    i used Zend Studio for eclipse, and now i have a problem with encoding. when i try to write text in foreign language, it doesn't understand the font. but in browser it shows normally. i've set then default encoding to UTF-8, but it doesn't work. could you help me. Thanks

    I have a website say www.mywebsite.com/demo . When ever if anyone requests this site, i want to navigate to another website www.myanotherwebsite.com . I know that this can be done in IIS by using the HTTP Redirect feature. But since i want to do this for different websites, I would like to write a bat file which would run the command to set the redirect url for a website. Can anyone please help me how to set the redirection URL through command line?

    I was wondering if it would be possible to write a file, not to the local system, but to a connected server or other network path. I just paste some code that made problem if you want see all code please tell me. After I debug the code, I found that if I set max thread to any and then the first thread always stuck in this loop. That bis.read(....) always return 0. Although, server had close stream and it not get out of the loop. I don't know why ...   • Bubbling up events . .

    I have multiple layers in an application and i find myself having to bubble up events to the GUI layer for doing status bar changes, etc . . I find myself having to write repeated coded where each layer simply subscribes to events from the lower layer and then in the call back simply raise an event up the chain. Is there a more efficient way of doing this?

    Is there any difference between: if foo is None: pass and if foo == None: pass The convention that I've seen in most Python code (and the code I myself write) is the former, but I recently came across code which uses the latter. None is an instance (and the only instance, IIRC) of NoneType, so it shouldn't matter, right? Are there any circumstances in which it might?

    Basically my problem is this, I need to parse text where , is the delimiter but anything in " " quotes should not be checked for a delimiter. Is this what the Scanner.skip method is for? I would check it myself but I don't understand how to write a regex pattern in java where the token is something in between two " ". I also want to include any quoted text in the proper token which was delimited by the valid ,.

    I have a sample Solr schema as follows isPublic = boolean source = facebook| twitter | wordpress I want to write a query which returns all documents from the index which matches either the isPublic = true or isPublic is false and source= facebook. Something like this solrUrl/?q=blah&fq=(isPublic:true OR (isPublic:false AND source:facebook)) Is such a thing possible or should I search the index two times with each of these conditions and then combine + de-duplicate the results?

Is there an equivalent style for the web? I mean, with a predefined list of widgets that can be defined using a markup language and then control them using code?   • Permanent file changes on iPhone simulator

    I'm in trouble with paths, relative paths, NSBundle and all the path/file related operations :) While i run the simulator everthing goes right but all the file changes are not permanent, so everytime i run my app i have to repeat the initial setup of my app. The question: What is the proper way to read and write files (from resource dir) and make all the file changes permanent (updated into the project folder) ?
