.findViewById(R.id.username); child.setVisibility(View.GONE); child=row.findViewById(R.id.throbber); child.setVisibility(View.VISIBLE); child.startAnimation(rotate); return row; } @Override @SuppressWarnings("unchecked") protected void rebindPendingView(int position, View row) { HashMap<String, String> res = (HashMap<String, String>)getWrappedAdapter().getItem(position); View child=row.findViewById(R.id.title); ((TextView)child).setText(res.get("title")); child.setVisibility(View.VISIBLE); child=row.findViewById(R.id.username); ((TextView)child).setText(res.get("username")); child.setVisibility(View.VISIBLE); ImageView throbber=(ImageView)row.findViewById(R.id.throbber); throbber.setVisibility(View.GONE); throbber.clearAnimation(); } boolean mFinal = true; @Override protected boolean cacheInBackground() { EditText searchText = (EditText)findViewById(R.id.searchText); String textToSearch = searchText.getText().toString(); Util.getSc().searchText(textToSearch , offset, limit, new ResultListener<ArrayList<Text>>() { @Override public void onError(Exception e) { e.toString(); mFinal = false; } @Override public void onSuccess(ArrayList<Text> result) { if(result.size() == 0){ mFinal = false; }else{ texts.addAll(result); offset++; } } }); return mFinal; } @Override protected void appendCachedData() { for(Text text : texts){ result.add(text.getMapValues()); } texts.clear(); } } And I use it this way: public class SearchTextActivity extends AbstractListActivity { private static final String[] PROJECTION_COLUMNS = new String[] { TextStore.Text.TITLE, TextStore.Text.USER_NAME}; private static final int[] VIEW_MAPPINGS = new int[] { R.id.Text_title, R.id.Text_username}; ArrayList<HashMap<String, String>> result; static ArrayList<Text> texts; static int offset = 0; static int limit = 1; @Override void onAbstractCreate(Bundle savedInstance) { setContentView(R.layout.search_tracks); setupViews(); } private void setupViews() { ImageButton searchButton = (ImageButton)findViewById(R.id.searchButton); updateView(); } SimpleAdapter adapter; void updateView(){ if(result == null) { result = new ArrayList<HashMap<String, String>>(); } if(tracks == null) { texts = new ArrayList<Text>(); } } public void sendQuery(View v){ offset = 0; texts.clear(); result.clear(); setListAdapter(new DemoAdapter(result)); } } Does anybody knows what could be the problem? Thank you in advance

  • Trying to get Package Version Information to display in an "About" message.

    - by user313135
    Hello, I have been struggling with getting the versionName for a running application from the PackageInfo Object type. I have constructed a Parcelable Interface with all of the fields associated with the PackageInfo Object type. The primary input for that interface method is a Parcel object. I cannot seem to figure out how to correctly associate these Parcelable, Parcel, and PackageInfo objects. Is there any sample code out there that I can look at? Doesn't seem like it should be that difficult but it seems to be stumping me. Thanks Jazz

  • Androids ExpandableListView - where to put the button listener for buttons that are children

    - by CommonKnowledge
    I have been playing around a lot with the ExpandableListView and I cannot figure out where to add the button listeners for the button that will be the children in the view. I did manage to get a button listener working that uses getChildView() below, but it seems to be the same listener for all the buttons. The best case scenario is that I would be able to implement the button listeners in the class that instantiates the ExpandableListAdapter class, and not have to put the listeners in the actual ExpandableListAdapter class. At this point I don't even know if that is possible I have been experimenting with this tutorial/code: HERE getChildView() @Override public View getChildView(int set_new, int child_position, boolean view, View view1, ViewGroup view_group1) { ChildHolder childHolder; if (view1 == null) { view1 = LayoutInflater.from(info_context).inflate(R.layout.list_group_item_lv, null); childHolder = new ChildHolder(); childHolder.section_btn = (Button)view1.findViewById(R.id.item_title); view1.setTag(childHolder); childHolder.section_btn.setOnClickListener(new OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View v) { Toast.makeText(info_context, "button pushed", Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show(); } }); }else { childHolder = (ChildHolder) view1.getTag(); } childHolder.section_btn.setText(children_collection.get(set_new).GroupItemCollection.get(child_position).section); Typeface tf = Typeface.createFromAsset(info_context.getAssets(), "fonts/AGENCYR.TTF"); childHolder.section_btn.setTypeface(tf); return view1; } Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you and I will be standing by.

  • How to keep activity on Force Close?

    - by SushiRoll
    I have this piece of code that's really prone to errors so I wrapped it with try{}catch statement. I don't want to go back to the previous activity, I just want it to stay on the current activity so that the user can edit whatever is wrong with them. How do I implement this? try{ orgi.insertOrThrow(tableName, null, values); Toast.makeText(this, "You have successfully created a new profile!", 2).show(); gotoProfileList(); Log.e(getClass().getSimpleName(),"Successfully added to database"); }catch(SQLiteException se){ Log.e(getClass().getSimpleName(), "Database connection failed!" + se); //Stay in this activity... }finally{ if (orgi != null){ orgi.close(); } } Forget it, I was able to solve my own problem by showing up an alertDialog that tells the user about the error. Thanks anyways. :) try{ orgi.insertOrThrow(tableName, null, values); Toast.makeText(this, "You have successfully created a new profile!", 2).show(); gotoProfileList(); Log.e(getClass().getSimpleName(),"Successfully added to database"); }catch(SQLiteException se){ Log.e(getClass().getSimpleName(), "Database connection failed!" + se); displayError(); //stayInThisActivity(); }finally{ if (orgi != null){ orgi.close(); } public void displayError(){ AlertDialog.Builder error = new AlertDialog.Builder(this); error.setMessage("That profile name already exists, try another one.").setCancelable(false).setPositiveButton("Yes",new DialogInterface.OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(DialogInterface dialog, int which) { dialog.cancel(); } }); AlertDialog alert = error.create(); alert.setTitle("Error"); alert.show(); }

  • Loading a Browser Page in the Background

    - by stormin986
    I have a tabbed interface (one activity per tab) where one tab will be a browser view displaying a webpage. The application loads in a different activity / view, but I want it to begin to download the webpage in the background as soon as the app launches, before the user ever clicks on that tab and initiates that activity. How can I do this? Thanks! -S

  • Why is my onSharedPreferenceChangeListener being called multiple times when I change a pref.

    - by brockoli
    I've written an app with 3 tabs. Each tab has the same list view with different data sources. I have setup SharedPreferences in the tabhost activity, but I put my onSharedPreferenceChangeListener method in my listactivity. When I change a preference, my listener gets called and it updates my database. This is all working. However, if I change the data in tab 1, it calls my listener once. If I change the data for tab 2 it calls it twice and if I change the data in tab 3 it calls it three times. Any idea why it works this way? I guess I could setup my shared prefs in my listactivity and that might avoid the issue, but I'm curious why my listener is called multiple times if it's in a different tab. brockoli

  • Displaying NON-ASCII Characters using HttpClient

    - by Abdullah Gheith
    So, i am using this code to get the whole HTML of a website. But i dont seem to get non-ascii characters with me. all i get is diamonds with question mark. characters like this: å, appears like this: ? I doubt its because of the charset, what could it then be? Log.e("HTML", "henter htmlen.."); String url = "http://beep.tv2.dk"; HttpClient client = new DefaultHttpClient(); client.getParams().setParameter(CoreProtocolPNames.PROTOCOL_VERSION, HttpVersion.HTTP_1_1); client.getParams().setParameter(CoreProtocolPNames.HTTP_ELEMENT_CHARSET, "UTF-8"); HttpGet request = new HttpGet(url); HttpResponse response = client.execute(request); Header h = HeaderValueFormatter response.addHeader(header) String html = ""; InputStream in = response.getEntity().getContent(); BufferedReader reader = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(in)); StringBuilder str = new StringBuilder(); String line = null; while((line = reader.readLine()) != null) { str.append(line); } in.close(); //b = false; html = str.toString();

  • Exception in DatePickerDialog

    - by Miya
    Hi, i am trying to create a DatePickerDialog in the class 'dateDisplay.class'. I am calling this activity from 'main.class'. If I call the 'dateDisplay.class' using startActivity(), then the DatePickerDialog works fine. But actually I am using an ActivityGroup (for using tab in my application) and I am starting the 'dateDisplay.class' using the following code : Intent dateIntent=new Intent(context,dateDisplay.class); View v=getLocalActivityManager().startActivity("2",dateIntent.addFlags(Intent.FLAG_ACTIVITY_CLEAR_TOP)).getDecorView(); setContentView(v); But an exception is caught, on calling the onCreateDialog() function. And the process is suddently stopped. It shows TargetInvocationException is occured. How can I correct the code? Following is my code: public Dialog onCreateDialog(int id,Bundle b) { Calendar c=Calendar.getInstance(); int day=c.get(Calendar.DAY_OF_MONTH); int month=c.get(Calendar.MONTH); int year=c.get(Calendar.YEAR); Dialog d = null; if(id==DATE_DIALOG_ID) { return new DatePickerDialog(this,dateChangeListener,year,month,day); } else { return null; } } Please help me.. Thank you..

  • Streaming Youtube Videos

    - by Vinay
    Hi All, I am writing an application to play the youtube videos using streaming. First method: I am getting the RTSP URL to the video using GData APIs. Here is the code to play the RTSP url. VideoView mVideoView = new VideoView(this); setContentView(mVideoView); mVideoView.setVideoURI(Uri.parse("rtsp://rtsp2.youtube.com/CiILENy73wIaGQkDwpjrUxOWQBMYESARFEgGUgZ2aWRlb3MM/0/0/0/video.3gp")); mVideoView.start(); But it throws error on both G1 device and emulator (Emulator has some firewall problem as per mailing list) Here is the error message ERROR/PlayerDriver(35): Command PLAYER_INIT completed with an error or info PVMFFailure Second method: A hack way to get the path of 3gp file from http://www.youtube.com/get_video?v=&t=<&<.. After getting the file path and I can call setVideoURI and it plays fine. But it is a hack way to achieve the requirement. I have checked the Youtube App also, it also does the hack way to play the youtube url.(Checked with logcat) I have tried changing from VideoView to MediaPlayer but no change in the error. Is there a "Clean" way to do this? Please let me know your thoughts.

  • Accept All Cookies via HttpClient

    - by Vinay
    So this is currently how my app is set up: 1.) Login Activity. 2.) Once logged in, other activities may be fired up that use PHP scripts that require the cookies sent from logging in. I am using one HttpClient across my app to ensure that the same cookies are used, but my problem is that I am getting 2 of the 3 cookies rejected. I do not care about the validity of the cookies, but I do need them to be accepted. I tried setting the CookiePolicy, but that hasn't worked either. This is what logcat is saying: 11-26 10:33:57.613: WARN/ResponseProcessCookies(271): Cookie rejected: "[version: 0] [name: cookie_user_id][value: 1][domain: www.trackallthethings.com][path: trackallthethings][expiry: Sun Nov 25 11:33:00 CST 2012]". Illegal path attribute "trackallthethings". Path of origin: "/mobile-api/login.php" 11-26 10:33:57.593: WARN/ResponseProcessCookies(271): Cookie rejected: "[version: 0][name: cookie_session_id][value: 1985208971][domain: www.trackallthethings.com][path: trackallthethings][expiry: Sun Nov 25 11:33:00 CST 2012]". Illegal path attribute "trackallthethings". Path of origin: "/mobile-api/login.php" I am sure that my actual code is correct (my app still logs in correctly, just doesn't accept the aforementioned cookies), but here it is anyway: HttpGet httpget = new HttpGet(//MY URL); HttpResponse response; response = Main.httpclient.execute(httpget); HttpEntity entity = response.getEntity(); InputStream in = entity.getContent(); BufferedReader reader = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(in)); StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder(); From here I use the StringBuilder to simply get the String of the response. Nothing fancy. I understand that the reason my cookies are being rejected is because of an "Illegal path attribute" (I am running a script at /mobile-api/login.php whereas the cookie will return with a path of just "/" for trackallthethings), but I would like to accept the cookies anyhow. Is there a way to do this?

  • Starting Frame-By-Frame Animation

    - by OceanBlue
    Hi, I have a basic question about starting a frame-by-frame animation. When I call the AnimationDrawable.start() method from my code directly, it doesn't seem to work. public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { ... mAnimation.start(); ... } But if I put this line inside the onClick() callback method of a button, pressing the buton starts the animation. Why doesn't this line work in the code? Thanks!

  • Activity gets killed while executing the camera intent

    - by BlackRider
    In my app I call the system camera to take a picture, and then handle the result in onActivityResult. You know, the usual. It used to work, but now my calling activity gets killed while I'm taking the picture. Specifically, onDestroy() is called on my activity right after I press the camera shutter. The photo does get taken & saved (I've checked that the file gets written on the SD card). After I accept the photo, instead of returning to the calling activity and invoking onActivityResult, the previous activity in the activity stack gets called. I see no exceptions in the logcat. My custom exception handler doesn't get called. If it matters, my app also includes a service that listens to GPS updates, but I unregister all the receivers in onPause(). Here's the call stack for MyCallingActivity.onDestroy(): Thread [<1> main] (Suspended (breakpoint at line 303 in NewPlaceDetailsActivity)) NewPlaceDetailsActivity.onDestroy() line: 303 ActivityThread.performDestroyActivity(IBinder, boolean, int, boolean) line: 2663 ActivityThread.handleDestroyActivity(IBinder, boolean, int, boolean) line: 2694 ActivityThread.access$2100(ActivityThread, IBinder, boolean, int, boolean) line: 117 BinderProxy(ActivityThread$H).handleMessage(Message) line: 968 ActivityThread$H(Handler).dispatchMessage(Message) line: 99 Looper.loop() line: 130 ActivityThread.main(String[]) line: 3687 Method.invokeNative(Object, Object[], Class, Class[], Class, int, boolean) line: not available [native method] Method.invoke(Object, Object...) line: 507 ZygoteInit$MethodAndArgsCaller.run() line: 842 ZygoteInit.main(String[]) line: 600 NativeStart.main(String[]) line: not available [native method] This is how I start the camera activity, in case you're wondering: protected void startCamera() { createPhotoDirsIfNeeded(); String fileName = "temp.jpg"; ContentValues values = new ContentValues(); values.put(MediaStore.Images.Media.TITLE, fileName); m_capturedImageUri = getContentResolver().insert(MediaStore.Images.Media.EXTERNAL_CONTENT_URI, values); m_photoFileName = APP_PHOTO_PATH + "/" + DateFormat.format(DATE_FORMAT, Calendar.getInstance().getTime()) + ".jpg"; File picFile = new File(m_photoFileName); if(picFile.exists()) { picFile.delete(); } // start the camera activity Intent intent = new Intent(MediaStore.ACTION_IMAGE_CAPTURE); intent.putExtra(MediaStore.EXTRA_OUTPUT, Uri.fromFile(picFile)); startActivityForResult(intent, IntentHelper.REQUEST_TAKE_PHOTO); } How can I find out why does my activity get killed, AND removed from the stack instead of being created again?

  • Is it possible to get last modified date from an assets file?

    - by Nathan Fig
    Hi, all Bizarre question: is it possible to get the last modified date of a file in the assets folder, or would that be pointless and impossible? I ask because I'm copying a read-only database out of there into the data folder on application start up, but would rather only perform the copy if the existing file is older than the one stored in the assets folder (or if the file doesn't exist). If that's not possible, anyone know of a better convention? I can post that in a separate question if needed. TIA!

  • HttpURLConnection! Connection.getInputStream is java.io.FileNotFoundException

    - by user3643283
    I created a method "UPLPAD2" to upload file to server. Splitting my file to packets(10MB). It's OK (100%). But when i call getInputStream, i get FileNotFoundException. I think, in loop, i make new HttpURLConnection to set "setRequestProperty". This is a problem. Here's my code: @SuppressLint("NewApi") public int upload2(URL url, String filePath, OnProgressUpdate progressCallBack, AtomicInteger cancelHandle) throws IOException { HttpURLConnection connection = null; InputStream fileStream = null; OutputStream out = null; InputStream in = null; HttpResponse response = new HttpResponse(); Log.e("Upload_Url_Util", url.getFile()); Log.e("Upload_FilePath_Util", filePath); long total = 0; try { // Write the request. // Read from filePath and upload to server (url) byte[] buf = new byte[1024]; fileStream = new FileInputStream(filePath); long lenghtOfFile = (new java.io.File(filePath)).length(); Log.e("LENGHT_Of_File", lenghtOfFile + ""); int totalPacket = 5 * 1024 * 1024; // 10 MB int totalChunk = (int) ((lenghtOfFile + (totalPacket - 1)) / totalPacket); String headerValue = ""; String contentLenght = ""; for (int i = 0; i < totalChunk; i++) { long from = i * totalPacket; long to = 0; if ((from + totalPacket) > lenghtOfFile) { to = lenghtOfFile; } else { to = (totalPacket * (i + 1)); } to = to - 1; headerValue = "bytes " + from + "-" + to + "/" + lenghtOfFile; contentLenght = "Content-Length:" + (to - from + 1); Log.e("Conten_LENGHT", contentLenght); connection = client.open(url); connection.setRequestMethod("POST"); connection.setRequestProperty("Content-Range", headerValue); connection.setRequestProperty("Content-Length", Long.toString(to - from + 1)); out = connection.getOutputStream(); Log.e("Lenght_Of_File", lenghtOfFile + ""); Log.e("Total_Packet", totalPacket + ""); Log.e("Total_Chunk", totalChunk + ""); Log.e("Header_Valure", headerValue); int read = 1; while (read > 0 && cancelHandle.intValue() == 0 && total < totalPacket * (i + 1)) { read = fileStream.read(buf); if (read > 0) { out.write(buf, 0, read); total += read; progressCallBack .onProgressUpdate((int) ((total * 100) / lenghtOfFile)); } } Log.e("TOTAL_", total + "------" + totalPacket * (i + 1)); Log.e("I_", i + ""); Log.e("LENGHT_Of_File", lenghtOfFile + ""); if (i < totalChunk - 1) { connection.disconnect(); } out.close(); } // Read the response. response.setHttpCode(connection.getResponseCode()); in = connection.getInputStream(); // I GET ERROR HERE. if (connection.getResponseCode() != HttpURLConnection.HTTP_OK) { throw new IOException("Unexpected HTTP response: " + connection.getResponseCode() + " " + connection.getResponseMessage()); } byte[] body = readFully(in); response.setBody(body); response.setHeaderFields(connection.getHeaderFields()); if (cancelHandle.intValue() != 0) { return 1; } JSONObject jo = new JSONObject(response.getBodyAsString()); Log.e("Upload_Body_res_", response.getBodyAsString()); if (jo.has("error")) { if (jo.has("code")) { int errCode = jo.getInt("code"); Log.e("Upload_Had_errcode", errCode + ""); return errCode; } else { return 504; } } Log.e("RESPONE_BODY_UPLOAD", response.getBodyAsString() + ""); return 0; } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); Log.e("Http_UpLoad_Response_Exception", e.toString()); response.setHttpCode(connection.getResponseCode()); Log.e("ErrorCode_Upload_Util_Return", response.getHttpCode() + ""); if (connection.getResponseCode() == 200) { return 1; } else if (connection.getResponseCode() == 0) { return 1; } else { return response.getHttpCode(); } // Log.e("ErrorCode_Upload_Util_Return", response.getHttpCode()+""); } finally { if (fileStream != null) fileStream.close(); if (out != null) out.close(); if (in != null) in.close(); } } And Logcat 06-12 09:39:29.558: W/System.err(30740): java.io.FileNotFoundException: http://download-f77c.fshare.vn/upload/NRHAwh+bUCxjUtcD4cn9xqkADpdL32AT9pZm7zaboHLwJHLxOPxUX9CQxOeBRgelkjeNM5XcK11M1V-x 06-12 09:39:29.558: W/System.err(30740): at com.squareup.okhttp.internal.http.HttpURLConnectionImpl.getInputStream(HttpURLConnectionImpl.java:187) 06-12 09:39:29.563: W/System.err(30740): at com.fsharemobile.client.HttpUtil.upload2(HttpUtil.java:383) 06-12 09:39:29.563: W/System.err(30740): at com.fsharemobile.fragments.ExplorerFragment$7$1.run(ExplorerFragment.java:992) 06-12 09:39:29.568: W/System.err(30740): at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:856) 06-12 09:39:29.568: E/Http_UpLoad_Response_Exception(30740): java.io.FileNotFoundException: http://download-f77c.fshare.vn/upload/NRHAwh+bUCxjUtcD4cn9xqkADpdL32AT9pZm7zaboHLwJHLxOPxUX9CQxOeBRgelkjeNM5XcK11M1V-x

  • Stuck in Infinite Loop while PostInvalidating

    - by Nicholas Roge
    I'm trying to test something, however, the loop I'm using keeps getting stuck while running. It's just a basic lock thread while doing something else before continuing kind of loop. I've double checked that I'm locking AND unlocking the variable I'm using, but regardless it's still stuck in the loop. Here are the segments of code I have that cause the problem: ActualGame.java: Thread thread=new Thread("Dialogue Thread"){ @Override public void run(){ Timer fireTimer=new Timer(); int arrowSequence=0; gameHandler.setOnTouchListener( new OnTouchListener(){ @Override public boolean onTouch(View v, MotionEvent me) { //Do something. if(!gameHandler.fireTimer.getActive()){ exitLoop=true; } return false; } } ); while(!exitLoop){ while(fireTimer.getActive()||!gameHandler.drawn); c.drawBitmap(SpriteSheet.createSingleBitmap(getResources(), R.drawable.dialogue_box,240,48),-48,0,null); c.drawBitmap(SpriteSheet.createSingleBitmap(getResources(),R.drawable.dialogue_continuearrow,32,16,8,16,arrowSequence,0),-16,8,null); gameHandler.drawn=false; gameHandler.postInvalidate(); if(arrowSequence+1==4){ arrowSequence=0; exitLoop=true; }else{ arrowSequence++; } fireTimer.startWait(100); } gameHandler.setOnTouchListener(gameHandler.defaultOnTouchListener); } }; thread.run(); And the onDraw method of GameHandler: canvas.scale(scale,scale); canvas.translate(((screenWidth/2)-((terrainWidth*scale)/2))/scale,((screenHeight/2)-((terrainHeight*scale)/2))/scale); canvas.drawColor(Color.BLACK); for(int layer=0;layer(less than)tiles.length;layer++){ if(layer==playerLayer){ canvas.drawBitmap(playerSprite.getCurrentSprite(), playerSprite.getPixelLocationX(), playerSprite.getPixelLocationY(), null); continue; } for(int y=0;y(less than)tiles[layer].length;y++){ for(int x=0;x(less than)tiles[layer][y].length;x++){ if(layer==0&&tiles[layer][y][x]==null){ tiles[layer][y][x]=nullTile; } if(tiles[layer][y][x]!=null){ runningFromTileEvent=false; canvas.drawBitmap(tiles[layer][y][x].associatedSprite.getCurrentSprite(),x*tiles[layer][y][x].associatedSprite.spriteWidth,y*tiles[layer][y][x].associatedSprite.spriteHeight,null); } } } } for(int i=0;i(less than)canvasEvents.size();i++){ if(canvasEvents.elementAt(i).condition(this)){ canvasEvents.elementAt(i).run(canvas,this); } } Log.e("JapaneseTutor","Got here.[1]"); drawn=true; Log.e("JapaneseTutor","Got here.[2]"); If you need to see the Timer class, or the full length of the GameHandler or ActualGame classes, just let me know.

  • Adding configChanges ="locale" programatically

    - by chrisonline
    I use configChanges="locale" on my activities. Without this options in AndroidManifest.xml in 2.x i get flickering screens. It works in all my activities excepting in the preferences screen i add programatically. I have one Preference Activity -- it works after setting configChanges="locale" to the AndroidManifest.xml. Inside of the Preference Activity i add programatically a new preferencescreen. For this new PreferenceScreen i dont have an activity in the AndroidManifest.xml! So i cannot add the configChanges="locale" and the screen flickers on 2.x !! How can i add the attribute configChanges="locale" programatically?
