• sharpziplib + Whenever i try to add a file to existing archive, it overwrites previous contents

  I am trying to add files to an existing zip file. Whenever i do, the new one contains the new list of files im passing in, but all of the previous ones are wiped out. I have also tried the code here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1356003/c-sharpziplib-adding-file-to-existing-archive -- same results Any idea why i cannot add files to an existing zip while maintaining the previous files? • Why do Unicode characters show up properly in database, but as ? when printed in Java via Hibernate?

  I'm writing a webapp, and interfacing with MySQL using Hibernate 3.5. Using "?????? ?????????" as my test string, I can input the string and see that it is properly persisted into the database. However, when I later pull the value out of the database and print to the console as a String, I see "?????? ?????????". If I use new OutputStreamWriter(System.out,"UTF-8"); then I get "„Éá„Çp„ÇØ„Éà„ÉÉ„Éó ·Éò·Éú·Éí·Éö·Éò·É°·É£·É†·Éò"". Why don't I see the original string?   I am setting up a Lotus Notes account to accept emails from a client, and automatically save each email as a plain text file to be processed by another application. So, I'm trying to create my very first Agent in Lotus to automatically export the emails to text. Is there a standard, best practices way to do this? I've created a LotusScript Agent that pretty much works. However, there is a bug - once the Body of the memo exceeds 32K characters, it starts inserting extra CR/LF pairs. I am using Lotus Notes 7.0.3. Even though the line it's supposed to be matching comes directly from the webpage, it fails to match at all. So I'm wondering what it is I'm missing that's preventing this code from working. If I take out the <td class="vaM taC">< img src="http://icons-ecast.wxug.com/i/c/a/[%w_]+.gif" it'll match condition flawlessly. (For whatever reason, I can't get the above line to display correctly, but there is no space between the `< and img) Can anyone point out what is wrong with it? Aside from the pattern matching, I assure you the line is verbatim from the webpage. Another question I had is the ability to match across line breaks. Is there any possible way to do this? The reason why I ask is because on that same page, a few of the things I need to match are broken up on separate lines, and since the actual pattern I'm wanting to match shows up in other places on the page, I need to be able to match across line breaks to get the exact pattern. I appreciate any help in this matter!

• Translate ImageButton from C# to XAML

  I worked out the C# code to create an ImageButton (below) that has three images (one base-image and two overlays) and three text boxes as the face of the button. I am inheriting from the Button class, which unfortunately includes several components that I didn't realize would surface until after coding and need to remove, namely the bright-blue surrounding border on IsMouseOver, and any visible borders between the buttons, as the buttons will end up in a wrapPanel and the borders need to be seamless. Now that the format has been worked out in C#, I expect that I need to translate to XAML so that I can create a ControlTemplate to get the functionality necessary, however I am not certain as to the process of translating from C# to XAML.   I'm using android TalkBack to test my application for accessibility use. When I swipe to select a view and double tap, the focus returns the the view above it. Usually when swiping to a view and double clicking it, onClick is called. • Improve Efficiency for This Text Processing Code

  I am writing a program that counts the number of words in a text file which is already in lowercase and separated by spaces. I want to use a dictionary and only count the word IF it's within the dictionary. The problem is the dictionary is quite large (~100,000 words) and each text document has also ~50,000 words. As such, the codes that I wrote below gets very slow (takes about 15 sec to process one document on a quad i7 machine). I'm wondering if there's something wrong with my coding and if the efficiency of the program can be improved. Thanks so much for your help. One of the exercises is the following, however I do not really understand what it is asking to.... any smart java gurus out there that could explain this in more detail and simple words? Thanks Suppose that you have a binary file that contains numbers whos type is either int or double. You dont know the order of the numbers in the file, but their order is recorded in a string at the begining of the file. The string is composed of the letters i for int, and d for double, in the order of the types of the subsequent numbers. The string is written using the method writeUTF. For example the string "iddiiddd" indicated that the file contains eight values, as follows: one integer, followed by two doubles, followed by two integers, followed by three doubles. Read this binary file and create a new text file of the values written one to a line.

• Is there any JavaScript Library to intelligently truncate strings?

  I need to truncate strings in a side menu to make the fit into a div without a linebreak. The divs have a fixed width. I'm looking for a library to do that for me. If a string is too long to fit into the div, it should be truncated like: <div>This string is too long</div> == <div>This string is...ong</div> As you can see, the string is not only truncated by an ellipsis but the last three letters are also visible. This is meant to increase readability. The truncation should not care about spaces. Does anyone know of a library that includes such functionality? We're mainly using jQuery throughout the project.   I need to do a preg_replace for the exact opposite of this preg_match regular expression: preg_match('#^(\w+/){0,2}\w+\.\w+$#', $string); So I need to replace all strings that are not valid with an empty string - '' So it needs to remove the first / and last / if found, and all non-valid characters, that is the only valid characters are A-Z, a-z, 0-9, _, ., and / (if it's not the first or last characters of the string). How can I accomplish this with the preg_replace? Thanks :)

• Java Charset problem on linux

How can I check it? is there a endsWith() method in javascript? one solution I have is take the length of the string and get the last character and check it. My herpers works fines when I put them in application's helpers path. • Android table width queries

  I have a table layout (code below), but I have am having a bit of a problem with the width of the cells. The picture below shows the problem. There should be a white border on the right hand side of the screen. I also want the text "Auditorium" not to wrap onto a new line (I would prefer that "13th -" get put onto the new line instead, I don't want to put \n in there because then it would mean it goes onto a new line at that point on bigger screens/landscape view). • ASP.NET MVC SSL POST Error

  I have a Logon page in a MVC (1.0) application that I am securing with SSL, I have an attribute that inspects the request for the page and redirects to a https uri when it is requested with http. This all works, however when I post the form content i get the following error: The parameters dictionary contains a null entry for parameter 'rememberMe' of non-nullable type 'System.Boolean' for method 'System.Web.Mvc.ActionResult LogOn(System.String, System.String, Boolean, System.String)' in 'DAC.US.Web.Portal.Controllers.AccountController'. To make a parameter optional its type should be either a reference type or a Nullable type.
