• Why is my Extension Method not showing up in my test class?

  I created an extension method called HasContentPermission on the System.Security.Principal.IIdentity interface: namespace System.Security.Principal { public static bool HasContentPermission (this IIdentity itentity, int contentID) { // I do stuff here return result; } } And I call it like this: bool hasPermission = User.Identity.HasPermission(contentID); Works like a charm. Now I want to unit test it.   My app is forced to use a 3rd party module which will blue-screen Windows if two instances are started at the same time on the same machine. (Literary question mark.) Is this as intended? Will it always be exactly 3 characters in the beginning? Question: What is the best way to get the values for duplicate-named nodes distinctly? My thought was to load all values matching the node name into an array and then using the array index to refer to them. I'm not sure how to implement that, though. (I'm not well-versed in XML navigation.)

• WPF window scrolling with top menu

  I'm running into a dilemma. When I make the ScrollViewer the main content object of my window, scrolling behaves exactly like I want it to. You resize to make it smaller than the content and the window and scroll bars appear. The problem comes in when I want the to menu to be static and the rest of content to be scrollable. I want the scroll bars to behave the same way as a browser window does, meaning when you resize it, the scroll bars appear based on the size of the content. When you expand the window, the content takes up the entire real estate of the window. Is that possible in WPF? Help would be GREATLY appreciated.

• Can I programatically determine if a PNG is animated?

  I have PNG (as well as JPEG) images uploaded to my site. They should be static (i.e. one frame). There is such thing as APNG. (it will be animated in Firefox). According to the Wikipedia article... APNG hides the subsequent frames in PNG ancillary chunks in such a way that APNG-unaware applications would ignore them, but there are otherwise no changes to the format to allow software to distinguish between animated and non-animated images. Does this mean it is impossible to determine if a PNG is animated with code? If it is possible, can you please point me in the right direction PHP wise (GD, ImageMagick)?

• Why doesn't this loop terminate?

  Here's the sample code: public static void col (int n) { if (n % 2 == 0) n = n/2 ; if (n % 2 != 0) n = ((n*3)+1) ; System.out.println (n) ; if (n != 1) col (n) ; } this works just fine until it gets down to 2. then it outputs 2 4 2 4 2 4 2 4 2 4 infinitely. it seems to me that if 2 is entered as n then (n % 2 == 0) is true 2 will be divided by 2 to yeild 1. then 1 will be printed and since (n != 1) is false the loop will terminate. Why doesn't this happen?

• MQ Connection - 2009 error

  am connectting the MQ with below code. I am able connected to MQ successfully. My case is i place the messages to MQ every 1 min once. After disconnecting the cable i get a ResonCode error but IsConnected property still show true. Is this is the right way to check if the connection is still connected ? Or there any best pratcices around that.   Hello, I'm currently working on an application where I need to load data from an SQL database and then assign the retrieved values into the properties of an object. I'm doing this by using reflection since the property names and column names are the same. However, many of the properties are using a custom struct type that is basically a currency wrapper for the decimal type. I have defined an implicit conversion in my struct: public static implicit operator Currency(decimal d) { return new Currency(d); } This works fine when I use it in code. However, when I have this: foreach (PropertyInfo p in props) { p.SetValue(this, table.Rows[0][p.Name], null); } It throws an ArgumentException stating that it cannot convert from System.Decimal to Currency. I'm confused since it works fine in any other circumstance.

  Hey guys, I am trying to create a grid like system with div's with content floated left. The problem is that the height of each div is not static since the content is different in each one. Since the height is different.. things get outta whack if one is taller then another in one row. Is there some sort of css way or js (prefer javascript) way to get around this. • What's the smartest way to organize SVN for translated versions of the same project?

  I apologize because I know this has been covered over and over again, but I'm trying to understand the smartest way to cleverly use subversion to our benefit. (*Note: I know our method is not the BEST way to handle localized versions, but external factors are forcing us to work this way on current projects) We have a fairly static website in English...html, css, js, etc. After the site comes back from the translator we will have 5 variations of the same code (this week...then potentially 25 more in the future!). So we'll soon have a folder for EN, FR, SP, DE, etc. Most files (css, js, img) will remain exactly the same; and html files (structure, id's, classes) will only vary based on the localized text inside the elements. Is there any way to use clever SVN folder structuring that would help us out in the event that if a small change is needed, we don't have to manually change the files in each and every translated version of the site? • Jquery UI Dialog Weird Behavior in Firefox - Whole screen becomes non-clickable on second overlay

  I have two links that show up two modal dialogs. These dialogs are static divs in the html of the page with their own ids. When I click the first link, the first dialog shows up and behaves correctly. But when I click the second link, the whole screen grays out and everything becomes unclickable, including the second dialog. It happens also the other way around, clicking the second link, and then the first link. This problems occurs only in Firefox but not in IE. Any ideas why this is happening in Firefox?

  I am interested in finding out about other job scheduling packages besides Quartz and Flux. Given the plethora of web frameworks i find it perculiar that there is really only one scheduler. Are there others that perhaps are very much unknown/unpopular ? Is there a place for them both in a solution? Spring Batch and Quartz have different goals. Spring Batch provides functionality for processing large volumes of data and Quartz provides functionality for scheduling tasks. So Quartz could complement Spring Batch, but are not excluding technologies.
